This beer is by far one of our most original recipes to arrive on the MoreBeer! scene in the last year. Inspired by our craving for German Kolsch Beers, we tried to capture the drinkability but enhance the color and maltiness. Imagine a ale beer that is ruby in color and drinks like a lager! This is it!
Fermentation Tip: This beer comes with a dry ale yeast. To be close to the kolsch style we recommend fermenting the ale yeast included at 58-62F to bring out a cleaner ferment and malt flavor. Ferment for 10 days at 58F and let it rise to 62F for 4 days. If you want to be true to a 'kolsch style' please try our liquid white labs strain WLP029 and follow the same fermentation guidelines.
