Sterile PES membranes have individual .45 holes that do not allow particulates larger than .45 micron to pass.  PES Cartridges provide the ultimate biological barrier and should be used as the final sterile filtration as your beverage is in route to your final packaging. \u003c\/p\u003e\r\n\u003cp\u003e\r\n\tA Polyethersulfone layer looks like white film with .45 holes that you cannot see. This film is then supported with a 100+ micron layer of PE on both sides to stability. This outer layer is what you see when you look at a filter.
