This thermal cut out switch is mounted directly to the heating element so as soon as the heating element get too hot the bi-metal switch will activate and cut the power to the element. It can also trigger an E3 or E4 error when this happens on the display.
If you are an experienced single vessel brewer and don't use the overflow pipe. This malt pipe screen is the perfect upgrade for just that! The Gen 4 BrewZilla nixed the overflow pipe, so this is a direct replacement part for that unit. But this screen can also be used with the Gen 3 BrewZilla if you don't use the overflow pipe.

The PPSU Sight Glass uses radial sealing in order to not leak, even under pressure from a 25W pump. This is a very similar design to the Duotight fittings that also use two O-rings. Incase one breaks, or leaks, there is another to save the day.

On this model the ball valve tap was relocated underneath the unit, allowing for a super low profile false bottom that molds itself to the concave bottom of the BrewZilla. This also allowed for a larger malt pipe for bigger grain bills and provides a filter for protecting the easy access pump.
It is not suitable for DigiBoils or Gen 3.1.1 or older BrewZillas, as those models do not have a concave bottom.

When assembling the sight glass to upgrade your existing Gen 3 or Gen 4 BrewZilla, you will reuse the female camlock x female 1/2" fitting that comes on the recirculation arm, or you need to purchase a separate fitting for the end of your custom build.
