Everything you need to get right down to business with the MaltZilla Motorized Grain Mill! This complete kit includes the MaltZilla Grian Mill, Aluminum Hopper, PPE Base Board, and 110V Power Supply.
KegLand put an exceptional amount of time into the research, testing, and development of the MaltZilla, and what they came up with is a motorized grain mill unlike anything we've seen before. It features an integrated motor so you'll never have to mess with a hand crank or power drill to spin the rollers. And the rollers themselves are made with a diamond-impregnated surface that offers superior performance and longevity compared to conventional knurled steel rollers.
The integrated 24V motor is powerful enough to chew through popping corn kernels with ease, and works on voltages from 12-30V DC. The higher the voltage the faster the rollers spin, although we recommend 24V for optimum speed and grist results. The included power supply is straight forward, and allows you to plug the unit into a standard 110V power socket.
Knurled Steel vs. Diamond Coated Rollers
Your run-of-the-mill grain mills are often manufactured with steel rollers with a knurled finish. The knurling helps grip and pull the grain through the rollers, but even the knurling on hardened steel will go blunt eventually and hinder the mill's performance. Some manufacturers attempt to solve this problem by using geared rollers to better grab the grain, or add a third roller to the mill so the first two rollers with a larger gap force the grain into the third roller. These are only workarounds to the real issue—all steel rollers will go blunt eventually, especially if used with hard grains like wheat or corn. In a commercial setting, it’s not uncommon to send the rollers off to a metalworking factory to re-sharpen and re-knurl, but this is an expensive, time-consuming hassle. Many homebrew-scale users might just end up throwing the mill away and purchasing a new one.
The MaltZilla Diamond Mill is quite a different mill design, and it’s the first in the world to use diamonds impregnated into the surface of the roller. Even after many tons of grain are processed through the mill, the diamond surface will stay just as sharp as it was on day one. The sharpness of the diamonds draws grain exceptionally well, and even when hard grains are used the diamond rollers won't dull or slip in performance.
Sheer Instead of Chop
Most mills require aggressive knurling to push into the grain and “chop” the grain as it passes through a tight gap, which means your grains are often chopped in half. The MaltZilla works on a different principle and gap setting is not as critical. The MaltZilla uses impregnated diamonds to grip the surface of the kernel and the friction of pulling the grain through the gap causes a sheering action. When set up correctly, the sheering action can leave the entire husk intact, reducing the chance of stuck sparge and improve efficiency, while still opening the husk enough that the entire contents of the kernel is available to the mashing process. The 70 mm diameter rollers are double the diameter of many other mills, which significantly improves the crush and assists in drawing the grain in more effectively.
Integrated Motor
You generally would not purchase a car without an engine, so why would you purchase a grain mill without a motor? Milling grain has an optimum RPM— too slow and it will take you a long time, too fast and you will end up with excessive powder. Hand cranking can be a pain in the backside, especially with larger grain bills, and using a power drill doesn't offer much in the way of speed control and adds the potential risk of burning out your drill. The MaltZilla has an integrated motor with a very constant RPM putting out optimum RPM with an integrated gearbox. The high torque and sealed construction make it ideal for a brewing environment, as the motor is well protected from moisture and grain dust.
The motor is seamlessly integrated into the side body of the mill. Being DC, the motor is safer than higher voltage AC, especially in an environment where splashing and hose spray are commonplace. The DC motor is also reversible so the direction of spin can be changed based on the polarity. This is particularly useful for over-mount and under-mount installation.
Kit Includes:
MaltZilla Grain Mill (12-30V DC)
Power Supply (110V)
Polypropylene base baord
Aluminum hopper
6-gallon plastic bucket
17-blade gap thickness measuring tool
Please note: This mill is designed for use with brewing grains only. It will not work for cracking whole kernel corn.

The power supply is straight forward, and allows you to plug the unit into a standard 110V power socket. The alligator clips give you the option to power the unit from a battery. Over-Mount and Under-Mount Installation
Traditionally, homebrew mills just sit on a board where they are moved from one bucket to another. The MaltZilla has multiple different mounting configurations. It can be over-mounted to a board like most mills are, but if you want a seamless finish to your garage/brewing area, you can mount the mill under your counter where it’s concealed and out of the way. Simply lift up a small opening in the top of your benchtop, drop in your hopper, pour in grain and run the mill. When you're done, remove the hopper and conceal the opening. There is also a MaltZilla PPE Base Board available for over the bucket installation or designing your own mill stand. Grain Hopper
This unit does not come with a grain hopper. We recommend using a large funnel with a shortened spout, or a repurposed gallon-sized water bottle. The MaltZilla Aluminum Hopper is currently in development and available for pre-order. Specifications:

The History of MoreBeer! & March Many years ago MoreBeer! worked with March Pumps to release what is now the standard pump in the homebrewing community, their model 809 (our H315) with a polysulfone head and 6' cord with plug. Thousands and thousands of these pumps have been sold to homebrewers. The New Design Now, with a slight design modification, the new model nearly eliminates past cavitation issues (where the impeller spins in an air pocket and no liquid moves). We've been testing/using the pump with our BrewSculptures for several years now and are extremely happy with the results, so much so that we are completely replacing the H315 with the high flow model. Still Works the Same The new model comes with all the great features of the original - magnetic drive, handles flow restriction, okay for boiling temperatures, 6' cord with plug, food-grade materials in contact with the liquid, 1/2" ports, etc. - but now features a different slightly higher flow rate with less issues of cavitation. The magnetic drive in a March pump acts as a clutch allowing the user to put back pressure on the pump to slow down flow. Since it is magnetic drive, it is not self-priming, you must put the pump below the level of the liquid source. This pump cannot be run dry. Additional Notes To restrict flow place a ball valve on the out flow of this pump. This is the pump we install and use on all of our BrewSculpture brewing systems. We stock polysulfone replacement heads, H317, in case the threads are damaged. If you are looking for a pump for a larger home brewery or small nano brewery you can also look at our H325 Nano Brewery pump from March. Features List Included bracket for mounting 6' power cord with plug wired in for easy use 115V - 50/60Hz Maximum flow of just over 7 gpm (at zero head) Maximum head of 18 feet (at zero flow) 1/2" mpt fittings on both inlet and outlet. Materials in contact with solution: Polysulfone, 316 stainless steel, silicone rubber, Ryton and Teflon 1/25 hp, continuous-duty, thermal overload protected, single phase 1.4 Amp motor Motor is fan cooled Will handle internal pressures to 50 psi. Max temp rating: 250F Face unscrews and rotates at 90 degree intervals to adjust to your application. Note: When using silicone tubing, we recommending using a slighlty larger barb than the I.D. of the tubing. This is because silicone tubing tends to have greater pliability than most tubing. For example, when using 1/2" silicone tubing, we recommend our 5/8" barb (H620), to help ensure a better seal!
A larger impeller than what comes in the standard "809" pump. These help to prevent cavitation in the pump head. Designed for our old H315 and new H315HF pumps. Will also fit and improve H350 and H375 pump heads.
This is a replacement assembly for our H315HF pump. It has the polysulfone head and the impeller as well. This unit is set up with the new impeller, and will replace the head of an H315HF unit, or upgrade an older H315 to the High Flow model.
A Stainless Steel pump housing is food-grade and nearly indestructable. Exact same internal pump as our H315 but with a stainless steel housing. Stainless steel is the material of choice for professional breweries because it is a durable, food-grade metal that can withstand caustic chemicals and can also be effectively sanitized. 3/4" mpt on center inlet. 1/2" mpt outlet.
The magnetic drive acts as a clutch allowing the user to put back-pressure on the pump to slow down flow. With a ball valve on the outflow, you can slow flow all the way to nothing. Since it is a magnetic drive, it is not self priming, you must put the pump under the level of the liquid source. We wanted the pump to be brewer friendly so we had March install a bracket so that it can be mounted. We also had a 6' power cord with plug wired in for easy use. This is a tough little pump with a 1/25 hp, continuous-duty 1.4 Amp motor which can be run non-stop for extended periods. This pump has a maximum flow of 7.2 GPM with a maximum head of 12 feet. For an example of typical usage: with a head of 6' it will pump 3.25 GPM and with an 8' head it will pump 2.5 GPM.
Motor requires 115v 50/60HZ power requirements.

High-capacity, commercial-grade stainless steel fruit press Bladder press offers an effortless process that is more efficient and gentler on the fruit Can be used with any standard garden hose and water supply that provides at least 36 psi of pressure Rotating basket allows for easy disposal of the pressed grapes Mounted to welded frame with rolling casters for smooth mobility around the winery Made in Italy by Marchisio Bladder presses offer a gentler yet more efficient press with less operator effort and the ultimate in press-control. You will extract more juice and less tannins. Attach a standard garden hose to the included hose fitting. Water fills up the interior rubber bladder which expands and presses the grapes against the outer stainless steel screen. 35 p.s.i water pressure (2.5 bar) is the maximum pressure you would need to operate. Two sleeves are provided with the press. One a mesh sleeve is placed inside the press and the other is an outer plastic sleeve that is placed over the top of the press to keep the pressed fruit from squirting out. After pressing, the entire stainless basket rotates and the inner mesh sleeve can be pulled out with most of the pressed grapes coming with it. We use this press in our own small production. A platform was built for the press to sit on so that when we rotate the basket we can dump directly into a macrobin. Use a Must Pump (PMP565) to pump fermented grapes up into the press. 118 gallon capacity (not including bladder.) Download the PDF FAQ: Can the press be operated with air pressure? No. These are hydraulic presses that may only be operated with water. When operating with compressed air, there is a risk of explosion and a very high risk of injury if the membrane bursts due to excess pressure or damage. Is a minimum water pressure required? In order to ensure the function and the best possible yield, there should be a minimum water pressure of 2-2.5 bar on the press. What if the water supply delivers more than 3 bar? In principle, this is not a problem, as if the water pressure inside the press exceeds 3 bar, the pressure relief valve opens and there is no pressure-related damage. How many apples make how much juice? On average, 50kg (110 lbs) of apples produce around 30-35L (8-9 gal) of juice, depending on the variety and quality of the apples.

The "number" (#) of the press refers to the diameter of the basket in centimeters. There is no direct relationship between the diameter of the basket and the capacity in gallons or the number of pounds of grapes it can hold.
#45 specifications:
Basket diameter: 18 inches
Basket height: 24 inches
Basket capacity: 22 gallons
Ship weight: 189 pounds

Variable Capacity tanks, also called Variable Volume tanks, made in Italy by Marchisio. This style of tank features a ‘floating’ lid with an inflatable gasket that can be positioned at any height in the tank. Use the included air pump to inflate the lid gasket. Whether you position the lid directly on the liquid, just above, or at the top of the tank is up to you. They are used as affordable stainless production tanks for applications ranging from winemaking to pickled foods and Kombucha.
Considerations for Winemaking
When used in winemaking we recommend these tanks for fermentation and short-term storage. If you are considering storing wine in a variable volume tank for longer than a month, we suggest you consider our German-made Speidel Variable Volume Tanks. In addition to other quality features like a mirror polish inside, thicker stainless, and robotically welded seams, Speidel tanks feature a proprietary lid gasket that only fits their tanks. This gasket is made from a very high quality, thick, white, food-grade, material that makes a true seal and resists oxygen transfer. This gasket also does not have the seam line that clear gaskets have. To learn more about the clear gaskets watch our video listed below the product copy. All variable volume tanks other than those from Speidel, including these tanks from Marchisio, feature a standard clear gasket that is sufficient for many applications, but we do not recommend them for long term wine storage.

We have been buying tanks from Marchisio since the 1990’s, so we have a long history of collaboration. Marchisio is a classic Italian tank manufacturer that represents the best value in the industry. Great quality at a very competitive price. All tanks have a classic marbled finish on the outside and a smooth polished finish on the inside. Each tank includes a dry airlock – a style of airlock that has a marble inside to make a seal. We recommend replacing this airlock with a classic water airlock to reduce potential oxidation. Includes 3/4" chrome plated spigot.

Put one feed line into this filler from your fermenter or barrel and fill three bottles at once. Unit comes included with a Siphon Bulb for conveniently starting a siphon from the holding tank to each filler spout. Each bottle fills independently of one another to allow for staggered filling (take one bottle off as another is filling). Fill is initiated when bottle is placed onto filling spout and set down on the bottle tray. The flow of liquid will stop automatically when the level of liquid in the bottle reaches the liquid level in the reservoir. The bottle will rest upon the bottle tray during filling. Spouts feature a unique design that eliminates dripping when bottle is removed. A float valve keeps the wine level constant in the wine reservoir at all times. Each spout fills about two bottles per minute. Built-in drain allows for easy cleaning. All metal parts are made from 304-type stainless steel. Replacement fill spout seals are available. 9L reservoir.
