JP's Oak Aged Dry Nibbed Oat Stout (All Grain) KIT708
JP is in search of the best oatmeal stout under 6.5%, and he thinks he'd found it. This recipe features no Black Patent at all, and a nice helping of Pale Chocolate malt and a touch of Carafa II - not to mention 10% of the grain bill is oatmeal! This beer was listed in Zymurgy magazine in JP's article on using oak in beer. Since then, he has discovered cacao nibs and how well they go with this particular recipe.
To that end, his kit has both the oak and the cacao nibs included, so you can play around with the flavors.
When not brewing beer, you can find JP co-hosting The Sunday Session on The Brewing Network, working at MoreBeer.com, and writing about himself in the third person.
