British Fuggle | Pellet Hops
One of the quintessential English hops, Fuggle is prized for its earthy, floral, and understated fruit characteristics. Primarily used as an aroma hop, it will give your beer a "British" flavor that is distinct from the popular Northwestern varieties like Cascade, Centennial, Columbus or Chinook. Fuggle is generally associated with delicate and pleasant mint, grass, and floral tones. Fuggle is a fine choice when making any English Ales, including Bitter, ESB, Pale Ale, Stout, Strong Ale, Cask Ale, and many more. Hop Statistics: Alpha Acids: 3.5 – 6.5% Beta Acids: 2.0 – 4.0% Alpha-Beta Ratio: .88 – 3.25 Cohumulone: (% of alpha acids): 25 – 32% Total Oils in mls per 100 grams dried: 0.7 – 1.2 Similar Hop Varieties: Goldings, Willamette

Styrian Goldings (Celeia) | Pellet Hops
Due to high demand, the 11 lb is currently out of stock. Be the first to receive your items by placing a pre-order today. We will automatically ship this to you when we receive more inventory. Nearly identical to popular Fuggles hops, Styrian Goldings hops are a low alpha varietal with a lovely, traditional European aroma. Commonly utilized in Belgian Ales, Lagers, and ESBs for that smooth, slightly spicy, and delicate noble aroma, Styrian Goldings could easily take the place of Willamette or Fuggles in any recipe. The name Styrian Goldings covers what can actually be a few different varietals grown in Slovenia (confusing for sure). Our Styrian Goldings is the Celeia varietal. Hop Statistics: Alpha Acids: 1.3 – 6% Beta Acids: 2.0 – 3.0% Alpha-Beta Ratio: .98 – 2.75 Cohumulone: (% of alpha acids): 25 – 30% Total Oils in mls per 100 grams dried: 0.3 – 1.0 Storage(% alpha acids remaining after 6 months storage at 68° F): NA Similar Hop Varieties: Fuggle, Willamette, Kents Golding

Magnum | Pellet Hops
Magnum is a great bittering hop with an aroma similar to a strong Willamette. It therefore works well with Willamette, Fuggles, and British Kent Goldings when used as an aroma hop in later boil additions. Magnum makes an incredibly useful bittering agent in just about any beer, and due to its very smooth bitterness, you can really use as much as you want. Clean smooth bitterness with a slight floral/fruity aroma. This German variety generally has a higher AA content than US Magnum. This is the main high alpha variety grown and used in Germany. Fantastic hop to use for bittering. Hop Statistics: Alpha Acids: 11.0 – 16.0% Beta Acids: 5.0 – 7.0% Alpha-Beta Ratio: 2.2 – 3.2 Cohumulone: (% of alpha acids): 21 – 29% Total Oils in mls per 100 grams dried: 1.6 – 2.6 Storage(% alpha acids remaining after 6 months storage at 68° F): 80 – 90% Similar Hop Varieties: Taurus, Nugget, Columbus

German Tettnanger | Pellet Hops
Tettnanger, or Tettnang, hops are a traditional German variety that is widely used in lagers. Tettnanger hops are known for their versatility, as they offer a traditional noble aroma that blends seamlessly with other hops in your brew. Expect that classic German nose of spice, earth, and a hint of floral commonly added to German Ales, Lagers, and Wheat Beers. Hop Statistics: Alpha Acids: 2.0 – 5.0% Beta Acids: 3.0 – 4.5% Alpha-Beta Ratio: .89 – 1.67 Cohumulone: (% of alpha acids): 20 – 25% Total Oils in mls per 100 grams dried: 0.4 – 0.8 Similar Hop Varieties: Santiam, Spalt, Fuggle

Magnum Hop Rhizome
Rhizomes are now in stock and orders are being fulfilled. If you haven't ordered your rhizomes yet, this is your last chance till next season! 11.0-16.0% AA. Grows well in all climates. Good yields, and high tolerance to disease. Magnum is a great bittering hop with an aroma similar to a strong Willamette. It therefore works well with Willamette, Fuggles, and British Kent Goldings. Because its bitterness is so smooth you will find that you can use more of it than many recipes specify. For example, we use two full ounces for a 60 minute boil in IPAs. Rhizomes should be planted immediately for best results. If your area is still experiencing frost then you can plant them in a planter indoors until it is safe to transplant outside. The first years crop will generally be smaller than subsequent years. Since these are live plants, we cannot guarantee they will grow, so we recommend buying two of each type to help ensure their success. Shipping Restrictions: Due to agricultural restrictions, we can only ship rhizomes to addresses that are in the United States, excepting Hawaii, Oregon, Washington, and the counties of Bonner and Kootenai in Idaho. Unfortunately, we cannot ship these to international locations including APO/FPO addresses.

The Fuggles Single Hop Experiment | 5 Gallon Beer Recipe Kit | All-Grain
Our Single Hop Experiment series is the perfect way to learn the characteristics of individual hop varietals Includes a small bittering addition of Magnum and three 2 oz additions of your chosen hop for late boil and at dry hopping Estimated ABV: 5% Estimated IBUs: 35 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer We recently had a simple, yet exciting idea: What if we brewed the same recipe, used the same yeast, but changed one thing - the flavor, aroma, and dry hop additions using one hop varietal. That way we could take two beers that are close to identical and pick out the differences in just the hop flavors and aromas! And thus, the Single Hop Experiment was born. This recipe is based off of a simple Pale Ale: 2-Row, Crystal 15L, Magnum bittering hops, and then a single other hop for the rest of the additions. The malt in this recipe is basic and fairly neutral, the bittering clean and consistent, but the flavor and aroma from the late hop additions will vary; sometimes dramatically! Ever wanted to know what your favorite hop really is? Brew a few of these different Single Hop Experiment recipes to find out! Estimated Original Gravity:1.049-54 SRM (Color Range): 7-8 IBU's: 35 Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5% Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”. For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All grains will come milled, unless you select unmilled base malts.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME) MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Artisan Hops® Hop Shot - Centennial Hop Extract - 10 mL
