The name says it all! No more struggling with all the different techniques to get a siphon started. The Easy-Siphon will get your transfer started quickly and with zero fuss. Simply submerge the the siphon, pull the inner tube up about halfway, then pump down to start the siphon. New design features 7/8" OD racking tube to better fit carboys, 1-gallon jugs, or growlers.

To prolong the life of your Easy Siphon, make sure that every time you assemble the unit, the inner walls of the outside acrylic tube and the O-Ring are wet.

Comes with 1/2" cane and 24" racking tube. 7/16" or 1/2" ID tubing must be purchased separately. Also available in 3/8" and 3/8" Mini models.

Maximum Temperature: 140°F (60°C)

Instructions:

  1. Sanitize and rinse your Easy-Siphon.
  2. Get the inner tube gasket and the outer tube wet.
  3. Attach the curved siphon to a hose.
  4. Submerge the end of Easy-Siphon into your container.
  5. If bottling directly, attach the correct bottle for the tubing you are using and place it inside your bottle wand. Otherwise place the the tubing into the container you're racking to.
  6. Pull the inner tube up about 7" until the liquid fills the tube.
  7. Pump the inner tube down and siphon will begin.
  8. Pull out inner tube and sanitize Easy-Siphon for storage.

This product is not resistant to high levels of alcohol. Do not sanitize with alcohol.

Acrylic is safe for long exposure to ABV up to 15%. It is safe up to 30% ABV for short periods of time (10 minutes or so). Not safe to expose acrylic to more than 30% ABV. Exceeding those limits will damage the Acrylic and could potentially leach into liquid. If you need to exceed these limits, we recommend using a stainless racking cane.

Would this work to transfer from a kettle to the fermenter? I'm doing five gallon batches in an 8 gallon kettle, and it's too heavy to handle accurately.
Matthew C Dowdy on Oct 2, 2020
BEST ANSWER: yes..I have had both sizes. I really like the 1/2" size (larger). But should really work well for transferring from the kettle to the fermenter. You made need some sort of clamp on the tube and edge of the kettle to keep it in place in the kettle
Sucks in air around seal when the liquid level gets low. Works good until the level reaches the tube seal then air is pulled on with the siphon. Anyone else have this problem? Can the seal be replaced?
Larry Geren on Dec 8, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I have that issue as well and I'm in the market for a new siphon! I haven't been happy with this
purchase from the first use but have put up with it.

I waited till the night I was bottling wine and was very disappointed. It was my bust that I did not catch this information so fyi everyone...
"7/16" or 1/2" ID tubing must be purchased separately!"

I tried it anyway by moving the bottle with the pump, but it wouldn't draw a suction to siphon the wine. Finally got it to go with each pump a little product came out... not sure what is wrong, but I am Disappointed!
So, I pulled out the old cheap "$2 pump by hand" and it worked flawlessly.
I would not buy this again.
I will buy the extra tubing and try again, but right now this product gets a thumbs down!

Very good price, and just a few pumps and it flows like a fountain, easy to clean!

works well, but not the easiest thing to clean.
this siphon works better than the others I have tried, I just wish the tip was detachable so I could clean it more thoroughly.

Works well, good for the money, but hard to clean
I got this after scaling up to 5 gal, the smaller cane I had for 1 gal batches would just barely reach the bottom of a 5 gal bucket. This works beautifully, transfers fast and is surprisingly easy to use.

My only complaint is the one way valve doesn't come apart so its basically impossible to clean properly. Not an issue really for most transfers but I clogged it up trying to transfer an unfiltered ginger ale and it took some effort to get it cleaned out.

Poor Siphon
Seal was not good. Had to pump several times to get started, and would stop.. Will be asking for a refund.

Works Great!
I use 3/8 silicone tubing throughout my system. This 1/2 in creates a snug, airtight fit.

Have not used as the tube I got at the same time was bagged in a small bag and was kinked in 4 spots

Transfers quickly
Does the job in less time than the smaller auto-siphon. If you're currently using the smaller one, this one has to be primed a bit more forcefully just to get it started; but once it gets going, it really flows.
