All-Grain Brewing

The process of making beer directly from malted grain. The first step is to mill (crack) your own grain.  You then mix that grain with a measured amount of hot water and let it Mash (steep) for up to an hour.  During that time starch is converted into sugar by the enzymes that are naturally in the malted barley.  You rinse the sugar out during the  Sparge process of running hot water through the grain.  Collect the run-off, called sweet wor, and boil in your kettle just like a batch of homebrew made from malt extract. Click on this link to read our All-Grain Brewing Directions

To get into All-Grain Brewing you will need some special equipment and that is what you will find on this page. You will also find  some of the components like Mash Paddles and Grain Mills that are also used during this process. Our most popular starter kit for getting into all-grain is the B3-150 Cooler system below, check that out first.  If you are looking for our popular Brewing Sculptures (the ultimate all-grain home brewing systems!) click on take me to Brewing Scultpures!
