Shall we brew a beer? Put down that can of Tab and boot up your brewing software, this Strata-forward double dry hopped pale ale isn't playing games. StrataGem perfectly interfaces Strata and Idaho Gem™ hops to execute a DDoS attack of tropical flavor with notes of pineapple, cherry, candied fruit, and a touch of chili-cannabis-funk. A clean malt bill of light malt extract, oat malt, and white wheat runs in the background as 7 oz of hop additions overwhelm your flavor sensors. This cyberpunk pale ale might not be powerful enough to trigger global thermonuclear war, but StrataGem may very well overwrite your brew schedule with viral copies of itself.

Liquid Malt Extract (LME) vs. Dried Malt Extract (DME)
MoreBeer! recipe kits are offered in both Liquid Malt Extract and Dry Malt Extract so that our customers can choose the format that best suits their needs and brewing style. LME is a viscous liquid, similar in consistency to maple syrup. In addition to being the more affordable option, many brewers find LME easier to handle than dry extract. DME is more condensed and comes in a powder format that is similar to baking flour. Although it’s a little more costly, DME is naturally lighter in color and stays fresher for longer. We highly recommend DME when brewing light colored beers.

Give your homebrew that refining touch.
Adding Maltodextrin to your extract brew will help you fine-tune the body and mouthfeel without affecting the flavor. The Maltodextrin molecule is a chain of sugars between 4 and 20 dextrose units in length. That means it is only 3% fermentable by brewer's yeast, and so will contribute body to the finished beer. It is naturally present in all finished beers, up to 6% by weight, but the grains that yield it in All Grain brews don’t respond well to steeping in extract batches.
Our maltodextrin is composed of .5% dextrose, 2.5% Maltose, 3.5% maltotriose, 93.5% higher saccharides, and is made from corn. It is often also referred to as Dextrin or Dextrine Powder.
Add to the wort at the same time as the extracts.

A refreshing West Coast IPA with notes of citrusy lemon, grapefruit, and gooseberry
Includes Centennial, Citra®, and Nelson hops
Estimated ABV: 6.5%
Estimated IBUs: 53
Makes 5 gallons of finished beer
Creek Park from Wondrous Brewing Company in Emeryville, CA is an incredibly refreshing West Coast IPA hopped with Nelson, Citra® and Centennial. All three hops are incorporated at each stage of the hopping schedule from the late boil aroma addition, to whirlpool, to dry hopping. With no specialty grains in the malt bill to distract your senses, you'll hone right in on the delicious hop character of citrusy lemon, grapefruit and gooseberry.
This kit recipe was given to us by our friend and former MoreBeer! employee, Wynn Whisenhunt. One of the many MoreBeer! past employees to turn pro, Wynn is now the owner and head brewer of Wondrous Brewing Company. If you want to brew it as they do at Wondrous, Wynn suggests using WLP001 California Ale yeast for fermentation. Ferment until complete at 66°F then dry hop and raise the temp to 68°F for 6 days. D-test then crash! If you're kegging, force carb to 2.6 volumes of CO2.

A malty red ale with a very hop-forward structure Includes Magnum, Northern Brewer, Willamette and Cascade hops Estimated ABV: 5.9% Estimated IBUs: 31-35 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer Ale Industries was the second brewery to open in Concord, and just happened to be right next door to us (man, we were lucky)! Morgan and Steve, the brewers and co-owners, opened Ale Industries with one thing in mind - to not brew the same beers that everyone else is brewing. Their first beer, a hybrid Witbier called "Orange Kush" (thereafter called Golden State of Mind) , is more malty and aromatic than most commercial wits are. The second beer, Rye'd Piper, is a malty red ale that has a very hop-forward structure, but not over the top, like some reds can be. Bow down and tremble homebrewer, for you are in the presence of a king! This 30-story tall liquid kaiju will singe your senses with multiple Multihead additions, culminating in a tropical gravity beam blast of guava and melon. Survive this opening assault and you’ll be hit with an Idaho Gem™ thunder spark of pineapple, and then swept away by hurricane winds of Cashmere lemon/lime and stone fruit. Just as King Ghidora is not limited to a single ferocious maw, you’ll be hard-pressed to have but a single pour of this juicy, tropical brew. Without a ragtag ensemble of advorseries spearheaded by Godzilla himself, King G will reign over your beer rotation till he ultimately brings about the Earth’s next extinction-level event and moves on to another planet victim.
King Ghidora was brewed in collaboration with our Pittsburg, CA neighbors, E.J. Phair Brewing Company. It features a clean grist of 3 unique base malts, with a touch of white wheat for head retention and a dash of acidulated malt to lower pH. With only a quarter ounce of Citra® added late in the boil, this beer shows very little bitterness and lets the flavor and aroma hops do the talking. The first dry hop addition is added to the fermenter before transferring wort from the kettle. Although this isn't a Hazy IPA, the beer will have a slight permanent haze due to biotransformation, which occurs when yeast interact with hop oils during primary fermentation.

Stop leaving clean, perfectly good, wine or beer in your tank and always drain from the perfect height with our tri-clover style rotating racking arms. Remove your existing tri-clamp butterfly valve and place this rotating racking arm between the tank and your valve. When it is time to rack off slightly loosen the clamp nearest the tank and use the built-in handle to rotate to just about the lees level.
A white rotatable gasket is placed between the welded in tank fitting and this rotating arm. Because the micro finish of the gasket is hard and slippery it allows the rotating arm to rotate in place. A standard black EPDM gasket is placed between the rotating arm and the butterfly valve and is always kept completely tightened.
The length of the arm after the elbow is 10.5" allowing you to draw from roughly 8" above or below the valve level. The arm measures 9.5" from the TC fitting to the elbow. We suggest you assemble the rotating arm and butterfly valve in such a way that the arm is pointed in the same direction as the handle on your butterfly valve. In this manner you always know how the racking arm is positioned in your tank.
