If you do forget, with the PRV on the back side, the left side is the IN and the right side is the OUT.
Yeast starters offer higher cell counts at the time the yeast is pitched, leading to faster, healthier fermentations and better tasting beer!
This kit contains everything you need for making your own yeast starter in package. When you’re ready to make the move from direct pitching your yeast to making a proper starter, this kit is a great way to get going.
The most common size used to make starters using White Labs brand yeast. Same as our Y300 Starter Kit, but with a 1000ml Erlenmeyer flask instead of the 500ml.
In the lab world, these flasks are known as "Student Grade," meaning there may be some cosmetic flaws in the glass, and the volume measurements are approximate due to variations in the thickness of the glass walls of the flask. This makes it a great flask for making yeast starters--at a great price!
We do not recommend the use of an electric element with these flasks. If this cannot be avoided, we suggest using a larger pot as a hot water bath on the stove.

Yeast across the World have a new best friend, the OxyWand™. Insert the oxygenation wand into your fermenter and pump in thousands of microscopic oxygen bubbles for 1-2 minutes to improve the health of your yeast. Healthy yeast produce amazing flavors and have the stamina to completely finish fermentation. That is not the only reason yeast love the OxyWand™. Yeast hate to compete with bacteria and you hate to drink them. Sintered stainless stones are made of tightly compressed stainless steel powder to create a porous block through which oxygen can flow. This micro maze is also the perfect environment for bacteria to live in after the stone has been used once in wort. That is why we love to boil our stones prior to use. The stone on the OxyWand™ is connected via a 1/4" flare fitting and can easily be removed and cleaned after use and then boiled before your next brew day. The assembly is 26" long and will easily reach the bottom of glass carboys, dropped into stainless conicals, Speidel fermenters, etc. The 0.5 micron size stone is designed specifically for use with compressed oxygen tanks. You will want to use 1/4" tubing. See the recommended regulator below to connect to disposable style compressed oxygen cylinders available from your local hardware store. The advantage of using compressed oxygen to oxygenate is speed - you can oxygenate your wort in 60 seconds as opposed to 5 minutes with aeration. This .5 micron stone can only be used with compressed oxygen because an aeration pump does not supply enough pressure. If you are looking for an Oxywand to use with aeration pumps please see the 2 micron version.

Convection toasted Oak Cubes made in the US from American Oak.
These Oak Cubes impart similar flavors as the equivalent oak type and toast level chip, but extract more slowly giving you more control over the final impact in your beer.
These cubes are produced from staves of American oak that have been air-seasoned for 18-24 months, then toasted to a Medium Toast. They will add a sweet, butterscotch note with a hint of bourbon char to your beer.
Suggested dosage is 2-4 oz per 5 gallons of beer.

Achieve rapid and complete fermentation in high-sugar beverages like hard seltzer with balanced, 100% yeast-derived nutrition
Formulated to prevent sluggish fermentations and off-flavors, YeastLife O™ promotes clean, consistent results and improved mouthfeel
This OMRI-listed, gluten-free nutrient provides natural and bioavailable nourishment, ensuring optimal yeast health without the use of inorganic additives
AB Vickers YeastLife O™ is the result of an intensive Research & Development work on brewing process with attention to the yeast nutritional aspect of high sugar/low nutrient based fermented beverages including hard seltzer. On top of solving nutritional requirement to avoid sluggish and stuck fermentation, YeastLife O™ has been formulated to avoid off-flavor and improve mouthfeel.
YeastLife O™ is OMRI listed. For market specific organic compliance, please contact your organic certification organization.
Principle:
Since pure sugar lacks the nutrients required for a healthy fermentation, hard seltzer fermentations require supplementation with a balanced nutrient high in nitrogen, vitamins and minerals. Failure to provide adequate nutrition can result in slow or stuck fermentations, reduced attenuation and off-flavors.
AB Vickers YeastLife O™ is composed of 100% yeast derived ingredients, so nutrients are balanced and bioavailable for yeast metabolism. It does not contain mineral salts or inorganic sources of vitamins or nitrogen (such as DAP or urea). Organic nutrition from AB Vickers YeastLife O™ promotes cleaner fermentations compared to inorganic nutrition that may lead to off-flavors due to rapid yeast growth.
AB Vickers YeastLife O™ is gluten-free.
Benefits:
Complete nutrition for pure sugar fermentations.
Ensures rapid fermentation with high attenuation.
Natural, 100% yeast derived nutrition is balanced and bioavailable for yeast.
Clean and consistent fermentations.
Reduced off-flavors compared to inorganic nutrient supplementation.

Has a high cell count (>1 x 10¹⁰ cells/g)
Rehydrates well in direct pitch applications
Has high ethanol and temperature tolerance
Has organic acid tolerance
Can be used in conjunction with nutritional and vitamin supplementations
Application:
This yeast product has optimal performance within a pH range of 4.0 to 5.0 but can ferment well in the range of 3.5 to 6.0. Optimal fermentation temperature is dependent on other stresses present (i.e. organic acid, ethanol and pH) but generally ferments well in the range of 92-98°F (33-37°C). Under various process conditions, this yeast can produce high ethanol titres under a broad range of applications and substrate type.
Directions for Use:
Yeast can be added directly to a fermenter at a dose rate of between 1.67-4.17 lbs per 1,000 gallons of wort (0.2-0.5 kg per 1,000L of wort).
Storage:
Store in a cool, dry place. Product should be used within three years of its production date for best performance. Packages which have lost their vacuum seal should not be used. Opened packages can be stored cool and used within 3-4 days.
Regulatory:
All yeast conforms to current local regulations.

For best results we always recommend ordering an ice pack with your liquid yeast.
Please Note: When choosing an ice pack option beware that the liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped together. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.
Craft Meister Oxygen Brewery Wash is an oxygen based cleaner that dissolves quickly into solution and gets to work faster than competing products. Unlike other oxygen based cleaners, Oxygen Brewery Wash will not leave behind a chalky residue or film on your equipment. With more active cleaning oxygen than any similar product in the market and a non-caustic alkaline punch, Oxygen Brewery Wash blows away dirt and debris with ease. Works best with hot water (minimum 100 degrees Fahrenheit). For similar performance with cold water see the Craftmeister Alkaline Cleaner. Containers include a scoop for easy measuring. Feature Summary: More active oxygen than competing products Dissolves faster at lower temperatures than Oxi Clean or other oxygen cleaners Rinses faster with less water than other cleaners Cleans with active oxygen and non-caustic alkaline detergents Dilution Rates: For Fermenters, Fittings, Bottles and Tubing use 1 oz (2 scoops) per gallon of water. For heavily soiled equipment and Brew Kettles use 2 oz (4 scoops) per gallon of water. Use: Spray or immerse surfaces and allow cleaner to loosen soil for 5-20 minutes. Rinse with clean water and sanitize, if required.
Yeast across the World have a new best friend, the OxyWand™. Insert the areation wand into your fermenter and pump in thousands of microscopic oxygen bubbles for 1-2 minutes to improve the health of your yeast.
The 2 micron size stone works well with both compressed oxygen or aeration pumps. You will want to use 1/4" tubing. See the recommended regulator below to connect to disposable style compressed oxygen cylinders available from your local hardware store. See the high-pressure, deep water style air pump to use with regular air.
The advantage of using compressed oxygen to oxygenate is speed - you can oxygenate your wort in 60 seconds as opposed to 30-120 minutes with aeration. The advantage of using a pump for aeration is cost - you never have to buy compressed oxygen cylinders.

WLP351 produces a classic German-style wheat beer, with medium to high spicy phenolic overtones reminiscent of cloves Flavor and aroma are highly affected by pitching rate and fermentation temperature PurePitch® Next Generation offers a precise cell count across all strains so you can calculate the exact pitch rate you need for every batch Scan the barcode on the back of the package and enter your wort stats into the Pitch Rate Calculator
White Labs Yeast has been producing high-quality brewer's yeast since 1995 and continues to raise the bar in the art of fermentation Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch! WLP351 is a traditional Bavarian weizen yeast. This strain produces a classic German-style wheat beer, with moderately high, spicy, phenolic overtones reminiscent of cloves. A wonderful yeast strain for traditional hefeweizens, wheat beers, and roggenbiers. Pitching rate and temperature will dramatically affect the flavor and aroma of this strain. Traditional brewing techniques suggest underpitching to produce more classic characteristics of the style. PurePitch® Next Generation—now with more yeast, get a foolproof fermentation without a starter! Just twist the cap & pitch! Why PurePitch Next Gen versus other options? Typically yeast manufacturers use a range for how many yeast cells are going into each package. This can vary widely, especially from strain to strain. Next Gen offers a far more precise cell count across all strains allowing you to use the Whitelabs exclusive pitch calculator. Simply scan the barcode on the back of each package to be taken to their online calculator. Enter the volume, strength, and pitching temperature of the wort you are fermenting and the calculator tells you exactly how much yeast to pitch. You will be fermenting like a professional brewer, using the same concentration of yeast every time and enjoying more consistent results. Don't need a full package? Put the lid back on and store in the refrigerator for your next batch. Whitelabs has also increased the viability (the number of living cells in the package) over the shelf life of the yeast. Next Gen strains are grown in their unique, small-batch reactors to assure freshness and then packaged in a special film that allows for off-gassing, assuring that their viability is absolutely industry leading. Medium Plus toast level oak chips
Fire Toasted
Made from Hungarian/Slovanian Oak
Winery quality Slavonian Oak chips with Medium Plus level toast. Recommended for use during fermentation for 1-2 months. As a starting point use 1.5-3.5 oz per 5 gallons. Taste after two months and add more if needed.
Balazs segments are made from Slavonian oak. Slavonian oak is grown in the area of Croatia that borders Hungary. While the area of Slavonia has changed hands many times, being under Hungarian control in the past, what has always remained constant is the quality of the oak grown in the region. Slavonian oak is beloved in Italy where it is widely used in the traditional and classic Italian wines of the Veneto, Tuscany and Piedmont. It is known for having the utmost respect for the fruit which is why Italian producers extensively use this oak. This makes this oak extremely useful for home winemakers who, because of the small quantities being made, need to pay special attention to not over oaking their wine.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.
Developed specifically for bottle conditioning. PRIME has a high alcohol tolerance, neutral flavor, ferments quickly, and has excellent flocculation to form a compact sediment at the bottom of the bottle, keg, or barrel. Does not ferment maltotriose so will not dry your beer out further and will only ferment the sugar you add.
Every batch is PCR tested to ensure quality.
Dosage:
Use at a rate of .38 grams per gallon or 1 gram per liter.
Directions:
Mix the desired amount of Dextrose in 5x its weight of water, boil, cool to approximately room temperature, and mix the sugar solution into your beer.
Direct Pitch or Rehydrate:
To hydrate yeast, first, sanitize yeast brick and scissors. Use 10 grams of sterilized tap water, between 85-95°F (29-35°C), per gram of yeast. Sprinkle yeast onto the water. Allow the slurry to stand undisturbed for 20 minutes and then swirl. Use small amounts of beer to adjust to within 10°F (6°C) of beer temp. Mix yeast slurry into beer. Allow carbonation to develop for two weeks between 60-78°F (16-26°C) before testing for adequate carbonation.

Recomended for aged red wines High color extraction Significant polysaccaride and glycerol production for huge mouthfeel High alcohol tolerence High nutrient need Top choice for Bordeaux varietals Cabernet, Cab Franc, Petite Verdot and Merlot Also excelletnt for Sangiovese, Nebbiolo and some Pinot The name kind of says it all. BIG RED is ideal for producing big, complex red wines with lasting fruit. Depending on the grape varietal used it can emphasize complex berry fruit and spice flavors. This strain is very efficient at breaking down and extracting tannins and anthocyanins from grape skin walls, making wines with dark inky color and a tannin profile suitable for extended aging. BIG RED also produces a great mouthfeel due to the significant production of polysaccharides and glycerol. It is also tolerant to higher alcohol levels making it ideal for those grapes that need to stay on the vine just a little longer to get full phenolic ripes with smooth tannin profiles. So lets recap... emphasizes berry fruit with many varietals, produces dark color, extracts a full array of tannins suitable for extended aging, makes wines with great mouthfeel, and is resistant to higher alcohols. Is there a catch? No, but to get all that done BIG RED does love nutrients and you will need to feed it and pay attention to it during fermenation. This is a strain where you would ideally know your Free Available Nitrogen levels that you could base a nutrient schedule around. Absent those numbers or a history with the grapes you are fermentiing, we would suggest you start with hydrating with Fermstart, feeding with FermFed DAP free at the onset of fermentation and feeding again with regular Fermfed after 1/3 sugar depletion. BIG RED is a very low producer of H2S when nutrient demands are met. The perfect strain if you want to make amazing reds. Not the perfect strain if you have a vacation planned during the middle of fermentation and are going to ask your neighbor to punch down...we hear it all!. Because this strain respects varietal character it can be used for a broad spectrum of red grape varietals. Perfect of courese for those Bordeaux varietals ilke Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and even Merlot. Also our first choice for Nebbiolo and some bigger style Sangiovese and Pinot Noir. A new way to IPA! Firestone Walker's Hopnosis IPA represents one of the tastiest examples of a new beer style that is quickly gaining ground—Cold IPA. These beers feature the massive hopping schedules you'd expect from an IPA but are then fermented cold with a lager strain. This gives the beer a clean, crisp and crushable profile while allowing the hops to be on full display. From the top of the boil to the final post fermentation dry hop, you'll find a long list of delicious hop varieties from the U.S. and New Zealand. One of the standouts is Mosaic® Cryo Hops® which are used as the biotransformation dry hop addition. Prepare to be absolutely mesmerized by Hopnosis IPA's explosion of tropical fruit flavors including mango, passionfruit, white grape, and lychee.
What Firestone Walker Has to Say About Hopnosis:
In early 2022, we launched Hopnosis as our next-generation West Coast-style IPA. Now the time has come to embrace an even more accurate stylistic moniker for Hopnosis: Cold IPA. While IPAs are typically fermented with ale yeasts, cold IPAs like Hopnosis are fermented with lager yeasts. Remember that IPA stands for India Pale Ale, so fermenting an IPA with lager yeasts signifies a break with tradition.
“When you use a lager yeast to ferment an IPA, you get a cleaner and less ester-driven aroma profile,” said Brewmaster Matt Brynildson. “The colder fermentation also creates a lighter backbone that helps accentuate the bright, tropical hops we’re using. So while Hopnosis offers a lot of things you love in a straight-ahead West Coast IPA, the lager yeast is what pushes it toward the Cold IPA style.”
As a result, Hopnosis rings all the bells of a Cold IPA: crisp and crushable, with a clean hop profile.
