If you're hearing ghostly tales whispered around your local homebrew shop, there's no need to pile your brew crew into the hippy van—this one is no mystery. Phantasm Powder has been causing quite a stir on the craft beer scene, and the buzz is well deserved. Adding this powder to your wort and fermenting it with a thiolized yeast strain is one of the easiest ways to boost tropical flavor and aroma in your finished beer. Derived from Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Grapes, this powder will add a concentrated dose of thiol precursors. During fermentation, yeast will go to work on these aroma compounds and "free the thiol", boosting the tropical bouquet of your beer to supernatural levels. We're stoked to get this cutting-edge ingredient into the hands of homebrewers so we designed a series of Phantasm recipe kits that will set you up to take full advantage of brewing with Phantasm Powder.
Our Phantasm Hazy Double IPA includes 10 ounces of aroma hop additions from whirlpool to biotransformation to post fermentation, leaning on some choice New Zealand and American varietals and turns it up a notch with two additions of Cryo Hops® for an extra concentrated kick of hoppy goodness. Since this kit series is all about the thiols, we start with whole cone Mosaic in the mash to further increase the thiol precursors. Add the Phantasm Powder at flameout along with your whirlpool / hop stand additions. For maximum effect, we highly recommend choosing a thiolized yeast strain for fermentation which are specifically designed to boost thiol biotransformation.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Take Your Beers Tropical Bouquet to The Next Level 50-200x Boost in Thiols When Used with Thiolized Yeast Strain Contains Thiol Precursors Derived From Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Grapes Maximize Flavor and Aroma with Cutting Edge Brewing Technology Phantasm helps you unlock unreal natural flavors in your fermentation. Derived from the legendary Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc Grapes, Phantasm is a Thiol precursor powder that in the right fermentation conditions will unlock large amounts of free thiols like 3SH bringing tropical, passionfruit aromas to your beer. Thiols pair exceptionally well with Esters and Terpenes and can bring depth and complexity to a range of styles including IPA, Lagers and Mixed Fermentation. For best results, add Phantasm during the whirlpool at rates of 1 – 2 lbs per bbl (1 – 2.5 oz per 5-gallon batch) and ferment with a thiolized yeast strain. Phantasm will bring a touch of fermentables to your beer, around 0.3°P (1.0012 SG) alongside a slight pH drop. In discussion with the creator of Phantasm Jos Ruffell, we talked about the dosage rates varying. The market had a dosage rate recommendation of 2.5oz per 5 gallons. Especially when using the latest thiol boosting yeasts from Omega you don't specifically need 2.5oz as even 1 oz is going to provide a significant thiol boost. So we packaged it down in 1oz increments so that you can decide exactly how much you want to put in. For us here at MoreBeer! 1 oz provides a nice boost and is a reasonable cost per batch. If you want to go extreme feel free to add more. 1.7-2.0 °L - Viking Malt - Pils is a traditional European Pilsner malt with a delicate malt sweetness that gives your lagers that extra something special. Viking Pils is the perfect base for all lagers and essential for Pilsners, Helles, Marzen, Bock, Vienna Lager, etc. When your making light lagers most brewers want the pils base malt to provide a bit of maltiness. It can be the difference between boring beer and amazing beer. We have gotten great feedback from pro brewers and many have switched to Viking after trying it. We also have several craft breweries using this malt for the commercial production of light colored Pales, IPA's, and Hazys. When compared to our Viking Xtra Pale the flavor of the Pils malt is just a bit lighter. Some brewers love this for their really light colored ales that are bursting with hop flavors. Viking Malt is one of the largest malting companies in the world and the largest roaster of specialty malts. They are the main malt supplier to the famous Carlsberg brewery. Viking is not well known in the USA because they haven't had good US distribution. Because MoreBeer! and MoreBeer! Add for color correction, boost gravity, or improve head retention in all grain brewing

A great price on a cleaned, de-labelled and sanitized used pin lock keg. These kegs are pressure tested, so they are guaranteed to hold pressure when they arrive to you. You can purchase the rebuild kit and replace the gaskets yourself (very easy job) and save some money. To totally rebuild the keg you should also consider a new relief valve and poppets (part number listed below). Kegs are sold "as is" and may have cosmetic defects.
The body connnects on a keg are the metal posts where the quick disconnects attach too. They should be removed for cleaning and sanitizing before each use. Kegs can come with either 11/16" body connects or 7/8" body connects. We sell deep sockets for the removal of either one.
Kegs are approximately 9" Diam. x 22.25" Height. 25.25" Height with fittings. Measurements may vary slightly.
A good brewer knows the importance of having the right tool for the job. They also know the importance of being able to disassemble their kegs for cleaning and rebuilding. This handy socket is a must-have if you own pin lock style kegs, so that you can easily remove gas and beverage body connects. 3/8" drive.

If you're looking to treat your taste buds to a beer that we think has been hopped perfectly, we highly recommend the Ugly Fish IPA!

If you're installing a stainless thermowell or Temp Twister Cooling Coil on your FermZilla, this pipe cutter will help make the process painless.
This easy to use pipe cutter makes cutting copper, stainless steel, or aluminum tubing an absolute breeze. Easy to use and compact so it can get into tight corners and gives you a clean pipe cut. Simply hand tighten the pipe cutter onto the mark where you want to cut the pipe. Rotate the cutter around the pipe a couple of times to create a groove all around the pipe, and then each time you rotate the cutter, tighten the blade a little. Each rotation will cut a little deeper into the pipe and the cut will be straight.
Suitable for 1/8"-3/16" pipe (3-22 mm)
Cuts copper, brass, aluminum, steel, and stainless steel
Heavy-duty one-piece slide
Polished roller for easy rotation
Hardened steel cutting blade

Safety Bulb pipette filler for use with solutions that should not be mouth pipetted. In general, it is best to use the filler with anything that is not a wine sample. To Use: Squeeze filler and place on top of the pipette. Place the pipette in the solution, allowing the bulb to re-expand, drawing liquid into the pipette. Draw liquid up past the point in the pipette that you would like it filled to. Now, being careful not to draw up excess liquid or squeeze out what you have in the pipette, quickly remove the squeeze bulb and place your index finger tightly over the top of the pipette. Now by gently lifting your finger, you can allow the liquid to run out to the level that you're looking for.**Tip:** Be careful not to draw your liquid up into the filler. Many chemicals that are used around the lab can degrade the filler and cause poor sealing, making the filler harder to use. A great way to get a feel for the tool is to practice for a little while with some water, until you can easily remove the filler and seal the pipette with your finger.

A blend of Italian and European wheat varieties hand-selected for their high protein and gluten content to yield pizza crust with a chewy texture and hearty bite. Caputo 00 Americana is recommended for making thin crust New York style pizza. Not recommended for use with the HIZO Pizza Oven which is designed to get very hot (+900°F). We recommend using Caputo 00 Blue which is perfect for making Neapolitan style pizza dough that won't burn as quickly at high heat. Regardless of what style pizza you're making, we recommend using Fine Rice Flour as "pizza slide" to prevent your pizza from sticking to your pizza stone or other baking surface. Example image is of bulk sack. Updated images coming soon.
Made from top-quality soft wheat flour that is additive free and all-natural, Caputo 00 Blue has an extremely fine texture that produces a very soft, flavorful thin crust. Recommended for making traditional Neapolitan style pizza. The HIZO G14 Pizza Oven is perfect for making Neapolitan style pizza due to its high heat capacity. Regardless of what style pizza you're making, we recommend using Fine Rice Flour as "pizza slide" to prevent your pizza from sticking to your pizza stone or other baking surface. Example image is of bulk sack. Updated images coming soon.
High-gluten flour carefully milled from hard red spring wheat and has 14.2% protein. Sir Lancelot flour produces an extra-chewy pizza crust recommended for making the thicker style Detroit style pizzas. The flour can also be used to make more traditional thinner style crusts. When the dough is prepared for making traditional Detroit Pizzas the heat should be turned down when using the HIZO Pizza Oven (which can get up to 900°F). For traditional thinner crust pizzas in the Hizo, we recommend using Caputo 00 Blue which is perfect for making Neapolitan style pizza dough that won't burn as quickly at high heat. Regardless of what style pizza you're making, we recommend using Fine Rice Flour as "pizza slide" to prevent your pizza from sticking to your pizza stone or other baking surface.
