Perfect complement to BrewBuilt X-Series Conicals
The IceMaster Max 2 is designed to cool fermentations in small vessels. It features 2 built-in submersible pumps with independent digital temperature controllers and can be used with any vessel that has a glycol jacket or submersed cooling coil/rod. Each controller includes a temperature probe that should be inserted into a thermowell in your vessel or can be taped to the outside of the vessel if you don't have a thermowell. The digital controller then measures the temperature of your tank and turns the submersible pump on or off to cool to your desired set temperature. Up to two tanks can be controlled separately with one IceMaster Max 2.
The Max 2 is the perfect unit for brewers with 1 or 2 fermentation vessels. The IceMaster 100 and IceMaster Max 4 are terrific chillers, but for they have far more cooling capacity than the average homebrewer needs. The Max 2 is the most affordable glycol chiller we offer, and thanks to the built-in submersible pumps and controllers, there's no need to purchase additional pump kits to use with your cooling system(s).
Compatibility
The IceMaster can be used with any fermenter that has a built-in cooling jacket, added CoolStix, or a submersed cooling coil. It works well as the cooling source for the following systems and fermenters.
BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni Conical - we recommend one Insulated Tubing Kit for each tank. These kits feature "dry break" quick disconnects that prevent glycol loss and the insulated tubing will increase chilling efficiency and eliminate line sweating from condensation.
CoolStix - CoolStix can be added to a wide range of carboys, fermenters, and tanks and the IceMaster works really well in combination. Each CoolStix is available with or without a pump kit; for use with the IceMaster Max 2 you will only need the CoolStix and some tubing to connect it to the chiller.
Ss Brewtech Fermenters and Brites - Ss BME Chronicals, BME Brites, and Unitanks come with cooling coils and neoprene as standard. The optional chilling FTSs will not be needed for use with the Max 2.
Spike Conical with Optional Cooling Coil - the cooling coil for Spike CF series conicals is available for purchase independently from the TC-100 cooling system. For use with the Max 2 you will only need the coil and some tubing to connect it to the chiller.
Speidel Tanks with Optional Cooling Jackets - You will need two lengths of tubing to connect the chiller to each tank.
Grainfather Fermenters - Grainfather fermenters have standard cooling jackets. You will need two lengths of tubing for each fermenter.
Blichmann Fermenators with Optional Cooling Coil - You will need two lengths of tubing for each Fermenator.
Capacity
It is always difficult to determine exactly how many tanks can be chilled at one time as it depends on what is happening in each tank, if the tank is insulated, and what the ambient temperature is. Cold crashing always requires the most energy and requires tank insulation. We have experimented with capacities and can provide this general guide based on a 75°F ambient and neoprene insulation. Neoprene provides a modest amount of insulation so you would obtain better results using Armaflex or a higher R rated insulation.
At 75°F ambient temperature with neoprene insulation, the Max 2 can cold crash one 1 BBL BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni or two Jacketed Unis up to 15 gallons in size at one time to 38°F.
Set Up
In order to hook up the IceMaster to your fermenter or tank's cooling system, you will need 2 lengths of tubing per vessel. All tubing connections should be secured with hose clamps. The unit comes with JoinTech Male Quick Disconnects installed as the inlet/outlet bulkheads, and also includes Female QDs with barbs to connect your tubing to the bulkheads. QDs to connect tubing to your cooling system are not included as the connection type depends on your setup.

Achieve consistent and optimal fermentation temperatures with the FermWrap Fermentation Heater. This flexible and easy-to-use unit wraps snugly around your fermenter, providing gentle and controlled heat. Use alone or simply plug into the 110V heatnig plug on most popular temp controllers
Provides gentle, even heating with 40 watts spread over almost two square feet
Keep your yeast happy and your ferment warm during those cold winter months with this flexible heater wrap! Don't be fooled by imitators and cheap knock-offs, this is the original FermWrap that has been produced by Fermentap for over a decade. Unlike those old heater belts, the FermWrap covers a wide area of your carboy or fermentation vessel, promoting an even heat distribution. Using tape to adhere, the FermWrap can be attached directly to your fermenter, or can be used to heat the space in a box (or refrigerator) that the fermenter is in. Depending on your configuration and insulation, you can increase the temperature of your ferment from 5-20°F. This differential can be increased by using the BrewBuilt™ Neoprene Carboy Sleeve. With 40 watts of heat spread over almost two square feet, it provides gentle, even heating. For more precise results, we recommend a temp controller and carboy thermowell. The controller will monitor the fermentation temp and only power on the FermWrap if the temperature drops below your set point. For the ultimate level of control, we recommend pairing it with the BrewBuilt CoolStix™ to provide cooling. With both accessories plugged into the temp controller, you'll get cooling or heating whenever you need it. Specs:

The BrewBuilt Pressure Pack features a unique floating racking tube that can be used for taking samples, keg transfers, or serving finished beer. This innovative feature draws beer from the top down, which means you’re always pulling the clearest, most sediment-free beer possible. And with the included filter attachment, any floating vegetal matter will be blocked from ever entering the dip tube. Using pressure to draw a sample from the floating dip tube will also eliminate the tiny bit of oxygen that would be injected into your beer every time the traditional sample valve is opened. Pressure transferring from fermenter to keg is the best way to protect your beer from oxygen when it’s at its most vulnerable state. Kegging could be considered the final hurdle in the brewing process, where limiting oxygen exposure is critical. This could mean the difference between your beer tasting great for months or tasting great for a week. Don’t take any chances. Use the Pressure Pack to keg from the top down and leave sediment behind. Installs on the 4" T.C. port welded into the lid of the BrewBuilt X-Series Uni Conical. The 1.5" T.C. port on the pressure lid can be used for adding dry hops, installing the CoolStix™ for temperature control, or attaching a T.C. pressure relief valve during pressure fermentations. The welded hook underneath the pressure lid can be used to hang bagged hops or other additions. If you're interested in fermenting under pressure with the X-Series Uni, we recommend pairing the Pressure Pack with the Pressure Fermentation Kit. 4" T.C. Lid w/ 1.5" T.C. Port Gas In & Bev Out ball lock posts Clear Float dip tube Floating Dip Tube Filter Attachment included Welded hook for hanging drawstring bags 1.5" tri-clamp, gasket and end cap included Made from 304 stainless steel Warning! The BrewBuilt Pressure Pack is only designed to be used with BrewBuilt conicals that feature a pressure relief valve built into the lid. Failure to release pressure in the conical before remove fittings or the band clamp could result in injury or death.
Have you been struggling with fermentation temperature swings? The BrewBuilt Neoprene Carboy Sleeve works great for maintaining the internal temperature of your 5, 6, or 6.5 gallon glass carboy. If you aren't fermenting in a temperature-controlled environment your beer is likely rising and falling with the ambient temperature, and these swings can stress out yeast and have a negative effect on the finished product. This 6 mm thick neoprene sleeve will help retain the heat naturally produced by fermentation activity and provide some protection from the ambient environment, leading to more consistent fermentation temps, happier yeast, and less off flavors in your beer.
We highly recommend the neoprene sleeve for use with the BrewBuilt Carboy CoolStix. The added insulation will lower the amount of cycles needed to maintain fermentation temperatures and is a must-have for cold crashing.

The IceMaster 100 is designed to cool fermentations in small vessels. It can be used with any vessel that has a glycol jacket or submersed cooling coil/rod. For each vessel you want to cool you will need to buy one of our BrewBuilt Chilling Pump Kits. Each tank is able to be separately temperature controlled. Each Glycol Pump Kit includes a submersible pump that is placed in the cool bath of this chiller along with a digital controller. The digital controller includes a thermal probe that should be inserted into a thermal well in your vessel or can be taped to the outside of the vessel if you don't have a thermal well. The digital controller then measures the temperature of your tank and turns the submersible pump on or off to cool to your desired set temperature. Up to four tanks can be controlled separately with one IceMaster and four BrewBuilt Chilling Pump Kit (GLY35).
Compatibility
The IceMaster can be used with any fermenter that has a built in cooling jacket, added Coolstix, or a submersed cooling coil. It works well as the cooling source for the following sytems and fermenters.
BrewBuilt Jacketed Uni Conical - You will need one Glycol Pump Kit for each tank.
Coolstix - Coolstix can be added to a wide range of carboys, fermenters, and tanks and the IceMaster works really well in combination. Each Coostix Complete Kit comes with a pump kit and controller.
Ss Brewtech Fermenters and Brites with optional FTS Temperature Control Systems - Because FTS systems include a pump and controller you will not need to buy a separate Glycol Pump Kit.
Spike Conical with Optional Cooling Package - Because the optional Spike cooling system includes a pump and controller you will not need to buy a separate Glycol Pump Kit.
Speidel Tanks with Optional Cooling Jackets - You will need one Glycol Pump Kit for each tank.
Grainfather Fermenters - Grainfather fermenters have standard cooling jackets. You will need one Glycol Pump Kit for each fermenter
Blichmann Fermenators with Optional Cooling Coil - You will need one Glycol Pump Kit for each Fermenator.
Neoprene a modest amount of insulation so you would obtain better results using Armaflex or a higher R rated insulation. If only controlling fermentation temps the capacity would be higher. Four BrewBuilt Chilling Pump Kits (GLY35) is the maximum that will fit in the IceMaster. We are working on smaller glycol pump kits, where the pumps have smaller footprints, so the IceMaster right now has the capacity to use 5 pumps through the bulkhead fittings.
Capacity calculated at cold crashing to 38°F at 75°F ambient with neoprene insulation (double for fermentation temperature control):
2 - 1BBL (31 Gallon) Jacketed Tanks
2 - 1/2BBL (15-20 Gallon) Tanks
3 - 10-14 Gallon Tanks
4 - 5-7 Gallon Tanks
Set Up
In order to hook up the IceMaster to your fermenter or tank's cooling system, you will need 4 lengths of tubing. All tubing connections should be secured with hose clamps.
Length 1: Submersible pump outlet to inner barb of 1st bulkhead
Length 2: Outer barb of 1st bulkhead to cooling system inlet
Length 3: Cooling system outlet to outer barb of 2nd bulkhead
Length 4: Inner barb of 2nd bulkhead to IceMaster resevoir (should drain freely, no connection necessary)

Warning: Do not set the reservoir temperature controller lower than 28°F (-2ºC). Running the unit below this temperature may negatively affect the unit's efficiency and has the potential to freeze beer which may impact the finished beer's flavor.
Build your own walk-in cooler with a standard A/C unit from any hardware or appliance store! The CoolBot enables A/C units to cool below their standard setting of 60°F, allowing you to use them as a low-cost refrigeration alternative Installs quickly with no tools or electrical know-how required—see the videos below! Perfect for turning rooms or storage sheds into a fermentation locker, keg room, wine cellar, food larder, and More!
A CoolBot allows a standard air conditioner to cool a room or space down to 35 degrees F. Installs with no tools or electrical knowledge required. Standard A/C units available from any hardware or appliance store have lots of power but they are electronically limited so that they cannot go below 60 degrees F. This is because they would freeze up. Commercial refrigeration for walk in coolers combat freeze with increased surface area on the fins as well as fans. Instead the Cool bot technology uses multiple sensors, a heating element and programmed micro-controller to control your air conditioner in such a way that the unit can go below 60F and not freeze up. The Coolbot cannot give you 100% of the btus listed on your air conditioner nor is suitable for large brewery or winery walk ins. It is perfect for wine cellars, beer storage, fermentation, etc. Easy to install within 30 minutes with no tools or electrical knowleged required. While we can't tell you exactly what size space you can cool because of ambient temperatures and insulation factors, we recommend you google Coolbot. They have sold over 50,000 of these so there are lots of reviews and actual installs out there. We offer free shipping on this unit, ship fast from both coasts, and have great customer service. This type of system is also very efficient. Most commercial systems are power hogs with large fans that are always running. Residential A/C units are made for efficiency. The Coolbot will also shut down the compressor for short time when the unit is running at its highest level of inneficiency, as it nears freeze up. Dims of the CoolBot are 6.5x3.5x1.5 in. BeerStix Carboy Sticks are one of the simplest and easiest forms of oak to use in beermaking. Simply add one stick per 5 - 6.5 gallons, and enjoy the results a couple months later. When it comes to removing the stick, there's no fumbling around with cubes trying to get them through the neck of a carboy. These are made with a hole at the top so you can lift the Beer Stix out with fishing line when done. The Carboy Beer Stix are an awesome addition to the homebrewers aresenal. Use them to take a recipe to a fun and delicious next level. Already make an amazing stout, or brown? These are prime candidates to age with some oak, and enjoy the rich results!
French Oak toasted to a Medium + with the beerstix milling will give your beer toasted roasty aromas reminiscent of coffee, along with some caramel, and a subtle sweetness that gets the whole palate. Different beer styles will accentuate or mask different flavors from the oak, so expect some variation! The Beerstix miling gives 60% more surface area compared to the Winestix, speeding up the extraction process, and getting you a beer that has a rich oak character, in less time. The Beer Stix are also milled thinner than the WineStix, allowing for denser toasting.
Features:
Oak Origin - France, Allier Region

Beerstix 8 piece Barrel Tethers are a great new means of imparting high quality Oak flavor to your beer. These tethers are designed to fit through the bung hole of a barrel, and sized to treat 59 gallons of beer (for smaller volumes, or less oak impact, simply cut off sections as necessary). Thanks to careful selection of oak, followed by precise aging and seasoning, and exact toasting, these Tethers will provide a round and rich oak character specific to the toast level and origin.
