Stainless steel tri clamp (also referred to as tri clover) fittings are a sanitary, gasketed and clamped connection. Currently used in almost every commercial brewery and winery in the United States, these are becoming increasingly popular in home breweries, too! While there are TC to thread adapter fittings, the main benefit of using this style fitting is because they generally are threadless, making them very easy to keep clean and sanitary. Teflon gasket with 304 stainless mesh screen for 2" tri-clamp connections. Can be used as a filter screen to trap large particulates passing through T.C. fittings. Often used for distillation to retain activated carbon for filtering neutral spirits or used in pot distillation to retain botanicals in the vapor stream. The screen has a mesh size of 16 which will block particles larger than 1.19mm or 1190 microns. This mesh size makes this screen ideal for use in a filer setup with activated carbon.
