Ale - Room Temperature Fermentation

Fermenting Ales at Home - A Great Place to Start!

All beers can be classified as either Ales or Lagers. Lagers need to be fermented at 48F to 55F and usually require investing in some sort of temperature control to achieve this. Ales, which like to ferment between 62F to 74F, are a great choice for the both the novice and advanced Home Brewer. Because most people keep their living space between this temperature range anyone can ferment an Ale in their closet, bathroom, living room, or on their kitchen table without having to buy any additional equipment! Our Ale kits take an average of 14 days for fermentation before they are ready to be bottled or kegged.
