We have found this to be a great basic honey for brewing , so much so that we use it in our ingredient kits that feature honey. American Honey Malt - Briess Malting
25 °L - American Honey is a modern take on a traditional European-style Brumalt. To craft American Honey Malt, Briess starts with the highest quality American-grown barley, then tailor their typical steep and germination process to produce highly-modified green malt — rich with the precursors needed to create melanoidin-style malt flavors. A series of proprietary processes are used to finish the malt and create a product rich with simple sugars and Maillard reaction compounds, leading to one of the most uniquely complex malt flavors. Use 1-5% for subtle honey flavor, 5-10% for complex honey and graham cracker flavors, or 10-20% for prominent, warm bakery flavors of biscuit, toffee and brown sugar. Malt Specification: Moisture % - max. 4.5 Extract fine % dm - min. 82 Color °L - 25

Honey Ale | Gluten Free | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Sorghum Extract
Lightly colored ale with some sweetness from the honey Our Gluten Free recipes use Sorghum extract for the base fermentables Includes Kent Goldings and Northern Brewer hops Estimated ABV: 5.6% Estimated IBUs: 15-18 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer This ale recipe features the use of clover honey, dried rice extract and sorghum. Try adding some dark candi syrup to give it some color. Gluten-Free beers are a different world when it comes to finding a suitable replacement for the base extract. Celiacs are allergic to the hordein protein found in the base malts such as 2-Row and Pilsner malt. They are also allergic to the gliadin protein found in wheat which is the biggest offender of the two proteins. As a homebrewer your goal is to find a suitable fermentable that can emulate the maltiness in beer. Our Gluten Free recipes use Sorghum extract for the base fermentables. Hops aggressively cut through the maltiness from sorghum easily. Hop additions in gluten free beers tend to be 40-50% less than normal. All our gluten-free kits include dry yeast due to the small traces of the gliadin protein found in liquid yeast. (Although lab research has found the yeast metabolize the gliadin protein after fermentation and significantly reduce the ppm present.) Makes 5 gallons Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.5-6% Estimated Original Gravity:1.055-60 SRM (Color Range): 4-6 IBU's: 15-18

American Honey Pale Ale | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain
This ale will deliver a smooth blend of Cascade floral character and biterness, tempered by a slight sweetness from the honey Includes 100% Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 6% Estimated IBUs: 40 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer In 2011, the White House home brewed beer for the first time in, well, perhaps centuries! We were super were excited when a MoreBeer! customer first submitted his freedom of information act request for the White House homebrew recipes. We were a little surprised, and we'll say it - let down - when we saw the actual recipes. One MoreBeer! staffer blurted out "Whoa...this seems like beer that Prince Harry should be brewing." English malt extract, English hops, and even an English yeast strain were used; so the only thing truly American was the honey! It seems that we were not the only beer lovers to pick up on this. So while we really, really love English beers as much as the next homebrewer, we think the Commander In Chief of America and his White House Brewmasters should be using fresh ingredients from well...America. Since we were tweaking the recipe towards this side of the pond, we decided we could also help educate the White House staff on their yeast selection. Yes dry yeast has gotten better but since its for the White House and all, we think they can spring for liquid yeast...and is there any better choice for this recipe than Wyeast 1056 AMERICAN Ale or White Labs 001 California Ale?? Not really. In fact, just queue up the star spangled banner, turn on the football game, and throw some hot dogs on the grill because we are starting to feel pretty patriotic here. So while we send this kit along with our friendly suggestions back to the White House, YOU can make the exact same beer at home. That way if you are in a diner somewhere on the campaign trail and the president pulls up you can whip out a bottle of the 'Honey Pale the White House Should Be Making' or the 'Honey Porter the White House Should Be Making' and enlighten the Top Dog, homebrewer style. This American Honey Pale Ale uses all American ingredients, including: White Wheat, Crystal 15L, and 2-Row grown in the USA Cascade hops California Wildflower Honey Truly a classic American Pale Ale recipe! Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Honey Pale Ale by Jim Rossi | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract
Our Signature Series kits offer a selection of crazy, unique beers developed by MoreBeer! customers, associates, and homebrewing legends! Lightly hopped with loads of honey to penetrate through the malty flavor profile Includes 100% Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 4.7% Estimated IBUs: 13-17 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer We would not have put 3 lbs of honey with 4.5 lbs of malt extract in a pale ale, but Jim had no fear and did just that. The result - a really nice mix of malt and honey flavors. There is enough honey to make it through into the flavor. Just a little Cascade hops in the beginning and finish keep the flavor emphasis on the honey. He suggests WLP002 because it is less attenuative and leaves more malt behind. Skyscraper Brewing Company Bulldozer Honeyweizen® | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | Extract
This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Skyscraper Brewing Company A delicious wheat beer with a pleasant honey sweetness Includes Willamette and Saaz hops Estimated ABV: 4.7% Estimated IBUs: 21-26 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Phil Sutton, owner and head brewer at Skyscraper Brewing Company, was in our local homebrew club, D.O.Z.E. After taking the American Brewers Guild program, he realized brewing was what he wanted to do, and left NorCal to head down south and open up Skyscraper. Phil says, "I started out, like everyone, as a homebrewer. Living in Salt Lake City in 1999, I got sick of paying $13 for a six pack of Sam Adams, and some homebrewer friends got me started with my first batch, a hybrid Bohemian Pilsner that was fantastic! When I got sick of my job writing software, I attended the American Brewers Guild program, worked for BJ's for a year, and then struck out on my own." Most of you have probably already seen the brewery in a certain cellular phone ad, where two guys are trying to sell beer - the guy on the forklift was Phil himself! His Bulldozer Hefe is Phil's flagship beer, and he was kind enough to let us in on the recipe. Next time you are in Southern California, be sure to put Skyscraper on your list of must-visits! CellarScience® ORIGIN Dry Yeast | Hard Seltzer Yeast | Distillers Yeast
The ideal yeast for producing a very neutral, clean base for hard seltzers, canned cocktails, further distillation, etc. Works with malt or sugar fermentations Includes nutrients and pH buffers to keep fermentation humming to finish Able to handle high levels of ethanol and osmotic pressure Ferments clean up to 80°F Our motto is to Empower Your Creative Vision. Origin is a unique style of yeast used to create a neutral alcoholic base that acts as the Origin upon which you layer other flavors. Perfect for Hard Seltzers, Canned Cocktails, and whatever else you can dream up. Also great for neutral washes designed for distillation and tough to ferment honey-based mead fermentations. Works on both sugar, honey, and malt-based fermentations. The secret sauce is a very neutral, high alcohol tolerant yeast combined with nutrients and pH buffers. The non-urea-based nutrients help the yeast in simple sugar mediums naturally low in nutrients. pH buffers ensure a high enough pH to allow the yeast to run to completion in even the toughest of situations. The yeast strain used in Origin is a very low producer of H2S and fruity esters resulting in a clean final product. Origin stays clean at higher fermentation temperatures up to 80°F. Origin could technically be called a Turbo Yeast being packed with nutrients. However, we don't like that association as many turbo Yeasts are not selected and assembled for quality and flavor but rather price and speed. Turbo Yeasts also do not include pH buffers. Origin will work with all commonly used sugars, including sucrose, dextrose, and liquid invert sugar. When fermenting wort from malted barley, use our Brutzyme Glucoamylase Enzyme to break down α-1,4 and α-1,6 glycosidic linkages of starch, dextrins, and oligosaccharides for a drier, more fully attenuated final product. Pilot batches should always be performed to find the optimum final product for your further vision. Directions: Add 10 to 20 g per gal (2.5 to 5 g per liter) directly into your fermentation with no hydration required. Ferment between 65 to 80°F (18-27°C). We recommend starting with a dosage of 15 g per gal (4 g per liter) and adjusting as desired in future batches.

Rye Malt - Viking Malt
2.1-4.3 °L - Viking Malt - Viking Rye Malt is produced from high quality rye. The malting process does not differ much from pilsner malt production. Final air-on temperature is normally 161-176 â°F. Heather Tips
Heather has long been used in brewing, but especially in a Scotch Ale know as Fraoch. This herb imparts a nice aroma and a smooth hint of bitterness. Flavors are similar to a subtle Chamomile/mint blend with just a hint of lavender. Heather Tips are great when used by themselves, but can also be paired with honey. About 2 ounces added to the beginning of your boil will be plenty, but feel free to experiment.

Skyscraper Brewing Company Bulldozer Honeyweizen® | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain
Non-phenolic and no noticeable fusels, even at higher temperatures Double pitch size with a minimum of 225 billion cells—twice the size of the standard yeast pitch Proprietary propagation methods generate fresh, metabolically strong yeast cells and optimal biomass Omega Yeast is founded on curiosity and innovation, expertly producing common workhorse varieties and many unique strains Discover the magic of yeast that has been passed down from generation to generation with Voss Kveik. Pair with citrusy, fruity hops for a match made in Valhalla! Kveik refers to traditional Norwegian farmhouse brewing yeast that has been passed down from one generation to the next, literally being harvested and repitched for centuries. Over this long period of time, kveik developed certain characteristics that distinguish it from modern brewer's yeast. In general, kveik has a very high heat tolerance and will produce a consistent flavor profile across the fermentation temperature range. It's also a fast fermenter, highly flocculent, and has an above average alcohol tolerance.. Attenuation: 75-82% Flocculation: Medium Alcohol Tolerance: 12% ABV Optimum Fermentation Temp: 68-98°F Cell Count: 225 Billion Please Note: For best results we Always recommend ordering an Ice Pack with your liquid yeast. Ice Packs can be found below in the "You might Also Need" section. Please Note: When choosing an ice pack option beware that the liquid yeast will not arrive cold even when shipped together. Ice packs and insulated mailing options are designed to keep the yeast colder for longer during shipment, but they will not ensure that your yeast arrives cold. We will not replace liquid yeast that arrives warm. During warmer months we strongly recommend you choose dry yeast.

Biotin Powder Yeast Nutrient
Biotin Powder – Yeast Nutrient Overview Biotin (Vitamin B7) is an essential cofactor that supports yeast metabolism and healthy fermentation. It plays a key role in fatty acid synthesis, amino acid metabolism, and energy production—processes that directly impact yeast vitality, alcohol tolerance, and fermentation completeness. Why It Matters Most malt-based worts naturally contain biotin, but grape must, honey, or sugar-based fermentations (like cider, mead, or hard seltzer) are often deficient. In these nutrient-poor environments, yeast can struggle to reproduce and may produce higher levels of unwanted byproducts such as hydrogen sulfide or volatile acidity. Supplementing with biotin ensures robust yeast growth, faster fermentation starts, and cleaner flavor profiles. When to Use Wine & Mead: Add at yeast rehydration or early fermentation. Cider & Hard Seltzer: Add with your complete yeast nutrient blend. Beer: Useful for high-adjunct or sugar-heavy recipes. Usage Rate Use 0.1–0.5 mg per 5 gallons (19 L), or according to your nutrient formulation. Key Benefits Promotes strong yeast growth and vitality Supports complete attenuation Reduces the risk of sluggish or stuck fermentations Enhances fermentation consistency in low-nutrient media
