  • Low stock! 100L BrewZilla - Gen 4 - 220-240V 100L BrewZilla - Gen 4 - 220-240V

    BrewZilla All Grain Brewing System | Gen 4.1 | Integrated Pump | WiFi | Bluetooth | RAPT | 100L | 26.4G | 220V

Elevate your brewing game with the 220V 26 Gallon Gen 4 BrewZilla. This cutting-edge system combines more power & capcity with innovative features like wireless connectivity via WiFi & Bluetooth, allowing you to heat faster while you control and monitor your brew day, ensuring precision, convenience, and exceptional beer batch after batch!   WiFi / Bluetooth enabled RAPT Controller tracks your brewday and automatically uploads detailed information to the RAPT portal The top mounted RAPT Controller can be tilted upward for easy viewing, or detached from the unit to mount it on the wall or placed on your bench Mirror polished dome shaped bottom with center drain — get every last bit of wort into your fermenter while the perforated bottom screen filters out 95% of hot break and hop matter Perforated bottom on the newly designed malt pipe allows for improved mash recirculation flow without sacrificing efficiency Element power percentage can be adjusted via the RAPT Controller. Go full power to heat up quickly, or dial it down so you don’t overshoot your strike water temp The built-in pump is plumbed to both the recirculation and arm and the bottom ball valve. Recirculate wort during your mash, then close the recirculation valve and pump wort to your fermenter via the bottom valve Pair with the RAPT-enabled Bluetooth Thermometer, allowing your BrewZilla to calculate a core mash temperature reading and more accurately control temperatures and mash steps More RAPT-enabled accessories are coming, and future firmware updates can be downloaded to the RAPT Controller itself over the internet WiFi/Bluetooth Enabled RAPT Controller The RAPT Controller is mounted to the top of the boiler body, allowing for easy operation when you have the unit set on the ground. The controller can be tilted upwards to give you an even better view, or it can be removed from the BrewZilla entirely if you’d prefer to mount the controller on your wall or lay it down on a workbench. From the controller, you’ll orchestrate your entire brew day. Program mash steps, dial in element power, and operate the integrated pump all from one screen. But the RAPT Controller is much more than a beautiful, full-color display switch board. Once synced to the RAPT Portal, you’ll be able to track, record and monitor your brews online. No need for handwriting notes or punching brew day details into your phone – all of the data from your brew is automatically logged to your portal profile. This information doesn’t just include your mash profile; it also captures detailed information about your element power and pump activity, opening the door for very precise repeatability. And the RAPT Portal isn’t just a digital archive for your brew days. With your BrewZilla powered on, you can control your brewery from virtually anywhere using your phone’s web browser. Not sure when you’ll be home from work or your kid’s ball game going into extra innings? No problem! Before you head out, simply log into the RAPT Portal from your phone and tell the BrewZilla to start heating your strike water. Along with remote control, the portal enables you to program alarms and push notifications for all of your boil additions. We’ve all been caught up with a side task and failed to throw in that yeast nutrient or clarifying agent at the end of the boil, but the BrewZilla has the back of even the most forgetful brewer! But wait, there’s more! In addition to WiFi connectivity, the RAPT Controller is also a Bluetooth gateway device. KegLand is currently developing various Bluetooth devices such as the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer and other sensors which will be compatible with your brewery upon release. The RAPT Controller is able to receive information from Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices, adjusting its processes based on this new stream of information while simultaneously logging it to your RAPT Portal. With the Bluetooth Beacon Thermometer, for example, you’ll be able to feed temperature readings from the top of your mash bed to the controller. The controller will then compare this reading with the main temp probe reading at the base of the kettle and adjust element cycling based on these combined readings. Finally, the RAPT Controller WiFi connectivity allows you to update the controller’s firmware with a single click. Take advantage of new features and accessories as soon as they become available by simply keeping your BrewZilla connected to your local WiFi network. And again, the WiFi is already built-in! No need to come back for an expensive add-on accessory down the road. Concave Base with Center Draining Leave no wort behind! The concave base with center drain means you’ll be able to extract every last drop of wort to your fermenter. If you’ve brewed in a traditional flat bottom kettle, this center drain may be a bit perplexing at first. Many brewers are used to whirlpooling after the boil to pull hop matter into the center of the kettle, then transfer out using a pick-up tube that pulls from the kettle wall in order to avoid sucking up the solids. But fear not! One of the key features of the BrewZilla is the false bottom protection screen. This screen avoids the need for doing a whirlpool, filtering wort as it transfers and blocking more than 95% of hops and hot break from getting sucked into the pump. This not only prevents blocked pump issues, it also increases the efficiency of your brewhouse by eliminating kettle loss from wort that may have otherwise been left behind. Ultra Low Watt Density Elements The concave base on the BrewZilla also allowed for larger heating elements with significantly lower watt density than other breweries. When a lot of energy is coming off of a small element, the local temperature near the element can be so high that it scorches the wort and causes caramelization. Lower watt density essentially means you can produce lighter color beers that would otherwise have fallen victim to caramelization effect. It also reduces that chance of boilovers and reduces stress on the elements which extends their life expectancy. Heat Exchanger Dish The 100L BrewZilla comes standard with the Heat Exchanger Dish which redirects the flow of wort so that it spends more time exposed to the heating elements before reaching the center drain at the bottom of the kettle and being recirculated. Due to the concave bottom and central draining hole on the Gen 4 BrewZilla, recirculating wort will pass through the malt pipe and then down through the boiler false bottom following the path of least resistance. This can cause wort to make a B-line for the drainage hole and reduce the wort's exposure to the unit's heating elements. With the HED installed, wort will be directed to the edge of the BrewZilla base and pass over the elements for a longer period and reduce the time needed to heat to your set temperature. An optional accessory for the smaller units, but included as standard on the 100L BrewZilla. Easy Access Built-In Pump The built-in pump allows you to recirculate your wort during the mash for improved efficiency and more even temperature distribution. But it can also be used to transfer your wort from kettle to fermenter rather than relying on a gravity feed, and with the optional CIP Rotar, you can used the pump to clean your BrewZilla (or fermenter) after every use. During your brew day you’ll be able to control the pump from the RAPT Controller with a dedicated button for turning the pump on and off. Another feature you’ll find on the controller is adjusting the pump flow. This doesn’t control the actual volume of the flow (you can do that from the ball valve located on the recirculation arm), but rather cycles the pump on and off automatically based on your setting. At 100%, the pump remains on continuously. But at 80%, the pump will cycle to be on 80% of the time and off 20% of the time. This may not be a feature that every brewer thinks they need, but it’s an excellent way to avoid running the pump dry accidentally, as the time the pump is off allows recirculating wort to filter through the grain bed and back into the pump inlet. If you flip over the boiler, you’ll find the magnetic drive pump and all the plumbing is right at your fingertips. This means you don’t have to disassemble the base in order to access the pump for cleaning or maintenance if required. It also means the plumbing can be changed more easily too. For instance, the unit comes as standard with the plumbing from the pump feeding both the recirculation arm and the transfer valve, but you change this so the tap outlet bypasses the pump if you prefer. MoreBeer!'s Final Word We’ve been selling all-in-one brewing systems ever since they first hit the market, and we have to say that the Gen 4 BrewZilla is not only the most feature-packed unit ever made, it’s also offered at an incredibly competitive price point when compared to other systems. You’ll get all of the cutting edge Bluetooth technology you’d get with the Grainfather and at an exceptionally lower price tag. Plus, you get the WiFi capabilities as standard, rather than as a $100 add-on accessory. When it comes to mash recirculation, that’s yet another built-in feature on the BrewZilla, and the pump can also be used for transferring and CIP cleaning. The Foundry has a great starting price, but if you want to unlock its full potential, you’ll need to spend another $100 for the recirculation pump kit. What’s more, no other system in the same ‘weight class’ has the same grain capacity. And if the standard capacity isn’t quite enough, the BrewZilla can be easily upgraded with a Boiler Body Extension Kit and Extended Malt Pipe. When you purchase the BrewZilla, you can feel confident that you’re investing in a top shelf system and all of the critical features you’re expecting will be included. Wort Chiller for cooling We recommend either of the below counterflow chillers Copper Counterflow Chiller (WC130) BrewBuilt® Stainless Tri-Clamp Counterflow Chiller (WC140)   KegLand Part Number: KL32803 Please note: due to patent restrictions in the United States, the malt pipe has been redesigned with one set of bottom feet. This model does not include the "two stage" malt pipe as advertised by KegLand and featured in previous MoreBeer! YouTube videos. Please Note: When removing the malt pipe to drain after mashing, it is important to do so slowly rather than in one swift pull. If the malt pipe is removed all at once when it is full of wort, it is possible for the draining wort to spray out and over the rim of the brewery through the perforated bottom. Remove the malt pipe slowly so that some of the wort can drain out before it is fully removed and set on its bottom feet. This can be done by hand on the 35L unit, but for the 65L and 100L units we highly recommend using the Pulley System for removing the malt pipe. Warning: Do not engage the adjustable lid clamps when brewing with the BrewZilla's standard glass lid. The clamps are only intended to be used with distillation lids or other metal accessories. With too much tension, it is possible for the lid clamps to break the glass lid when engaged. Warning: If you are going to use an extension cord with the BrewZilla, you must ensure that the cord is the correct gauge and properly rated to suit the power requirements of your brewery. See the reference chart below for the recommended gauge based on your unit and the length of cord you wish to use.   35L (110V) 35L (220V) 65L (220V) 100L (220V) 10 ft. 14 Gauge 14 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 25 ft. 14 Gauge 14 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 50 ft. 12 Gauge 12 Gauge 10 Gauge 8 Gauge   RAPT Gen 4 BrewZilla | User Manual

Due to high demand, this item is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this to you when we receive more inventory.   The Gen 2 DigiBoil features two distinct updates that are not currently pictured in the primary images. The stainless steel lid has been upgraded to a glass lid, allowing you to observe and monitor boil activity. The rubber feet have been replaced with a plastic base that provides improved stability and slightly raises the unit for better ground clearance. Updated images coming soon. The most affordable all-in-one automated all-grain brewing system! Mash grains and boil wort in a single vessel External pump kit for recirculating mash will improve efficiency, consistency, and clarity DigiBoil electric kettle automatically maintains mash temperatures with the digital controller Triple heating elements combine for 3500W of power The DigiMash system represents the best value in electric all-grain brewing you'll find. With a 17-gallon DigiBoil electric kettle and the DigiMash stainless steel mashing accessory pack included, this is by far the most affordable way to get into electric all-grain brewing at the 10-gallon batch level. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the BrewZilla, but it does have everything you need to mash and boil all in one unit. With the Recirculation Pump Kit, you can recirculate sweet wort during the mash to improve starch conversion, maintain a consistent temperature throughout the mash, and improve the clarity. The pump can also be used to move water around your brewery if you use a secondary vessel to hold sparge water, or to transfer the wort from your kettle to your fermenter. With the optional Whirlpool Arm, you can also swap out the Recirculation Arm and use your pump kit to whirlpool after the boil. If you're deciding between the DigiMash and the BrewZilla, there are a couple of key differences worth noting. One of our favorite features of the BrewZilla is the programmable mash steps and delayed start, which the DigiMash does not have. You can still step mash by simply raising the temperature manually on the controller, but the automatic steps are a convenient feature if you want to set it and forget it. One advantage that this setup has over the BrewZilla is that the pump is external. This makes cleaning and fixing pump issues much easier, as you can quickly take apart the pump head to clean and clear out residual gunk at the end of each brew day. This model comes with the 65L DigiBoil, which has three built-in heating elements that run off a 220V plug. The elements are 2000w, 1000w and 500w for a combined 3500 watts! The elements can be individually controlled, allowing you to use a single element to gently hold temperatures, or engage all three elements to quickly go from steeping temp to boiling. Temperatures are set and automatically maintained through the digital control panel. Simply set your desired temperature and flip on the heating element(s). • Low stock! Tilt Pro Hydrometer and Thermometer - Black

Tilt® Pro Hydrometer and Thermometer - Black

New and improved with the professional brewer in mind, the Tilt Pro is the bigger, badder version of the original Tilt Hydrometer. With three times the volume and weight as the original unit, the Tilt Pro's larger size allows for more than double the batter life. With preinstalled Energizer® AA lithium batteries, the Pro will stay powered for up to 5 years depending on usage. So much time you may forget your Tilt actually runs on a battery! The extra size and weight come with an added bonus: improved specific gravity stability at high krausen, so you will see a steadier read-out on your iPhone, Android, or Raspberry Pi. In addition, Tilt Pro has boosted the range with a high-gain antenna that in testing increased range by 20% vs. the original Tilt. Now you can see your Tilt through thicker heads of foam and heavier stainless steel walls. To top it off they've included the extra decimal of precision available from the sensors and to the read-out so there are now decimal degrees Fahrenheit as well as higher resolution Celsius. Specific gravity now reads out to the 10,000th place (for example 1.0000). You can now see fermentation activity dropping less than a brewer's point per day. In all they've made several adjustments we believe the craft beer professional (and serious home brewer) is sure to appreciate. • DigiBoil Complete Still Kit (65L / 220V) - Copper Pot Still Condenser DigiBoil Complete Still Kit (65L / 220V) - Copper Pot Still Condenser

65L DigiBoil Still Kit with Copper Pot Still (220V)

Ready to dive into distilling, but unsure how to piece together your home still? Check out these complete systems that will set you on the path to producing high quality spirits. This kit comes with the 65L DigiBoil Electric Kettle and the Copper Pot Still Condenser. The Copper Pot Still is perfect when you want the flavor of the wash to come through, whereas a reflux still is more favorable for producing pure, unflavored spirits. If you want to make whiskeys and gins, this pot still top is a great way to start! The classic "V" shape captures the vital esters, aldehydes, and phenolic compounds that are necessary for the complex spirits such as whiskeys and gins. Made from solid copper. When your hot spirit comes into contact with the copper, the copper acts like a catalytic converter to drive sulfur out of the spirit. This leads to less off-flavors and higher quality spirit. Kit Includes: 65L DigiBoil (220V) Copper Pot Still w/ Barb Connections Distillation Lid w/ Gasket Warning: Distilling alcohol without permits or licensing is illegal in many countries, including the United States. It is the customer's responsibility to research their local, state, and federal laws and abide by those laws. MoreBeer! is not responsible for any damage or injury caused by either misuse or unlawful use. Stills can also be used to produce essential oils, vinegar, purified water and engine fuel (requires permit in USA). NOTE: Due to the size of this item, it is not eligible for international shipping.

BSP vs. BSPP BSP (or BSPT) fittings have a tapered thread and require teflon tape to form a seal between the male and female fitting. BSP fittings are generally intended to be used with their counterpart of the same thread type. ONLY 1/2" BSP fittings are compatible with US-standard NPT fittings of the same size. BSPP fittings, on the other hand, have a straight thread, require a gasket seated inside the female fitting to form a seal, and are not compatible with NPT. KegLand Part Number: KL06590

  • 50 Gallon BrewBuilt Kettle Gen 2 with 4 x T.C. Fittings 50 Gallon BrewBuilt Kettle Gen 2 with 4 x T.C. Fittings

    BrewBuilt® Brewing Kettle | 1.5" Tri-Clamp | Quad Port | 50 Gal.

Due to high demand, this item is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this item to you when we receive more in mid September.   This unique kettle with four tri-clamp ports was developed for the BrewBuilt electric kettle line as it requires two ports for two electric heating elements. The kettle is offered without fittings so you can rig it up with whatever accessories you see fit. Welded 1.5" tri-clamp ports for a lifetime of leak-free use 304 stainless steel construction with mirror polish finish Front and back located handles with silicone grips Induction burner compatible Notched lid provides cover while not interfering with immersion chillers, hop bags, or other accessories The BrewBuilt Pro Brewing Kettle is built for even more versatility than the standard T.C. kettle. A third and fourth tri-clamp port are offset from the front and ready to accept an electric heating element, whirlpool return valve, or any other accessory that you want to incorporate with the kettle. Handles are located at the front and back, rather than either side, saving you space when building out a horizontal system and will keep fittings pointed away from you regardless of which side you pick up the kettle from. Designed for Brewing. Built to Last. BrewBuilt brew kettles are made from 304 stainless steel and offer an unparalleled mix of features for the price. At the very top of the list are four welded-in place tri-clamp couplers that offer a lifetime of leak free use.  As you can imagine, welding in a coupler costs more than punching a hole and using a gasketed (i.e. weld-less) fitting. Welded fittings offer a permanent connection that to us is worth every penny.  The second unique feature that we absolutely love about these brew kettles is the notched lid with silicone plug.  This notch allows you so much flexibility; you can use an immersion chiller, one of our Ultimate Sparge Arms for mashing, tie off hop bags, take a temp reading during cooling, or whatever else we all can dream up.   Our T.C. kettles were designed to keep pace with the ever-evolving world of brewing technology. Tri-clamp fittings are standard fare in professional breweries, and they’ve been widely adopted in homebrewing as T.C. fermenters and pumps become more affordable and widely available. Tri-clamp fittings, also known as Tri-clover, allow you to make a sanitary connection that is free of nooks and crannies for contaminants to take hold. They are much easier to break down for cleaning compared to threaded connections, and they don’t require Teflon tape to make a watertight seal. T.C. fittings and accessories also give you the distinct advantage of being able to clean in place (CIP), so you don’t need to break down your entire system after every brew day.   This kettle comes without fittings so you can modify it with whatever tri-clamp accessories best suit your needs.   This Brew Kettle has a lot to offer... Some other features we dig include the internal volume markers from the bottom to the top - so handy for instant reads.  The silicone sleeved handles on the kettle and the lid are a cool feature to protect your hands. The tri-clad bottom with a 4mm core of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel offers even heat distribution during the boil and also makes it a perfect choice for anyone wanting to use an induction burner.  The bottom coupler is also cool with 1/2" male threads on the outside and 1/2'' female threads on the inside.     Beefy 304 Stainless These kettles are made from 304 grade stainless.  That means you will have less corrosion issues than with a kettle made from lower grade 201 type stainless. We put these kettles through a corrosive salt water test in the MoreBeer! shop and they passed with flying colors. We also made sure the rivets and riveted handles were also made of stainless steel for a long term, trouble free life.  The 10 and 15 gallon size are made from 1.0mm thick stainless steel. The 20, 30 and 50 gallon size are made with 1.2mm stainless - that's pretty thick stuff - and you will know it when you pick one up. The included ball valve is a two piece design that allows for easy cleaning (we prefer these over 3 piece for ease of assembly) and is also made from 304 stainless.    Mirror Polish Finish The mirror polish finish isn’t just for making your Instagram feed pop! This extra slick finish is much easier to clean and sanitize than a standard brushed stainless kettle. Hop trub and other organic solids left behind after a brew day will have a hard time clinging to the interior surface and scrub away with ease.   Size Ratios and Stuff All the BrewBuilt kettles follow the recent trend to a 1.2:1 ratio where the height is 1.2 times the diameter. This is a proven commercial ratio that has been adopted in homebrewing to achieve a more consistent 10% evaporation rate during the boil.  We do like this ratio for boiling. For Mashing we would prefer a little bit shallower but that is a small compromise. Dimensions for a hot-liquor tank, if you are thinking brewing system down the road, are irrelevant as any ratio kettle will do.     Final Words With welded tri-clamp fittings, mirror polish finish, a bunch of cool features, and a solid, thick 304 stainless steel core this kettle is a pretty amazing value. Remember, if you order from MoreBeer! we ship free anywhere in the continental USA!   Features: Four welded T.C. couplers for a lifetime of leak free use Notched lid with silicone plug for flexibility 304 Stainless construction for longevity 1.0mm (10 & 15 gal) or 1.2mm (20, 30 & 50 gal) thick side walls resist denting 4mm Tri-Clad Aluminum bottom sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel for no scorching Internally etched volume markers from top to bottom for easy reading Silicone coated handles for heat protection 1.2:1 Ratio is optimal for boiling evaporation rate Lid is designed to conveniently hang from a handle  Stainless handles with stainless rivets for secure lifting Kettle ID - 23.62" Height - 28.3"

  • WilliamsWarn - BrewKeg12.5 Litre WilliamsWarn - BrewKeg12.5 Litre

    WilliamsWarn BrewKeg12.5™ | Stainless Conical | Unitank Fermenter | 12.5L | 3.3G

    1 review

Ferment and serve from the same vessel—no need to transfer from fermenter to keg Low profile design fits inside a standard kegerator which can be used for fermentation temperature control Fermenting under pressure allows you to ferment with lager strains at higher temps while reducing esters Made from stainless steel with conical bottom Extra-large collection container for harvesting yeast or dumping sediment The #1 reason we love the BrewKeg Unitanks is that they eliminate kegging day, which saves a bunch of time. The Brewkeg12.5™ is perfect for a 3-gallon batch, and with the low profile, it still fits in a standard kegerator, which can be used for fermentation, as well as serving. When fermentation is done, crank down the temp, remove the yeast/trub collection ball and start immediately drinking because the beer is already carbonated. Since this is not the standard brewing process, stop and think that over - you don't need a separate night or hours on a weekend morning to clean and keg. You are going to save 2 or more hours with every batch! Plus, you are skipping the most oxidative step in brewing of going from your fermenter to your keg.  Yes, the one down side is that your fermenter is tied up as a keg but to many of us who really love brewing our own beer but are time challenged – the sacrifice is totally worth it.   Another great time saving feature is that you can skip wort cooling and 'hot pack' these kegs, literally filling them after boil at around 190°F. Stick them in your refrigerator, let them cool overnight, and pitch yeast the next day.  Hot packing is gaining a lot of traction and we suggest you google the term to learn more.  It’s been a standard practice in Australian homebrewing for years.    Okay, so there is not a lot out there about fermenting under pressure. We've been doing it for years now with a slew of pressurizable fermenters, including the BrewKeg, and if you want to make amazing lagers quickly you need to try it.  Fermenting under pressure reduces esters and even beers fermented between 65-80°F have amazing German lager malt profiles.  We once fermented a beer under pressure with WLP001 at room temp and all the tasters thought it was lager yeast.  The pressure relief assembly, in the center of the lid, is the slickest out there and adjusts from no pressure up to 25 psi. Leave it open for no pressure fermentations of ales and IPA's where you want the esters. Close it down to make amazing lagers under pressure, quickly. Features: Made from stainless steel Conical base Extra-large, easy to remove sediment ball 25 psi working pressure & built in relief valve 40 psi maximum pressure rating Ferments clean and clear beer from 64-82°F Beer is carbonated perfectly at the end of fermentation Beer ready to enjoy sooner Compact design fits in most kegerators Eliminates kegging Easy to clean and sanitize Dimensions: Height: 25.9 in. Diameter: 9.25 in. Actual Volume: 15.1L (4.0 gal)

  • Tri-Clamp Pump Head Upgrade Kit for 25W MKII Pump - Inline Threaded Ports Tri-Clamp Pump Head Upgrade Kit for 25W MKII Pump - Inline Threaded Ports

KegLand T.C. Breakdown Brewing Pump Head | MKII Pump Head Upgrade Kit | Stainless Steel | 3" Tri-Clamp x 1/2" Threaded Ports

Upgrade your MKII Magnetic Drive Pump with a stainless steel pump head that quickly & easily installs via 3" tri-clamp T.C. connection allows the pump head to be oriented at any angle in a full 360-degrees Pull ring PRV at the pump outlet makes it easy to purge air and prime the pump before each use Inline flow path for smooth integration into your brewery while keeping your tubing lines tidy Stainless steel head with 1/2" threaded ports to attach your preferred fittings—tri-clamp, quick disconnect, camlock, and More! Upgrade your MKII Magnetic Drive Pump with a stainless steel inline pump head! The TC Breakdown Brewing Pump Head provides several advantages over the standard MKII pump head, first and foremost being it's made of stainless steel instead of plastic. This allows for much easier installment of fittings without the risk of breaking off the plastic inlet or outlet. It will also convert the pump head from "Center Inlet" to "Inline" flow path which can make it much easier to integrate into your brewery and keep your brewing hoses tidy. At the outlet of the pump, there is a very handy pull ring PRV that allows you to bleed liquor or wort from the pump head to release trapped air and prime the pump. But what some MKII users might find most exciting about this upgrade kit is that it converts the pump head connection to 3" tri-clamp! Not only do you have a full 360-degrees to orient the pump head any which way, cleaning the pump after use has never been easier—just pop off the tri-clamp, wash out the pump head, and clamp back on. This upgrade kit is only compatible with the 25-Watt MKII pump (PMP50). It will not fit the larger 65-Watt MKII or the Blichmann Engineering RipTide pump. If you don't already own the 25-Watt MKII, you can purchase it with the T.C. pump head already installed here. Tri-Clamp Pump Head The T.C. pump head can be removed quickly and easily using the 3" tri-clamp. This means no drivers or power drills are needed to back out the six Phillips head screws that mount the pump head on the standard version of the MKII. Whip the head off in a flash to clear out spent grain, hop material, or clear a blockage. Attaching the pump head with a tri-clamp also allows the head to be rotated at any angle in a full 360-degrees. This makes it easy to configure the plumbing to your unique brewery setup. Inline Design An "inline" pump head simply means the input and output are on a straight horizontal line with one another which can make it easier to integrate into your brewery setup. If you're using a 3-vessel horizontal system, the inline pump head will make it easier to keep your hoses neat and tidy compared to pumps heads with a center inlet. PRV Purge Valve The corny keg style PRV will make priming the pump a breeze. Simply let bleed the pump head to purge air out before turning the pump on and you'll avoid any cavitation issues. The PRV also acts as a safety so you do not over pressurize your pump head or brewery system. 304 Stainless Steel The entire pump head is made from 304 grade stainless steel so it's highly resistant to chemicals, heat, and physical abuse. The 1/2" BSP threaded ports can be used to attach barbs, quick disconnects, camlocks, tri-clamp adapters, or any other 1/2" fittings you prefer. KegLand Part Number: KL27267

Please note that all pad filters are rated 'nominal', meaning that about 90-95% of all particulate matter at the micron rating will be filtered out. There will always be a little bit of smaller material that is also filtered out, as well as some larger material that will make it through. The filters can be sterilized by in-line steam, auto-claving, dry heat, hot water or chemical methods. We choose to run Saniclean solution through the pads followed by sterile water or a small amount of beverage that is then discarded. After the solution is run through the pads, and the pads have softened, the filter will need to be re-tightened. Beer Brewing Equipment Collection Article +

Home Brewing Beer Making beer at home is easy, rewarding and can lead to some amazing friendships & interactions. Like most people I started brewing at home with beer brewing kit from MoreBeer! The kit came with everything I needed to brew a batch of beer at home. Typical of most homebrewing starter kits, the equipment and beer recipe ingredients where for extract brewing. I know a lot of people that just dived right into all-grain brewing and there is nothing wrong with that approach. For myself and what I recommend to others as well is starting with extract brewing. It allows you to focus on a few steps in the brewing process as you are essentially starting from the boil. I think the old saying crawl, walk, run applies beautifully to learning to brew and most anything in life. By starting with extract you can focus on, in my opinion the two most important things in brewing; cleaning / sanitation and fermentation. Not to say can’t jump into all grain brewing and give these topics the respect they deserve. It’s just a lot easier to focus on and learn a few things at a time. After all you don’t eat an entire pizza at once, you have one slice at a time. Once you have brewed a few batches of extract beer a good natural progression is to try what they call a mini-mash. This essentially allows you get some of your sugars from mashing grains but still back it up with liquid or dried malt extract. Aside from allowing you to learn the brewing process in steps, it also allows you to upgrade your brewing system over time. Purchasing a complete all grain system can be expensive and if you’re just starting a new hobby it’s nice to spend as you go. However with systems like the RoboBrew/BrewZilla, getting started with all-grain brewing has never been more affordable and accessible.  When I started brewing these type of systems were not available though. Either way, most extract brewers move to all-grain brewing; as it allows you to take complete control over your beer recipe and intern the finished beer your making. Another topic worth mentioning is the social aspect of beer & brewing. We all know beer is a social drink, heck this country “The United States” was founded in pubs by revolutionary individuals. Sure it’s fun to sit back and enjoy a pint of a beer you made. But it’s even funnier to share a pint with friends and family. That leads to another great way to learn and improve your brewing, joining a homebrew club! For the first few years of my brewing career I brewed alone and only shared by creations with family and friends. It wasn’t until I was selling some homebrew equipment on the internet that I was directed towards joining a homebrew club. The person purchasing equipment from me asked if I was aware of the local homebrew club. It really never crossed my mind to seek out or join a club, but let me tell you; it was one of the best recommendations and things I could have ever done. Not only do you meet and network with likeminded brewers like yourself; the friendships that have come from the club have not only enriched my life it has my family as well. I know being social may not be for everyone, but meeting and speaking with other brewers is a great way to get More! out of an already amazing hobby! Regardless of your brewing path, be it extract or all grain or alone or with others; always remember to keep learning and have fun brewing, cheers!

BEER Collection Article +

What is Beer? Beer is a delicious alcoholic drink that is made by yeast, fermenting a malt sugar & water mixture that is typically flavored with hops. It has been brewed since the dawn of civilization, in fact, it’s even been credited for saving the world by some scientists and historians. The earliest evidence of beer production dates back to about 3500 BC. However, there is speculation that it was being produced as far back as 10,000 BC when humans first started farming malts. The ancient Sumerian text "The Hymn to Ninkasi" is a prayer but could also be considered the earliest written beer recipe. For thousands of years fermented malt beverages were being consumed by numerous civilizations, but none of them really resembled what we know as Beer today.  It wasn’t until 1516 AD in Bavaria when the Reinheitsgebot (Beer purity law) was adopted that it started to look, smell and taste like the alcoholic drink we all know and love today. The Reinheitsgebot is actually credited as the oldest food-quality regulation in history and is still in use to this day. It states that the only allowed ingredients in Beer are water, hops and malted barley.  Today, Beer is the third most popular drink in the world with only water and tea in front of it. Cheers to a long history, a bright future and another round of our favorite drink, BEER! Types of Beer One of the reasons it's is so popular is that there is literally something for everyone. Beer styles can range from sweet to bitter or even sour and everything in between. Beer is commonly categorized into two varieties: Ales and Lagers . An Ale is produced with a top fermenting yeast called Saccharomyces cerevisiae. This strain of yeast typically clumps together and rises towards the top of the fermenter. The recommended fermentation temperature range for ale yeast is between 15–25°C (59–77°F). Ale yeast is known for its higher ester production that is commonly described as “Fruity” and comes across as apple, pear, pineapple, etc. A Lager is cool fermented and produced with a bottom fermenting yeast called Saccharomyces pastorianus. This strain is typically fermented around 7–12°C (45–54°F) and then aged at even cooler temps for several weeks or up to several months. The original German word lager means “storehouse” representing this cold storage step, but now the term is synonymous with a beer style and not the literal interpretation. Less popular than the two previous styles, but none less delicious, is the Lambic styles of Belgium , also called “Wild” or “Mixed Fermentation” in regions outside of Belgium. These styles are fermented with a Saccharomyces strain of yeast as well as Bretttanomyces and Lactobacillus bacteria. This use of bacteria gives them a sour or “funky” taste. These three high level classifications are only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to beer styles. In fact, there is an organization called the BJCP ( Beer Judge Certification Program ) that was founded in 1985 to encourage the knowledge and understanding of the world’s diverse styles. As of their last published style guidelines, there are 34 top level styles with over 100 substyles categorized. And with how popular craft beer has become lately, this list of recognized styles will only continue to grow. Making your own Beer If you found this page and read your way down to this section you obviously love and enjoy beer. In our experience one of the most enjoyable beer is the one you made yourself. Not only is it very rewarding and enjoyable it’s super easy to get started making your own beer at home . You can start with just a few pieces of brewing starter equipment and make amazing beer. Just as types can be boiled down (pun intended) to two high level classifications, so can brewing beer. These types are called Extract Brewing and All Grain Brewing . Extract brewing is what most home brewers start with due to it requiring less equipment and fewer process steps overall. With extract brewing you primarily just need a boil kettle and a fermenter . A majority of the malt sugars you will be fermenting come from an “Extract ”, LME ( Liquid Malt Extract ) or DME ( Dried Malt Extract ) hence the name. With all grain brewing you need a few more pieces of equipment as you will be creating your own malt sugars from scratch using crushed malted grains. In most traditional all grain brewing systems you have three vessels, a HLT (Hot Liquor Tank), MT (Mash Tun) , BK (Boil Kettle) and a Fermenter. There is also a hybrid approach called BIAB (Brew In A Bag) that allows you to perform an all-grain brew in a single vessel. With extract brewing, a typical brew day takes about 2-3 hours from start to finish, whereas all grain brewing typically takes about 4-6 hours. Both types of brewing can create amazing results and have different advantages to them. To learn More! about brewing in general click the Brewing button below.
