This ultralight malt extract is the lightest Malt Extract available. Absolutely perfect as the base for any lager, especially German lagers and Czech Pilsners, it can also be used as a base for darker more robust beers. Our Pilsner Malt Extract is made from Pilnser barley grain and Carafoam barley grain. The added Carafoam helps with head retention and body.
When compared with our
light malt extract
, this has a touch touch less malt flavor, is a little lighter in color, and has a clean, crisp finish. We suggest you experiment with both malt extracts and see what you like best for your base. Based on our own experience this extract is also our first choice for any Belgian Ales.
