The ridiculously high oil content (2.5-4 ml/100g!) and desirable aromatics have lead breweries of all sizes to flock to this hop. Great for all beer styles but definitely featured in IPAs and other hop forward beers. Ekuanot® is described as having aromas of melon, berry, orange peel, lime, papaya, pine and fresh peppers. Nelson Sauvin™ Quantum Brite
Named for the Sauvignon Blanc grape, this triploid hop from New Zealand is sophisticated and tropical. Fruity and wine-like, Nelson Sauvin™ adds dimension to any brew with succulent notes of lychee, passionfruit, and citrus.
Optimized Hop Extracts
Compared to other hop-extracts, the Quantum Series tastes better, performs better, and is easier to use. It works with everything from Pils to Porters with no special handling required. Easily flowable at cool, ambient, and warm temperatures. Gone are the days of warming up your extract or scrubbing the sticky gunk out of your equipment.
Compared to hops and pellets, the Quantum Series offers a 100% utilization rate and can be used at any stage of the brewing process. It cuts down on shipping and storage costs by an order of magnitude, not to mention the labor savings from not having to lug boxes around.
Quantum Tastes Better
The Quantum Series is an evolutionary leap forward in aroma and brewing technology. When you get down to it, nobody wants to use an extract product that makes their beer taste worse off. Extracts have taken a bad rap because they can often add more problems than they solve and, frankly, they don’t always taste the greatest. Abstrax gets it. That’s why, above all else, flavor and aroma come first with Quantum.
Dosage
Consider 1mL of Quantum Brite the flavor/aroma equivalent of 1 oz of T-90 pellet hops. Add after fermentation is complete, ideally at the coldest and latest point in your process, in your fermenter, keg, or bottling bucket. Or even add a drop or two to spike your finished beer in the glass.
Features:
100% efficient flavor/aroma transfer
Consistent from batch to batch
No yield loss from absorption
Quantum will not affect IBU test results and cannot cause lightstruck off-flavors
Zero Undesirable Plant Compounds
No Lipids
No Chlorophyll
Recommended storage: 40-90°F. Do not freeze.

A very clean aroma hop that produces a mild, floral and spicy aroma. Due to it being mild and clean, this hop variety can be used in a variety of beer styles, including: Lagers, Kolsch, ESB, Pilsners, Pale Ales, IPAs, and Belgian Ales.
Rhizomes should be planted immediately for best results. If your area is still experiencing frost then you can plant them in a planter indoors until it is safe to transplant outside. The first years crop will generally be smaller than subsequent years. Since these are live plants, we cannot guarantee they will grow, so we recommend buying two of each type to help ensure their success.
Shipping Restrictions:
Due to agricultural restrictions, we can only ship rhizomes to addresses that are in the United States, excepting Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and the counties of Bonner and Kootenai in Idaho. Unfortunately, we cannot ship these to international locations including APO/FPO addresses.

NY Cascade 023™ is a powerhouse of flavors for thiolized beers thanks to the special terroir of New York State With a higher bound thiol precursor count than typical Cascade, 023™ has huge flavor and aroma potential when used in tandem with a thiolized yeast strain Highly recommended for Mash Hopping. Maximize flavor and aromas while minimizing bitterness When used with thiolized yeast, flavors are noted to be tropical, red berry, and melon When not used with thiolized yeast, flavors are noted to be citrus, tropical, and floral What is NY Cascade 023™? Through research and development, the New York Hop Guild has discovered that our New York grown Cascade has a higher amount of bound precursor thiols than other hop thiol products on the market. Initially we thought this may have been a one-time occurrence, but through extensive testing we have discovered that the abundance of bound thiols is unique to the terroir of New York State! With up to three times more 3MH Precursors (Passionfruit/Grapefruit/Guava) than PNW Cascade, our 023™ branded Cascade is a powerhouse of flavors for thiolized beers. We highly recommend utilizing these TRUE90™ pellets in the mash with a thiolized yeast like Cosmic Punch® or Star Party™ from Omega Yeast. What are Bound Thiols? Bound thiols are a precursor compound that consists of a thiol (a class of aromatic compound) bound to glutathione, cysteine, and dipeptide intermediates. The bound thiol content normally consists of a higher concentration of bound 3SH/3MH (Passionfruit/Grapefruit/Guava), than found in the free thiol content of many varieties of hops. How Do You Unlock Bound Thiols? Unlocking bound thiols requires a two-step process: Mash Hopping!!! Everyone’s favorite blast from the past is back in style! Mash hopping employs an enzymatic process that breaks down glutathione bound thiols into cysteine bound thiols. Utilizing a Thiolized Yeast! By Breaking down these precursors into cysteine bound thiols, this enables yeasts with IRC7 and PatB Enzymes to break down the bonds with cysteine, setting the thiols free and unlocking Cascade 023™’s immense amount of flavor! What’re the Benefits? By unleashing the power of bound thiols, our Cascade 023™ can give you a similar punch of flavor to that of propriety varieties with elevated free thiol content. With the Mash Hopping technique you can dramatically increase your yield by minimizing hop additions in the Kettle and Whirlpool. Cascade 023™’s enhanced bound thiol content allows you to maximize flavor and aromas while minimizing bitterness in your product. Recommended Usage Rates? We recommend as little as 0.50 lbs/bbl up to 2.5 lbs/bbl in the mash, though most brewers agree that 0.75-1.0 lbs/bbl is an excellent sweet spot! For homebrewers, that's roughly 0.25 oz/gallon up to 1.25 oz/gallon, with 0.4-0.5 oz/gallon being the sweet spot. When calculating bitterness during the mash hopping, a good general guideline is about 30% of calculated IBUs from an equivalent by weight 60-minute kettle addition. Cryo Hop® Hop Pellets
Higher AA and nearly twice the resin content of traditional T-90 hop pellets
Increase yield by reducing vegetal matter in your brewhouse and fermenter
Cryo Hops® provide brewers with the ability to get gigantic hop character while reducing astringent and unpleasant vegetal flavors. With a substantially higher oil and resin content, LupuLN2 powder offers up all the flavor and aroma of a heavily hopped beer, but with a significanly reduced grassy character. Additionally, the lower dosage rate of the concentrated powder reduces the volume of trub and therefore, kettle loss. Using Cryo Hops® you will net more beer that is clearer!
Typical usage of Cryo Hops® would be roughly 50% of pellets. LupuLN2 powder can be used in any application where traditional hop products are utilized, including: Bittering, Kettle, Whirlpool and even direct to the fermentor. It is suggested that you use Cryo Hops® as late additions, in the whirlpool or dry hop, as the volatile aromatic compounds will be driven off if added early in the boil.
Cryo Hops® are an innovative hop product that is made by separating the lupulin from the hop flower using cryogenic processing. The result is a product with twice the potency of T90 pellets, with reduced astringency and vegetative material.
Note: These hops come pelletized. The powder is compressed into pellet form to make handling easier.

Distilled hop oil is an amazing new product we are making available to homebrewers. Distilled hop oil varies from other oils in that it is produced from fresh hops, as opposed to dried and processed pellets. Distilled hop oil delivers the same wet hop character that was previously only possible to acquire with the use of freshly harvested hops. The oil is extremely shelf stable, so you can now brew a consistant fresh hop IPA all year long. Extremely volatile, this oil should only be used for aromatic applications; typically applied at bottling/kegging.
Distilled hop oil is very potent; add to taste. We recommend using roughly 0.5-1 ml per 5 gallon batch, if replacing 50-100% of a dry hop, added directly to the beer prior to bottling or during kegging. Be careful to not push off the volatile aromatic compounds (disturb the beer as little as possible and reduce oxygen exposure). Most staff members here found that 1ml per 5 gallons was "too hoppy" when replacing 100% of the dry hop. Hop heads (myself included), found that the 1 ml per 5 gallon dosage gave a pungent, fresh, pleasurable and unique hop experience. Tasting these oils is as close to being in Yakima for hop harvest as possible!
The Artisan Hops® Hop Shot is an easy way to boost IBUs without adding vegetal matter to your beer. This CO2 hop extract is a blend of Cascade and Willamette hops, which will impart a slight citrus, fruity character to your beer. 1 mL boiled in 5 gallons of 1.050 wort for 60 minutes will add approximately 7 IBUs.
Add to boiling wort only. We recommend softening the extract before use. Place the syringe in a warm glass of water at the beginning of your brew day, or create a slurry by adding the extract directly to a small amount of pre-boiled water.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Whole cone hops are often preferred for dry hopping as they maintain contact while floating in the beer and are easier to remove
Adding whole cone hops directly to the mash tun is a great way to add flavor and help clarify wort
Amarillo® hops have become super popular with microbrewers. Brewers are describing the flavor and aroma as a supercharged version of Cascade. Floral, tropical, and citrus (lemon, orange and grapefruit) characteristics. However, it has a distinctive orange character to it that is very different from Cascade. Supply has been very limited the last few years so make sure to buy some while it is available.
Whole cone hops are typically the preferred format for dry hopping as they maintain contact with the beer by floating, they are easier to remove than pellets and they add a unique character to the beer. Adding whole cone hops directly to the mash tun is also a great way to add flavor and clarify your wort.

US-05 produces clean and crispy ales with a well-balanced, neutral character
Stays in suspension during fermentation for great attenuation
Highly recommended for American ales and highly hopped beers
Fermentis active dry yeast offers reliability, ease-of-use, and consistency to home and professional beverage makers across the world
Formally US-56, US-05 is a strain of yeast that creates that classic American profile of clean malt, crisp taste, low diacetyl, and ability to ferment in a wide range of temps. Look for US-05 to be the next popular dried yeast.
This yeast can be pitched directly, but if you prefer to rehydrate, the instructions are below.
Sprinkle the yeast in a minimum of 10 times its weight of sterile water or wort (we suggest 4 oz) at 70°F to 77°F (21 to 25 °C). Do not stir. Leave to rest 15 to 30 minutes. Gently stir for 30 minutes, and pitch the resultant cream into the fermentation vessel.
Attenuation: 78-82%
Sedimentation Time: Medium
Alcohol Tolerance: 9-11% ABV
Optimum Fermentation Temp: 64-78°F

Brought to us by Nate Smith, this IPA truly is a hop bomb! With almost 10oz. of hops in a 5 gallon batch, this is one that hop-heads definitely need to try. Falconer's Flight, Citra®, Magnum, Columbus and Centennial all play a role in the clean bitterness and amazing hop aroma and flavor that you get out of this IPA. Nate is a participant in the Brewing Network's Sunday Session podcast, an active member of D.O.Z.E. (Diablo Order of Zymiracle Enthusiasts) Homebrew Club, and has been homebrewing for over 14 years. Needless to say, Nate's familiar with the scene!
Nate's Recommendations on the Citrus Bomb IPA:
Use WLP001 (with a starter) or WY1056 yeast. Plan on an 18-20 day fermentation: 10 Days at 65F, then raise to 68F on the 10th. Add your dry hops 5 days later, and rack 3-5 days after that. *NOTE* Fining with biofine is recommended!

Proper mash pH is critical to brewing performance and finished beer quality. CellarScience Instant Water™ formulations are designed to place mash pH into the optimal range for each beer style.
Improves brewhouse efficiency by supporting optimal enzyme activity during starch conversion
Shapes hop flavor and balance by influencing bitterness, smoothness, and aroma expression
Enhances clarity and stability through improved protein coagulation and yeast performance
With properly conditioned water, you’ll unlock better fermentation, enhanced enzyme activity, and a cleaner, more expressive finish that allows your beer’s true character to shine.
Designed to work with: Reverse osmosis (RO), deionized (DI), or distilled water
Each pack treats: 6 gallons (23 L) of brewing water
For larger batches, add an additional 2 g per gallon
Instructions
Use only with reverse osmosis (RO), deionized (DI), or distilled water.
Add the full contents of this pack to 6 gallons (23 L) of brewing water before mashing. Stir until dissolved.
Mash in as usual — no additional acid or salt adjustments are typically required.
Proceed with your normal brewing process.
Note: These salts are designed to set mash pH without acid additions. Because malt acidity varies, you may wish to verify your mash pH and make small corrections if needed, though this is rarely necessary. Dextrose is used in trace amounts as a processing aid for blend consistency and flow and does not affect fermentation or flavor.

Altus is an exemplary dual-purpose hop with high alpha acids for bittering and wonderful aromatics thanks to its high oil content. Originally developed by crossing Apollo and Wye Target. Altus is a great option whether you need a hop for bittering, late boil, whirlpool, or dry hopping.

Typical Hop Statistics:

Beta Acids: 5.5 – 7.5%

At just under 5%, we like to think of this beer as a hop lover's dream. A truly sessionable IPA overflowing with hop character
Includes Warrior®, Centennial, and Simcoe® hops
Estimated ABV: 5%
Estimated IBUs: 58-62
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
If you're looking for a new session IPA to obsess over, look no further! We recently changed this recipe slightly, making all finishing hops Centennial (rather than a blend between Centennial and HBC-342). We made sure to keep the Simcoe® dry hop though, as we felt this really brought a "pop" to the aroma!
While the general rule of thumb has been "one or two IPAs and you're feeling it", at just under 5%, we like to think of this beer as a hop lovers dream. The type of IPA that you can open up at noon, get the grill going, and forget worrying about how you're going to feel after drinking 8% IPAs for a few hours! (Yes, we know that feeling too...)
A half pound of corn sugar helps this one finish out nice and dry, while a small amount of acidulated malt will help make those hops pop. The clean bitterness of Warrior® balances perfectly with a slightly sweet malt profile, all topped off with a white, frothy head thanks to the wheat malt.
So what are you waiting for?! Order your kit today and let the obsession begin!
