Pick up this Flow Control Ball Lock Disconnect and stop banging your head against the wall trying to balance your draft line. We're all after the same thing -- the perfect pour -- but balancing beer lines can be a daunting task. You do the research and crunch the numbers, choose the right inner diameter line, cut it to the ideal length, only to spend your evenings dialing your regulator setting back and forth like a turtle-necked safecracker. This stainless steel flow control disconnect will eliminate the guess work and fast track you to perfectly pouring beer.
Flow control faucets are a popular option but they're inherently flawed due to the point of restriction being at the very end of the beer line. The flow control apparatus inside the faucet causes turbulence, which leads to foaming and carbonation coming out of solution prematurely. Flow control disconnects on the other hand restrict the flow before the beer enters the beer line so the head pressure created by the beer line keeps the carbonation in solution.
Another advantage of FC disconnects is that you don't have to rely on a small inner diameter or long line length to apply flow resistance. In fact, even in the fully open position the disconnect will provide some inherent flow resistance, so you should use a shorter line than the 5-6 ft. length that is typically recommended. This makes the flow control disconnect ideal for dispensing beer on the go where you might have a picnic tap with a short line or a disconnect faucet adapter with no line at all!
Please note: make sure your keg post o-rings are in good condition before using this fitting. If they are overly worn and you are not getting a good seal, replace the post o-ring then re-attach the ball lock fitting.

If your home draft system is a mix of ball lock kegs and European sanke kegs, having a coupler with ball lock adapters is a huge plus. This allows you to have all your draft lines ending in a ball lock quick disconnect, making it quick and easy to swap lines from sanke keg to ball lock.
Note that the gas-in adapter has a small line cut into the body of the adapter where the bev-out adapter is smooth.
The check valves will need to be installed before first use. The silicone check valve is inserted on the side gas-in port and the check ball and ball retainer are inserted on the top bev-out port.

Magnetic drive enables you to slow down the flow without damaging the pump—just add a ball valve to the outlet!
T.C. connection allows the pump head to be oriented at any angle in a full 360-degrees
Pull ring PRV at the pump outlet makes it easy to purge air and prime the pump before each use
Inline flow path for smooth integration into your brewery while keeping your tubing lines tidy
Stainless steel head with 1/2" threaded ports to attach your preferred fittings—tri-clamp, quick disconnect, camlock, and More!
The best-selling MKII Magnetic Drive Pump now available with a major upgrade! This unit comes standard with an inline stainless steel pump head that installs on the pump body with a 3" tri-clamp. Compared to the standard "center inlet" pump head, the "inline" flow path can make it much easier to integrate into your brewery and keep your brewing hoses tidy. At the outlet of the pump, there is a very handy pull ring PRV that allows you to bleed liquor or wort from the pump head to release trapped air and prime the pump. And with the 3" T.C. connection, not only do you have a full 360-degrees to orient the pump head any which way, cleaning the pump after use could not be easier—just pop off the tri-clamp, wash out the pump head, and clamp back on.
The MKII is a perfect pump for your system and comes highly recommended for brewers stepping up to all-grain brewing. Rather than schlepping heavy kettles filled with hot liquor or wort around your brewery, or awkwardly stacking them into a 3-tier gravity setup, allow this handy pump to move liquid from vessel to vessel while everything remains in place. The magnetic drive allows you to slow down the flow without damaging the pump. This can be done by attaching a ball valve to the outlet side of the pump, and then you simply open or close the valve to control the flow rate. The pump itself is not self-priming, but priming is super easy thanks to the pull ring PRV which will help ensure the pump head is full of liquid and trapped air is released before powering it on.
Tri-Clamp Pump Head
The T.C. pump head can be removed quickly and easily using the 3" tri-clamp. This means no drivers or power drills are needed to back out the six Phillips head screws that mount the pump head on the standard version of the MKII. Whip the head off in a flash to clear out spent grain, hop material, or clear a blockage. Attaching the pump head with a tri-clamp also allows the head to be rotated at any angle in a full 360-degrees. This makes it easy to configure the plumbing to your unique brewery setup.
Inline Design
An "inline" pump head simply means the input and output are on a straight horizontal line with one another which can make it easier to integrate into your brewery setup. If you're using a 3-vessel horizontal system, the inline pump head will make it easier to keep your hoses neat and tidy compared to pumps heads with a center inlet.
PRV Purge Valve
The corny keg style PRV will make priming the pump a breeze. Simply let bleed the pump head to purge air out before turning the pump on and you'll avoid any cavitation issues. The PRV also acts as a safety so you do not over pressurize your pump head or brewery system.
304 Stainless Steel
The entire pump head is made from 304 grade stainless steel so it's highly resistant to chemicals, heat, and physical abuse. The 1/2" BSP threaded ports can be used to attach barbs, quick disconnects, camlocks, tri-clamp adapters, or any other 1/2" fittings you prefer.

If you're brewing on a budget and want the most affordable pump possible, check out the standard model MKII pump. This has been our best-selling pump for years and you can always upgrade it down the road with the standard stainless center inlet head or inline stainless tri-clamp head.
Upgrade your MKII Magnetic Drive Pump with a stainless steel pump head that quickly & easily installs via 3" tri-clamp T.C. connection allows the pump head to be oriented at any angle in a full 360-degrees Pull ring PRV at the pump outlet makes it easy to purge air and prime the pump before each use Inline flow path for smooth integration into your brewery while keeping your tubing lines tidy Stainless steel head with 1/2" threaded ports to attach your preferred fittings—tri-clamp, quick disconnect, camlock, and More!
Upgrade your MKII Magnetic Drive Pump with a stainless steel inline pump head! The TC Breakdown Brewing Pump Head provides several advantages over the standard MKII pump head, first and foremost being it's made of stainless steel instead of plastic. This allows for much easier installment of fittings without the risk of breaking off the plastic inlet or outlet. It will also convert the pump head from "Center Inlet" to "Inline" flow path which can make it much easier to integrate into your brewery and keep your brewing hoses tidy. At the outlet of the pump, there is a very handy pull ring PRV that allows you to bleed liquor or wort from the pump head to release trapped air and prime the pump. But what some MKII users might find most exciting about this upgrade kit is that it converts the pump head connection to 3" tri-clamp! Not only do you have a full 360-degrees to orient the pump head any which way, cleaning the pump after use has never been easier—just pop off the tri-clamp, wash out the pump head, and clamp back on. This upgrade kit is only compatible with the 25-Watt MKII pump (PMP50). It will not fit the larger 65-Watt MKII or the Blichmann Engineering RipTide pump. If you don't already own the 25-Watt MKII, you can purchase it with the T.C. pump head already installed here. Tri-Clamp Pump Head The T.C. pump head can be removed quickly and easily using the 3" tri-clamp. This means no drivers or power drills are needed to back out the six Phillips head screws that mount the pump head on the standard version of the MKII. With the Brass Quick Disconnect Set you can easily connect and disconnect your water line to various equipment. These QD's must be placed in a configuration where water is always exiting the female portion of the QD and entering the male portion of the QD. For example the Female threads x Female QD portion is placed on the end of the hose while the Male QD portion is connected to your equipment. This set includes one Male GHT (Garden Hose Thread) x Male QD and one Female GHT x Female QD. We sell several adapter pieces that allow you convert GHT to male or female 1/2 inch pipe thread or 1/2 inch hose barb, making it a snap mount these QDs on just about any piece in your brewery. Please Note: This product will NOT work with our Stainless Steel or Plastic Quick Disconnects.
You likely want to monitor the temperature of your wort as it moves from the chiller to the fermenter, and now you can do just that with this In-Line Thermometer. This high quality thermometer features stainless steel quick disconnects for easy installation in line with the rest of your brewing system, and many users install it on the “out” side of their convoluted heat exchangers and counterflow chillers.
As the wort runs through the body of the in-line thermometer it runs across the 2-inch thermometer probe, giving an instant and incredibly accurate reading of its exact temperature. Ryan Barto, our Fulfillment Operations Manager and also the thermometer’s inventor, says that this handy device will help you to keep better control of your mash temperatures, and makes it easier to transfer your wort to your conical through the counterflow chiller.
Our new FTSs quick disconnect kit is the perfect way to increase the efficiency of your cooling system while also making it easier to detach your fermenter's chiller coil for easy cleaning.
The neoprene sleeve both insulates and wicks away condensation to reduce temp loss in your FTSs tubing. The sleeve is 10 feet in total length and can be cut to custom lengths to adapt to any FTSs setup. Once cut, use the included velcro strip to secure the sleeve to the quick disconnect fitting.
The quick disconnect fitting was custom tooled for Ss Brewtech with 3/8" hose barbs and features all EPDM seals, which maintain sealing properties at low temperatures. In addition, they include all stainless internal hardware, and integrated valves in both the male and female components to prevent spilling. These fittings work great with either glycol or chilled water from a cooler.
