May I have some more please!
This was my first lager as well. I brewed it in September and served it in December man o man what a wonderful beer this has been by far my favorite. The 5 gallons lasted less than a month with the holidays. I will absolutely brew this again!

Nice Kit for Double Bock
Nice way to get started with a double bock beer. Kit contains everything you will need to brew the beer, except yeast. Kit brewed real easy. Used White Labs Bock yeast and have the brew fermenting in by basement. Looking forward to trying it around April.

This was a very good tasting beer and yielded my highest ABV to date. I will definitely be making this beer in the future!

Tastes great at bottling
Brewed this in the fall. 3 weeks primary fermentation @ 58 degrees with 1 packet of saflager s-23. 3 months lagering in my garage at about 36 degrees. Bottled it today and it tastes great so far. Still a little hot alcohol taste, but I expect that to mellow out with a few months in the bottle. Looking forward to brewing this again next winter!

Great beer!
This was my first lager. It took 1 month to ferment in the garage, and then I left for 1.5 months to lager in my kegerator. Finally, I enjoyed a great beer, but it was worth the wait. It is high alcohol, but still tastes very smooth.

What yeast did you use? Did you make a yeast starter. I am new to brewing so any info helpful.

Such a big beer !
Mercy, mercy. This doppelbock is a big beer. The 9% ABV is however well balanced with hops and malt taste. Will definitely look for opportunities to split ONE of these with a guest in my home. This should keep a couple years or so.

I plan to try the regular bock kit next lager making season (winter for me).

This going on about 12 months old now. Man, what a great beer. I plan to make it on a schedule so that a generous supply of 12 month (or so) Doppelbock is always in the house.

Oh man, this is good beer. It has been in bottle about 12 months now, and is so fine. This beer will be made on a schedule to provide a well aged supply at my house at all times.
