Description
  • The highest quality plastic ball lock quick disconnect available to homebrewers

This black, beverage out quick disconnect comes with a flare for attaching to a beverage line, and it's made by CM Becker so you know it is high quality.

The flare threads measure 1/4 inch.

Note: Sometimes ball lock fittings can be difficult to get fully seated on a Cornelius keg. We recommend using a quick spray of sanitizer solution to act as a lubricant and giving it a few twists while applying the ball lock.

Are the connectors the same on ball lock Corney Kegs and ball lock Torpedo Kegs?

BEST ANSWER: The connectors function exactly the same. The internal construction of the posts is slightly different, so replacement parts wouldn't be interchangeable.
Do I need 1/4" flare fitting and 1/4" swivel nut to attach this to 5mm ID tubing?

BEST ANSWER: Yes. The nut tightens the barb to the disconnect. I have these on all of my connections so I can take the disconnect off the beer line for easy cleaning.

BEST ANSWER: For 3/8" silicone, I would use a KEG640 Flare Fitting Set - 1/4 in. Nut & 5/16 in. Barb. You can also see all the options at https://www.morebeer.com/category/flared-keg-fittings.html

All of my kegs use these CM Becker disconnects. They just plain work. Never any issues. Easy to clean and sanitize. The only reason I would ever switch to stainless is the bling factor. These do the job wonderfully.

The best plastic disconnect
If you are using plastic ball lock disconnects, the CMB ones are the best. They don't leak like the cheaper ones, and are easy to disassemble and clean.

Work great
Bought these for gas and liquid on my new 3 tap kegerator. I used the Duotight push fittings for the entire system. No hose clamps on the entire system. I have use push fittings for my RO/DI water system underv80-90psi and trust them completely. I recommend spending the extra $5 for the tube cutting tool. It makes a nice clean cut and has a tool for removing the Duotight push fittings from the line.
