  • BrewBuilt 1.5 in. T.C. Kettle Whirlpool Maximizer BrewBuilt 1.5 in. T.C. Kettle Whirlpool Maximizer

    BrewBuilt® Tri-Clamp Whirlpool Kettle Maximizer | 1.5" T.C.

Made specifically for whirlpooling, this fitting angles ricrculating wort along the kettle wall for a more efficient whirlpool effect Doubles as a kettle maximizer, allowing you to pull wort from below the depth of your kettle's bottom port Rotate to your preferred pick-up height in the kettle to leave trub behind when transferring to fermenter Compatible with kettles 12" in diameter and larger This unique tri-clamp fitting works perfectly for whirlpooling hops at the end of the boil and doubles as kettle maximizer when transferring out to your fermenter. When recirculating wort through the bottom port, wort will be returned to flow along the kettle wall for a more efficient whirlpool effect, drawing vegetal matter into the center of your kettle. When transferring wort out, the fitting will then pull from the side of the kettle where matter has been cleared, and by angling the end of the tube downwards, you'll be able to pull liquid from below the depth of your kettle's bottom port without the need to tip your vessel. 1.5" tri-clamp Length from T.C. to tube bend: 7" (approx.) Length from tube bend to outlet: 9" (approx.) Made from stainless steel

  • DigiMash w/ Pump Kit - DigiBoil 65L, Mash Upgrade and Recirculation Pump Kit - 220V DigiMash w/ Pump Kit - DigiBoil 65L, Mash Upgrade and Recirculation Pump Kit - 220V

    DigiMash Electric Brewing System | Recirculation Pump Kit | Gen 2 DigiBoil | 65L | 17.1G | 220V

    1 review

The Gen 2 DigiBoil features two distinct updates that are not currently pictured in the primary images. The stainless steel lid has been upgraded to a glass lid, allowing you to observe and monitor boil activity. The rubber feet have been replaced with a plastic base that provides improved stability and slightly raises the unit for better ground clearance. Updated images coming soon. The most affordable all-in-one automated all-grain brewing system! Mash grains and boil wort in a single vessel External pump kit for recirculating mash will improve efficiency, consistency, and clarity DigiBoil electric kettle automatically maintains mash temperatures with the digital controller Triple heating elements combine for 3500W of power The DigiMash system represents the best value in electric all-grain brewing you'll find. With a 17-gallon DigiBoil electric kettle and the DigiMash stainless steel mashing accessory pack included, this is by far the most affordable way to get into electric all-grain brewing at the 10-gallon batch level. It may not have all the bells and whistles of the BrewZilla, but it does have everything you need to mash and boil all in one unit. With the Recirculation Pump Kit, you can recirculate sweet wort during the mash to improve starch conversion, maintain a consistent temperature throughout the mash, and improve the clarity. The pump can also be used to move water around your brewery if you use a secondary vessel to hold sparge water, or to transfer the wort from your kettle to your fermenter. With the optional Whirlpool Arm, you can also swap out the Recirculation Arm and use your pump kit to whirlpool after the boil. If you're deciding between the DigiMash and the BrewZilla, there are a couple of key differences worth noting. One of our favorite features of the BrewZilla is the programmable mash steps and delayed start, which the DigiMash does not have. You can still step mash by simply raising the temperature manually on the controller, but the automatic steps are a convenient feature if you want to set it and forget it. One advantage that this setup has over the BrewZilla is that the pump is external. This makes cleaning and fixing pump issues much easier, as you can quickly take apart the pump head to clean and clear out residual gunk at the end of each brew day. This model comes with the 65L DigiBoil, which has three built-in heating elements that run off a 220V plug. The elements are 2000w, 1000w and 500w for a combined 3500 watts! The elements can be individually controlled, allowing you to use a single element to gently hold temperatures, or engage all three elements to quickly go from steeping temp to boiling. Temperatures are set and automatically maintained through the digital control panel. Simply set your desired temperature and flip on the heating element(s). DigiBoil Features: 304 stainless steel construction 17-gallon total capacity Digital temperature control 220V / 15A power NEMA 6-30R plug (5 ft. cord) Triple heating element control (2000w, 1000w and 500w) Heating elements are concealed for easy cleaning 304 stainless steel 1/2" ball valve with 13mm barb (approx. 1/2") Stamped-in volume markers (gallons & liters) Stainless lid Temperature reads in °F or °C With elements turned off, hold both +/- buttons to switch between °F or °C External Dimensions: 29" H x 15" W (including handles) Internal Dimensions: 19.5" H x 11.75" W DigiMash Stainless Steel Accessory Pack Includes: False bottom Malt pipe Wire support Malt pipe handle Malt pipe bottom screen Recirculation Pump Kit Includes: High temp magnetic drive pump Recirculation arm with male camlock Female camlock with barb fitting 1/2" FPT x 1/2" barb fitting 1/2" MPT x 5/8" barb fitting 1/2" ball valve 5 ft. length of silicone tubing 4 x hose clamps Plumber's tape NOTE: Due to the size of this item, it is not eligible for international shipping.

  • DigiBoil Complete Still Kit (65L / 220V) - Copper Pot Still Condenser DigiBoil Complete Still Kit (65L / 220V) - Copper Pot Still Condenser

65L DigiBoil Still Kit with Copper Pot Still (220V)

Ready to dive into distilling, but unsure how to piece together your home still? Check out these complete systems that will set you on the path to producing high quality spirits. This kit comes with the 65L DigiBoil Electric Kettle and the Copper Pot Still Condenser. The Copper Pot Still is perfect when you want the flavor of the wash to come through, whereas a reflux still is more favorable for producing pure, unflavored spirits. If you want to make whiskeys and gins, this pot still top is a great way to start! The classic "V" shape captures the vital esters, aldehydes, and phenolic compounds that are necessary for the complex spirits such as whiskeys and gins. Made from solid copper. When your hot spirit comes into contact with the copper, the copper acts like a catalytic converter to drive sulfur out of the spirit. This leads to less off-flavors and higher quality spirit. Kit Includes: 65L DigiBoil (220V) Copper Pot Still w/ Barb Connections Distillation Lid w/ Gasket Warning: Distilling alcohol without permits or licensing is illegal in many countries, including the United States. It is the customer's responsibility to research their local, state, and federal laws and abide by those laws. MoreBeer! is not responsible for any damage or injury caused by either misuse or unlawful use. Stills can also be used to produce essential oils, vinegar, purified water and engine fuel (requires permit in USA). NOTE: Due to the size of this item, it is not eligible for international shipping.

  • Low stock! 50 Gallon BrewBuilt Kettle Gen 2 with 4 x T.C. Fittings 50 Gallon BrewBuilt Kettle Gen 2 with 4 x T.C. Fittings

    BrewBuilt® Brewing Kettle | 1.5" Tri-Clamp | Quad Port | 50 Gal.

This unique kettle with four tri-clamp ports was developed for the BrewBuilt electric kettle line as it requires two ports for two electric heating elements. The kettle is offered without fittings so you can rig it up with whatever accessories you see fit. Welded 1.5" tri-clamp ports for a lifetime of leak-free use 304 stainless steel construction with mirror polish finish Front and back located handles with silicone grips Induction burner compatible Notched lid provides cover while not interfering with immersion chillers, hop bags, or other accessories The BrewBuilt Pro Brewing Kettle is built for even more versatility than the standard T.C. kettle. A third and fourth tri-clamp port are offset from the front and ready to accept an electric heating element, whirlpool return valve, or any other accessory that you want to incorporate with the kettle. Handles are located at the front and back, rather than either side, saving you space when building out a horizontal system and will keep fittings pointed away from you regardless of which side you pick up the kettle from. Designed for Brewing. Built to Last. BrewBuilt brew kettles are made from 304 stainless steel and offer an unparalleled mix of features for the price. At the very top of the list are four welded-in place tri-clamp couplers that offer a lifetime of leak free use.  As you can imagine, welding in a coupler costs more than punching a hole and using a gasketed (i.e. weld-less) fitting. Welded fittings offer a permanent connection that to us is worth every penny.  The second unique feature that we absolutely love about these brew kettles is the notched lid with silicone plug.  This notch allows you so much flexibility; you can use an immersion chiller, one of our Ultimate Sparge Arms for mashing, tie off hop bags, take a temp reading during cooling, or whatever else we all can dream up.   Our T.C. kettles were designed to keep pace with the ever-evolving world of brewing technology. Tri-clamp fittings are standard fare in professional breweries, and they’ve been widely adopted in homebrewing as T.C. fermenters and pumps become more affordable and widely available. Tri-clamp fittings, also known as Tri-clover, allow you to make a sanitary connection that is free of nooks and crannies for contaminants to take hold. They are much easier to break down for cleaning compared to threaded connections, and they don’t require Teflon tape to make a watertight seal. T.C. fittings and accessories also give you the distinct advantage of being able to clean in place (CIP), so you don’t need to break down your entire system after every brew day.   This kettle comes without fittings so you can modify it with whatever tri-clamp accessories best suit your needs.   This Brew Kettle has a lot to offer... Some other features we dig include the internal volume markers from the bottom to the top - so handy for instant reads.  The silicone sleeved handles on the kettle and the lid are a cool feature to protect your hands. The tri-clad bottom with a 4mm core of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel offers even heat distribution during the boil and also makes it a perfect choice for anyone wanting to use an induction burner.  The bottom coupler is also cool with 1/2" male threads on the outside and 1/2'' female threads on the inside.     Beefy 304 Stainless These kettles are made from 304 grade stainless.  That means you will have less corrosion issues than with a kettle made from lower grade 201 type stainless. We put these kettles through a corrosive salt water test in the MoreBeer! shop and they passed with flying colors. We also made sure the rivets and riveted handles were also made of stainless steel for a long term, trouble free life.  The 10 and 15 gallon size are made from 1.0mm thick stainless steel. The 20, 30 and 50 gallon size are made with 1.2mm stainless - that's pretty thick stuff - and you will know it when you pick one up. The included ball valve is a two piece design that allows for easy cleaning (we prefer these over 3 piece for ease of assembly) and is also made from 304 stainless.    Mirror Polish Finish The mirror polish finish isn’t just for making your Instagram feed pop! This extra slick finish is much easier to clean and sanitize than a standard brushed stainless kettle. Hop trub and other organic solids left behind after a brew day will have a hard time clinging to the interior surface and scrub away with ease.   Size Ratios and Stuff All the BrewBuilt kettles follow the recent trend to a 1.2:1 ratio where the height is 1.2 times the diameter. This is a proven commercial ratio that has been adopted in homebrewing to achieve a more consistent 10% evaporation rate during the boil.  We do like this ratio for boiling. For Mashing we would prefer a little bit shallower but that is a small compromise. Dimensions for a hot-liquor tank, if you are thinking brewing system down the road, are irrelevant as any ratio kettle will do.     Final Words With welded tri-clamp fittings, mirror polish finish, a bunch of cool features, and a solid, thick 304 stainless steel core this kettle is a pretty amazing value. Remember, if you order from MoreBeer! we ship free anywhere in the continental USA!   Features: Four welded T.C. couplers for a lifetime of leak free use Notched lid with silicone plug for flexibility 304 Stainless construction for longevity 1.0mm (10 & 15 gal) or 1.2mm (20, 30 & 50 gal) thick side walls resist denting 4mm Tri-Clad Aluminum bottom sandwiched between two layers of stainless steel for no scorching Internally etched volume markers from top to bottom for easy reading Silicone coated handles for heat protection 1.2:1 Ratio is optimal for boiling evaporation rate Lid is designed to conveniently hang from a handle  Stainless handles with stainless rivets for secure lifting Kettle ID - 23.62" Height - 28.3"

    BrewBuilt® Brewing Kettle | 1.5" Tri-Clamp | Dual Port | Side Handles

Built to Last. BrewBuilt brew kettles are made from 304 stainless steel and offer an unparalleled mix of features for the price. At the very top of the list are two welded-in place tri-clamp couplers that offer a lifetime of leak free use. Our new T.C. kettles were designed to keep pace with the ever-evolving world of brewing technology. Configurations The base boil kettle comes without fittings so you can modify it the specific tri-clamp accessories that best suit your needs. Add one of the optional Brewing Kettle Valve Packs above which include your choice of valve and all the hardware you'll need to connect 1/2" ID transfer tubing, as well as an end cap to seal the top port if a thermometer or other accessory is not in place. The Hot Liquor Tank includes the base kettle plus a kettle maximizer for the bottom port and thermometer with 2" probe for the top port. Clamps and gaskets are included to attach the tri-clamp kettle maximizer and the thermometer. The Mash Tun includes the base kettle plus a false bottom kit for the bottom port and thermometer with 6" probe for the top port. Clamps and gaskets are included to attach the tri-clamp false bottom maximizer and the thermometer. Kettles do not come with a valve or additional fittings for the bottom port as standard. Add one of our pre-configured Valve Packs or purchase your preferred valve and fittings separately. Brew Kettles, Burners & Accessories Collection Article +

Brew Kettle Breakdown! By Joshua Rosenthal Whether you are just starting out home brewing or a veteran looking to upgrade your brew kettle, trying to find the perfect kettle can be a daunting process. There are multiple variables to consider: batch size, construction, and unique features. All truly depends on where you are with your brewing process. Kettle Size = Beer batch size When you begin researching your kettle, make sure you know how many gallons you will be brewing, batch size. If you are just starting out with small batch maybe consider a five-gallon kettle for your stovetop or burner. If you were considering brewing in a bag (BIAB), all grain brewing, extract, then maybe eight gallon and above would work providing you with plenty of headspace for compensate for boil overs. Kettle Shape - Big and Tall Kettles do come in different sizes and it all depends on your space. If you are using a stovetop, you may not be able to use a tall kettle but a short one and vice versa if you are using a propane burner and have space. A tall kettle can assist in reducing evaporation loss and prevent boil overs. In some cases, short brew kettles are the perfect solution when space is limited. Kettle Material - Not all Kettles are Created Equally If you are just starting and looking for a cheap brewing kettle, then chances are you looked into aluminum kettles. Sure aluminum is great for absorbing heat and being able to transfer the heat into the wort. But it’s also not as durable as stainless steel and requires a layer of oxidation to help prevent off flavors. Aluminum kettles can also be compromised by abrasions, use of hash chemicals, and by deep scratches. You need to be cautious when cleaning (using acids, alkalis) as the metal can have a reaction to cleaning products. Stainless steel is extremely durable, corrosion resistant, and lightweight. It is more expensive than aluminum, but you know the old saying “you get what you pay for”. If you want to meet in the middle with weight and strength of both, then choose a stainless steel kettle with a tri-clad bottom. The tri-clad bottom offers a layer of aluminum that is between two layers of steel to increase durability, remove reactivity, and increase thermal conductivity. Kettle Bottoms - Shape matters In some cases, kettles will have a step bottom vs. a flat bottom, allowing trub to collect in the lower center section of the kettle and giving opportunity for the pickup tube to pull from the clean raised area on the bottom of the kettle. The only drawback to this type of bottom is having some dead space. Kettle Pickup Tubes - Get every last drop Pickup tubes also known, as “dip tubes” are hoses that usually attach to the back of the ball valve or spigot assembly in the brew kettle. It is designed to pull clean wort through the spigot leaving the trub behind. Some kettles will have pickup tubes positioned on either side of the brew kettle or center. If you whirlpool your wort or stir it, the side pickup tubes is perfect for avoiding siphoning of any unwanted material from the hot or cold break, excess hop residue. However, on the other hand the center pickup tube positioned underneath a hop screen or false bottom can pull filtered wort from the center of the kettle without any contamination. Kettle Ports - Welded vs. Non Welded What is the difference? Welded ports are considered stronger and have been known to be safer as they won’t spring a leak in mid boil. Not that non-welded will leak, but there is always a slight chance, so why worry? Both are easy to clean as the non-welded can be pulled apart and each section (item) can be cleaned separately. If you don’t like cleaning, then welded would be ideal, not so many parts. One major benefit and feature of a non-welded kettle is being able to customize, you can drill into your kettle and install a non-welded bulkhead. Kettle Measurement Markers - Internal vs External Some kettles will come with internal (built-in) volume markers that represent either liters or gallons. There are kettles that will also have a slight gauge, giving you the opportunity to see how much volume you have in your kettle. Sight gauges are considered more accurate as you they are external on the kettle and you can see the amount visually with out lifting the lid. You can either add a sight glass to your kettle or buy a kettle with on built in. The preference is entirely up to you, but if you are tired of using a wooden dowel or back of a mash paddle, it may be time to upgrade. Kettle Thermometers - What is the temperature? There are kettles where you can find an analog dial thermometer installed at the bottom third of the kettle. Inspect the insertion point, as you want to make sure the thermometer is far above the heat source, as it will not distort the internal temperature of the wort. Having a built-in thermometer on your kettle, will allow you to use your kettle as a hot liquor tank as well. You will be able to heat your strike water or sparge water to the right degree without using a hand-held thermometer and risking injury of burning your hand or steaming your face. If you have an immersion chiller, just make sure the thermometer does not conflict with coils when it is submerged. If it does, not a problem, purchase a counter flow chiller or plate chiller to assist in cooling your wort. Beer Brewing kettles These are just some variables to keep in your mind while buying your first brew kettle or considering an upgrade. Consider the size (wort amount), space (where are you brewing), and the multiple of features that you need in order to keep your brew sessions safe, fun, and easy.

What size brew kettle should I buy? +

Pretty much all homebrewing kettles, and all the kettles sold by MoreBeer!, are now made of Stainless Steel. The price of stainless steel has come down in price over the last 10 years to a point where Enamel Coated, Aluminum, or any other type of kettle need not even be considered. As for kettle size we recommend choosing a kettle that is ideally 50% larger than your batch size, but a bare minimum of at least 30% larger. So if you are making 5 gallon batches we recommend you choose around a 7.5 gallon kettle. This will allow you to boil a starting volume of 6 gallons when doing a full-wort boil. It does not hurt to got with a slightly larger kettle. We sell many 8 and 9 gallon kettles for people doing 5 gallon batches. Additionally if you think that you may want to upgrade to 10 gallon batches some day you can buy a 15 gallon kettle and still make a 5 gallon batch. However in these scenarios you do need a special wort chiller called a our 5/10 Split .

I want to order a kettle with a thermometer and an immersion wort chiller, will this work? +

We don't recommend using fixed thermometers (weldless or weld in) on boil kettles that use immersion wort chillers to cool the wort. Most kettles aren't terribly wide, so they have a hard time accommodating a 2 or 6 inch probe and the wort chiller at the same time. Any damage to the probe by the wort chiller hitting it when putting it in or taking it out can lead to incorrect temperature readings over time. Second, and more important, cooling wort tends to have temperature gradients. Meaning, the top temps can be quite different from bottom temps, since heat rises. It is like when you put your toe in a pool and the water feels real warm at the top, but when you jump in you quickly realize that not all the temperature in the pool is the same. We find because of this effect a single fixed point of temperature reading might give you a temp reading very far off of the real temperature of the entire wort. A great solution is using a thermometer go through the notch in the lid and the dial face allows you to read the temperature easily. Another trick is to feel the outside of the kettle for a uniform coolness, from bottom to top. If the bottom of the kettle is as cool as the top, your wort will probably not get much cooler than that, and you are ready to transfer out of your kettle.
