We recently had a simple, yet exciting idea: What if we brewed the same recipe, used the same yeast, but changed one thing - the flavor, aroma, and dry hop additions using one hop varietal. That way we could take two beers that are close to identical and pick out the differences in just the hop flavors and aromas! And thus, the Single Hop Experiment was born. This recipe is based off of a simple Pale Ale: Ultralight malt extract, Crystal 15L, Magnum bittering hops, and then a single other hop for the rest of the additions. The malt in this recipe is basic and fairly neutral, the bittering clean and consistent, but the flavor and aroma from the late hop additions will vary; sometimes dramatically! Ever wanted to know what your favorite hop really is? Brew a few of these different Single Hop Experiment recipes to find out!

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

A few years ago we had a competition in our showrooms for the best Holiday Beer. The winner was an unknown brewer named Kyle Sommers. We actually hired Kyle following the competition to work in our customer service office(see where good homebrew will get you!) In 2010 Kyle graduated from the Siebel Institute to continue his dream of becoming a professional Brewmaster. He is now brewing at Lagunitas.
We loved the big body, rich malt, and the extremely complex spice blend. When we went to make the recipe for sale we thought twice because we had to buy out the spice section of our local grocer.
Based on a Northern English style Brown Ale, it has 6 different spices added at two different times in the brewing and fermentation process, resembling and inspired by a Belgian-style winter beer. This winter warmer will make your kitchen smell like Thanksgiving Day at Grandma's house. With some added Belgian brown sugar to counter-balance the spice and add some alcohol content, this is a great way to top off your Holiday adventures by the fireside. If you are a firm believer in the Reinheitsgebot (no spices, sugar, etc.), this is not the beer for you!
Kyle suggests using White Labs English Ale yeast, WLP002

SH-45 is the ideal lager yeast to enhance hop thiol release
Expect enhanced levels of fruitiness and intensified citrus and tropical notes
Fermentis active dry yeast offers reliability, ease-of-use, and consistency to home and professional beverage makers across the world
SafLager™ SH-45 is a carefully selected lager yeast, ideal for expressing some of the aromatic compounds coming from the raw materials in beer, more specifically the hops. This strain possesses the capability to release and esterify thiols. As a result, beers crafted with SafLagerTM SH-45 may present enhanced levels of fruitiness with intensified citrus and tropical notes.
This yeast can be pitched directly, but if you prefer to rehydrate, the instructions are below.

Pressure Rated to 2.5 Bar (36.2 psi)
Height in Stand - 35"
Tank Diameter - 14"
Lid Ports - 28 mm PCO 1881 threads
Temperature Rating:
When not under pressure, do not expose to liquids above 131°F
When under pressure, do not expose to any temperatures above 95°F*
*Please note that the temperature rating for the FermZilla tank is lower when using it under pressure. When not under pressure, it is perfectly safe to transfer wort into the tank below 131°F or to use hot liquids below this temp for cleaning. When under pressure, make sure to keep your fermentation temperature below 95°F and keep the fermenter in an environment that is below 95°F ambient. This is especially important when fermenting with kveik yeast. These strains are known to ferment hot if no temperature control is being used. Exceeding the temperature rating may compromise the tank, leading to a shorter life span or sudden failure to maintain pressure. Even with proper use, we recommend replacing the tank every two years.
Kegland Part number: KL47289
NOTE: FermZilla tanks are marked with a manufacturer’s “expiry date”. This does not indicate that the tank is bad after this date; it simply indicates that a hydro test may be in order. 2 years after production and every 2 years after first use, it is recommended that the tank be hydro tested to ensure the tank is holding pressure. Hydro test instructions are available below. You will also need the D1072 Green PRV to perform the test. If you do not plan to pressurize the fermenter, the test is not necessary.

Brewmaster Belgian Candi Syrups are premium flavoring sugars to enhance the flavor of authentic Belgian-tasting beers
Flavor: Toffee, vanilla, and toasted flavors
Recommended for Belgian Brown Ales and medium Golden Ales
Amber is a rich translucent amber syrup. We've tested it in Chimay clones and Belgian Brown Ales. The unmistakable toffee, vanilla, and toasted flavors that are magically created from raw beet sugar are what make Amber Syrup uniquely aromatic and delicious. Exceedingly good in Brown Ales or medium Golden Ales that require an aromatic nose and subtle flavor.
One pound of Amber Candi Syrup will add an estimated SRM of 7.5L to 6 gallons of wort.

Note: This product may crystallize in cold temperatures. To restore its original consistency, warm the bottle by soaking it, or warm it in a dry environment at 140°F (60°C). Please ensure the product is stored at or above 68°F (20°C).
Stainless steel shank comes with a back nut, plastic collar, and a 3/16" tailpiece with hex nut and gasket. If desired, the barb can be removed and swapped for a different size or replaced with a Duotight x Beer Thread Adapter. This size of beer shank is a popular choice for building your own custom draft system. Typically installed in the door of a refrigerator or the wooden collar of a converted chest freezer. The shank’s listed size refers to the total length of threaded pipe. Approximately 1-1/8” are needed to account for the thickness of the finishing collar on the front and the space for the locknut on the back. Please take this into account when sizing the shank for your project. Installation Note: On a fridge there are generally no coolant lines running through the door but please check to see there are no lines connecting the door and the rest of the refrigerator. To test for coolant lines on a freezer start with a warm freezer then plug the unit in with the lid open. You should be able to see the lines form condensation on the inside of the freezer where there are lines running. Please still use caution when drilling. Dimensions: 4-1/4" - Total Length (Tip to Tip) 3-1/8" - Shank Length (Without Nut & Nipple) 2-1/4" - Thread Length 1-3/4" - Pass Through Length 3/16" Nipple
Made from corrosion resistant, engineered Aluminum
New high quality CGA-320 valve
DOT approved
Brand new aluminum 5 lb CO2 tank made from high strength aluminum alloy and high quality CGA320 valves. Because it is made of aluminum rather than steel you can feel confident that it won’t rust. It’s called a 5 lb tank because it holds 5 lbs of compressed (liquified) CO2. 5 lbs of CO2 is enough to dispense about 8 to 9x 5-gallon kegs of homebrew.
Aluminum tanks are superior to steel because they do not rust. All tanks are shipped empty. To have tanks filled you will want to visit your local welding supply shop. Because you are purchasing a new tank you can choose to either have it filled or to exchange it for a filled tank at your local gas supplier. If you have this tank filled the local gas supplier is responsible for affixing the correct neck label that identifies the gas being put in the cylinder.
Tanks should always be stored in an upright position.
Features:
Made from corrosion resistant, engineered Aluminum
Brushed finish
Thick, durable cylinder walls
18" T x 5.25 Ø
DOT approved
New high quality CGA-320 valve
Light weight compared to steel tanks

Combo Pack Includes: BrewZilla Brewing System | Gen 4 | 9.25G | 220V Neoprene Jacket Hop Spider Wort Chiller Connection Kit Gen 4 BrewZilla All-in-One Brewing System WiFi / Bluetooth enabled RAPT Controller tracks your brewday and automatically uploads detailed information to the RAPT portal The top mounted RAPT Controller can be tilted upward for easy viewing, or detached from the unit to mount it on the wall or placed on your bench Mirror polished dome shaped bottom with center drain — get every last bit of wort into your fermenter while the perforated bottom screen filters out 95% of hot break and hop matter Make larger batches or higher gravity beers! BrewZilla offers the largest malt pipe capacity for units in its size range, and the Gen 4 unit has a 30% larger malt pipe compared to the previous generation Perforated bottom on the newly designed malt pipe allows for improved mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency Element power percentage can be adjusted via the RAPT Controller. Go full power to heat up quickly, or dial it down so you don’t overshoot your strike water temp The built-in pump is plumbed to both the recirculation and arm and the bottom ball valve. Recirculate wort during your mash, then close the recirculation valve and pump wort to your fermenter via the bottom valve Pair with the RAPT-enabled Bluetooth Thermometer, allowing your BrewZilla to calculate a core mash temperature reading and more accurately control temperatures and mash steps More RAPT-enabled accessories are coming, and future firmware updates can be downloaded to the RAPT Controller itself over the internet WiFi/Bluetooth Enabled RAPT Controller The RAPT Controller is mounted to the top of the boiler body, allowing for easy operation when you have the unit set on the ground. The controller can be tilted upwards to give you an even better view, or it can be removed from the BrewZilla entirely if you’d prefer to mount the controller on your wall or lay it down on a workbench. From the controller, you’ll orchestrate your entire brew day. Program mash steps, dial in element power, and operate the integrated pump all from one screen. But the RAPT Controller is much more than a beautiful, full-color display switch board. Once synced to the RAPT Portal, you’ll be able to track, record and monitor your brews online. No need for handwriting notes or punching brew day details into your phone – all of the data from your brew is automatically logged to your portal profile. This information doesn’t just include your mash profile; it also captures detailed information about your element power and pump activity, opening the door for very precise repeatability. And the RAPT Portal isn’t just a digital archive for your brew days. With your BrewZilla powered on, you can control your brewery from virtually anywhere using your phone’s web browser. Not sure when you’ll be home from work or your kid’s ball game going into extra innings? No problem! Before you head out, simply log into the RAPT Portal from your phone and tell the BrewZilla to start heating your strike water. Along with remote control, the portal enables you to program alarms and push notifications for all of your boil additions. We’ve all been caught up with a side task and failed to throw in that yeast nutrient or clarifying agent at the end of the boil, but the BrewZilla has the back of even the most forgetful brewer! But wait, there’s more! In addition to WiFi connectivity, the RAPT Controller is also a Bluetooth gateway device. KegLand is currently developing various Bluetooth devices such as the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer and other sensors which will be compatible with your brewery upon release. The RAPT Controller is able to receive information from Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices, adjusting its processes based on this new stream of information while simultaneously logging it to your RAPT Portal. With the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer, for example, you’ll be able to feed temperature readings from the top of your mash bed to the controller. The controller will then compare this reading with the main temp probe reading at the base of the kettle and adjust element cycling based on these combined readings. Finally, the RAPT Controller WiFi connectivity allows you to update the controller’s firmware with a single click. Take advantage of new features and accessories as soon as they become available by simply keeping your BrewZilla connected to your local WiFi network. And again, the WiFi is already built-in! No need to come back for an expensive add-on accessory down the road. High Capacity Malt Pipe With an approximately 23.5 lb capacity, the BrewZilla can mash nearly 50% more grain than similar sized models of the Anvil Foundry and Grainfather G30. If you want to fill your fermenter with more than a 5-gallon batch worth of wort, or brew the highest gravity beer recipes, the BrewZilla is the brewhouse for the job. And the included malt pipe is just the beginning. If you want to expand your brewery’s grain capacity even further, KegLand makes Boiler Extension Kits and Extended Malt Pipes for that very purpose. The malt pipe features a perforated section at the bottom which improves mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency. Concave Base with Center Draining Leave no wort behind! The concave base with center drain means you’ll be able to extract every last drop of wort to your fermenter. If you’ve brewed in a traditional flat bottom kettle, this center drain may be a bit perplexing at first. Many brewers are used to whirlpooling after the boil to pull hop matter into the center of the kettle, then transfer out using a pick-up tube that pulls from the kettle wall in order to avoid sucking up the solids. But fear not! One of the key features of the BrewZilla is the false bottom protection screen. This screen avoids the need for doing a whirlpool, filtering wort as it transfers and blocking more than 95% of hops and hot break from getting sucked into the pump. This not only prevents blocked pump issues, it also increases the efficiency of your brewhouse by eliminating kettle loss from wort that may have otherwise been left behind. Ultra Low Watt Density Elements The concave base on the BrewZilla also allowed for larger heating elements with significantly lower watt density than other breweries. When a lot of energy is coming off of a small element, the local temperature near the element can be so high that it scorches the wort and causes caramelization. Lower watt density essentially means you can produce lighter color beers that would otherwise have fallen victim to caramelization effect. It also reduces that chance of boilovers and reduces stress on the elements which extends their life expectancy. Easy Access Built-In Pump The built-in pump allows you to recirculate your wort during the mash for improved efficiency and more even temperature distribution. But it can also be used to transfer your wort from kettle to fermenter rather than relying on a gravity feed, and with the optional CIP Rotar, you can used the pump to clean your BrewZilla (or fermenter) after every use. During your brew day you’ll be able to control the pump from the RAPT Controller with a dedicated button for turning the pump on and off. Another feature you’ll find on the controller is adjusting the pump flow. This doesn’t control the actual volume of the flow (you can do that from the ball valve located on the recirculation arm), but rather cycles the pump on and off automatically based on your setting. At 100%, the pump remains on continuously. But at 80%, the pump will cycle to be on 80% of the time and off 20% of the time. This may not be a feature that every brewer thinks they need, but it’s an excellent way to avoid running the pump dry accidentally, as the time the pump is off allows recirculating wort to filter through the grain bed and back into the pump inlet. If you flip over the boiler, you’ll find the magnetic drive pump and all the plumbing is right at your fingertips. This means you don’t have to disassemble the base in order to access the pump for cleaning or maintenance if required. It also means the plumbing can be changed more easily too. For instance, the unit comes as standard with the plumbing from the pump feeding both the recirculation arm and the transfer valve, but you change this so the tap outlet bypasses the pump if you prefer. MoreBeer!'s Final Word We’ve been selling all-in-one brewing systems ever since they first hit the market, and we have to say that the Gen 4 BrewZilla is not only the most feature-packed unit ever made, it’s also offered at an incredibly competitive price point when compared to other systems. You’ll get all of the cutting edge Bluetooth technology you’d get with the Grainfather and at an exceptionally lower price tag. Plus, you get the WiFi capabilities as standard, rather than as a $100 add-on accessory. When it comes to mash recirculation, that’s yet another built-in feature on the BrewZilla, and the pump can also be used for transferring and CIP cleaning. The Foundry has a great starting price, but if you want to unlock its full potential, you’ll need to spend another $100 for the recirculation pump kit. What’s more, no other system in the same ‘weight class’ has the same grain capacity. And if the standard capacity isn’t quite enough, the BrewZilla can be easily upgraded with a Boiler Body Extension Kit and Extended Malt Pipe. When you purchase the BrewZilla, you can feel confident that you’re investing in a top shelf system and all of the critical features you’re expecting will be included. Perfect for Distillation If you want to expand your lineup of homemade libations to offer Spirits in addition to Ales & Lagers, the BrewZilla makes an excellent pot still! Add the Distillation Lid upgrade and pair it with an AlcoEngine Copper Reflux Condenser or Copper Pot Still Top. AlcoEngine Stills have been selling on the home market for years and offer some of the most affordable, beginner-friendly stills you'll find. Please Note: When removing the malt pipe to drain after mashing, it is important to do so slowly rather than in one swift pull. If the malt pipe is removed all at once when it is full of wort, it is possible for the draining wort to spray out and over the rim of the brewery through the perforated bottom. Remove the malt pipe slowly so that some of the wort can drain out before it is fully removed and set on its bottom feet. This can be done by hand on the 35L unit, but for the 65L and 100L units we highly recommend using the Pulley System for removing the malt pipe. Warning: Do not engage the adjustable lid clamps when brewing with the BrewZilla's standard glass lid. The clamps are only intended to be used with distillation lids or other metal accessories. With too much tension, it is possible for the lid clamps to break the glass lid when engaged. Warning: If you are going to use an extension cord with the BrewZilla, you must ensure that the cord is the correct gauge and properly rated to suit the power requirements of your brewery. See the reference chart below for the recommended gauge based on your unit and the length of cord you wish to use. 35L (110V) 35L (220V) 65L (220V) 100L (220V) 10 ft. 14 Gauge 14 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 25 ft. 14 Gauge 14 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 50 ft. 12 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 8 Gauge

Commonly referred to by the acronym GSM, which denotes the three grapes used in this popular blend. Grenache, Shiraz, and Mourvedre are three prominent grapes grown in the Côtes du Rhône region of France, and have become popular plantings in growing regions all over the world. The richness of Grenache perfectly blends with the peppery, spicy character of Syrah and Mourvedre.
The VineCo Original GSM features Australian juices that result in a decadent red blend with flavors of black cherry, spice, and blackberry. The boisterous flavors are balanced with a heavy oaking. The Grenache Shiraz Mourvedre blend is a dry, medium-full bodied red with a stout alcohol content of 13% by volume. This GSM kit uses medium toast oak to impart a very subtle balance of vanillin and spice along with a subdued oakiness.

20cm x 20cm filter pads made for 20x20 plate filters. 0.8 micron pads are for ultra-fine polishing of the wine, or for preparing hard to filter wines to go through a sterile cartridge filter. Please note that all pad filters are rated 'nominal', meaning that about 90-95% of all particulate matter at the micron rating will be filtered out. There will always be a little bit of smaller material that is also filtered out, as well as some larger material that will make it through.
The filters can be sterilized by in-line steam, auto-claving, dry heat, hot water or chemical methods. We choose to run Saniclean (CL27) solution through the pads followed by sterile water or a small amount of wine that is then discarded. After the solution is run through the pads, and the pads have softened, the filter will need to be re-tightened.
Each pad has an entry side and an exit side, distinguishable by their different textures. The entry side is a billowy type texture, frequently called the "rough" side; and the exit side has a crosshatch pattern and is commonly called the "smooth" side. For more information on how to load filter sheets into your plate and frame filter, see our Guide to Plate Filtering.

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Social Kitchen & Brewery Decidedly dry yet sneaky drinkable and thirst-quenching with notes of tart citrus and tropical fruit Includes El Dorado and Mosaic® hops Estimated ABV: 6.9% Estimated IBUs: 24 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer If you're blue, and you don't know where to go to, why don't you go where dry beer sits? Puttin' on the Spritz! There's a new style on the scene that has everyone tapping their toes, and we're excited to bring you a beer from the man who started the tune. In our latest addition to the BrewMaster Series lineup we have one of the original Brut IPA's - Puttin' on the Spritz! This hybrid IPA is the brainchild of Kim Sturdavant of Social Kitchen & Brewery in San Francisco, California. We first met Kim on our journey to brew with and understand the amyglucosidase enzyme (the signature ingredient responsible for a Brut's dry character). Kim, being the stand-up fella that he is, was kind enough to not only share his knowledge of the AMG enzyme, but also the very recipe that shook up the brew scene and inspired countless iterations of the style. Despite its dry character, Puttin' on the Spritz is sneaky drinkable with a thirst-quenching profile. El Dorado and Mosaic® hops impart tart citrus and tropical fruit notes, while a malt bill primarily featuring pilsner DME and flaked corn makes for an ultra-clean finish with almost no caramel or overt malty flavors. Crisp, dry, clean, crushable. Curious about Brut IPA's? Check out There and Back Again, A Brut IPA Tale! In this article, our own Vito Delucchi takes us along on his quest to unlock the mysteries of the amyloglucosidase enzyme and discover the best methods for brewing Brut IPA's. Also be sure to check out Kim's Brut IPA website where he discusses the philosophies, techniques, and history of this emerging style. Makes 5 gallons Estimated Original Gravity: 1.048 SRM (Color Range): 3 IBUs: 24 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 6.9% Ultra Ferm Included (AD364) Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”. For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All included steeping grains will come milled.
Mosaic® is a registered trademark owned by Yakima Chief Hops, LLC.
Fast-Acting Hot-Side Clarifier: SilaFine Hot rapidly improves wort clarity in the kettle and whirlpool by helping form a tighter, more compact trub pile for cleaner cast-out.
Improves Knockout Speed: By accelerating sedimentation, SilaFine Hot supports shorter whirlpool rests and more efficient brewhouse operation.
Supports Better Fermentation: Clearer wort entering the fermenter can lead to faster, healthier fermentations and reduced haze precursors in finished beer.
Vegan-Friendly & Purity Compliant: Made from pure, natural silica sol, SilaFine Hot is vegan-friendly and complies with the Reinheitsgebot German beer purity law.
SilaFine Hot is an easy-to-use fining agent designed specifically for the hot side. Added during the boil or directly into the whirlpool, it helps bind and settle haze-forming particles and coarse trub so wort runs bright and clean into the fermenter. SilaFine Hot does not affect foam-positive proteins or beer flavor.
Use
Add SilaFine Hot during the last 5 minutes of the boil or inline to the whirlpool stream for full dispersion. Allow the whirlpool rest to compact trub before knockout.
Standard Dose:
0.5–1 mL per gallon
15–30 mL per hL
19–38 mL per bbl
Use the higher end of the range for adjunct-heavy or high-protein worts, such as those containing wheat, oats, or large percentages of rice or corn. Avoid overdosing, as excessive finings may temporarily increase haze and lengthen settling time.
Whirlpool Best Practices
Add separately from late hop additions for best clarity.
Ensure adequate mixing or flow when dosing.
Expect a tighter, more stable trub cone and improved wort clarity at knockout.
Works effectively in both small brewhouses and large commercial systems.
Additional Notes
SilaFine Hot uses a commercial-grade silica sol at 30% concentration and is compliant with global beer purity standards.
Do not freeze. Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Recommended shelf life: 12 months from opening.
Allergen Free. GMO Free.

Designed for Brewing. Built to Last.
BrewBuilt brew kettles are made from 304 stainless steel and offer an unparalleled mix of features for the price. At the very top of the list are two welded-in place tri-clamp couplers that offer a lifetime of leak free use. As you can imagine, welding in a coupler costs more than punching a hole and using a gasketed (i.e. weld-less) fitting. Welded fittings offer a permanent connection that to us is worth every penny. The second unique feature that we absolutely love about these brew kettles is the notched lid with silicone plug. This notch allows you so much flexibility; you can use an immersion chiller, one of our Ultimate Sparge Arms for mashing, tie off hop bags, take a temp reading during cooling, or whatever else we all can dream up.
Our new T.C. kettles were designed to keep pace with the ever-evolving world of brewing technology. Tri-clamp fittings are standard fare in professional breweries, and they’ve been widely adopted in homebrewing as T.C. fermenters and pumps become more affordable and widely available. Tri-clamp fittings, also known as Tri-clover, allow you to make a sanitary connection that is free of nooks and crannies for contaminants to take hold. They are much easier to break down for cleaning compared to threaded connections, and they don’t require Teflon tape to make a watertight seal. T.C. fittings and accessories also give you the distinct advantage of being able to clean in place (CIP), so you don’t need to break down your entire system after every brew day.
Configurations
The base boil kettle comes without fittings so you can modify it the specific tri-clamp accessories that best suit your needs. Add one of the optional Brewing Kettle Valve Packs above which include your choice of valve and all the hardware you'll need to connect 1/2" ID transfer tubing, as well as an end cap to seal the top port if a thermometer or other accessory is not in place.
The Hot Liquor Tank includes the base kettle plus a kettle maximizer for the bottom port and thermometer with 2" probe for the top port. Clamps and gaskets are included to attach the tri-clamp kettle maximizer and the thermometer.
The Mash Tun includes the base kettle plus a false bottom kit for the bottom port and thermometer with 6" probe for the top port. Clamps and gaskets are included to attach the tri-clamp false bottom maximizer and the thermometer.
Kettles do not come with a valve or additional fittings for the bottom port as standard. Add one of our pre-configured Valve Packs or purchase your preferred valve and fittings separately.
This Brew Kettle has a lot to offer...
Some other features we dig include the internal volume markers from the bottom to the top - so handy for instant reads. The silicone sleeved handles on the kettle and the lid are a cool feature to protect your hands. The tri-clad bottom with a 4mm core of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel offers even heat distribution during the boil and also makes it a perfect choice for anyone wanting to use an induction burner.
Beefy 304 Stainless
These kettles are made from 304 grade stainless. That means you will have less corrosion issues than with a kettle made from lower grade 201 type stainless. We put these kettles through a corrosive salt water test in the MoreBeer! shop and they passed with flying colors. We also made sure the rivets and riveted handles were also made of stainless steel for a long term, trouble free life. The 10 and 15 gallon size are made from 1.0mm thick stainless steel. The 20, 30 and 50 gallon size are made with 1.2mm stainless - that's pretty thick stuff - and you will know it when you pick one up.
Mirror Polish Finish
The mirror polish finish isn’t just for making your Instagram feed pop! This extra slick finish is much easier to clean and sanitize than a standard brushed stainless kettle. Hop trub and other organic solids left behind after a brew day will have a hard time clinging to the interior surface and scrub away with ease.
Size Ratios and Stuff
All the BrewBuilt kettles follow the recent trend to a 1.2:1 ratio where the height is 1.2 times the diameter. This is a proven commercial ratio that has been adopted in homebrewing to achieve a more consistent 10% evaporation rate during the boil. We do like this ratio for boiling. For Mashing we would prefer a little bit shallower but that is a small compromise. Dimensions for a hot-liquor tank, if you are thinking brewing system down the road, are irrelevant as any ratio kettle will do.
Features:
