Pour a glass, close your eyes and imagine yourself as a monk with a job to do. Now get to work and sample that beer.

  • SRM (Color Range): 8-9
  • IBUs: 27
  • Estimated Alcohol Percentage: 5.9%

Our recipe kits DO NOT include grain bags, yeast or priming sugar. To find our yeast recommendations, choose your preferred kit option above and then select the drop-down menu under “Yeast Options”.  For more info, click on the recommended yeast(s) below in the “You Might Also Need” section below. All grains will come milled, unless you select unmilled base malts.

Lived in Germany and found memories of some great Belgian Dubbels. Milled not available but works out since probably won't brew this for another month.

Do the ingredients in the Belgian Dubbel AG version come mixed together or are they packed individually?
Michael Snodgrass on Feb 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Each grain is packaged in it's own sealed bag. They do a good job of packaging and labeling everything.
Remember to order ice packs if buying wet yeast.

Must try
Great recipe. Used WL Abbey Ale yeast and aged on oak chips in secondary for two months. Love it.

Great beer
This kit on its own is spot on but if your making a Belgian strong it makes a great base kit to build on.

As always great more beer provides great product and fast service. Thanks to the team

Well liked by all
After brewing this, it's became mine as well as everyone else's new favorite. I can't seem to brew enough of it.

First Belgian
This was my first attempt at a Belgian. I used WLP530 and the first 2 months, the beer was VERY strong with flavors/aromas of dark fruit and raisins, with some rum and toffee in there. It has since faded and has become very balanced with some slight chocolate notes in the background and the toffee is more pronounced, but the dark fruit is still there, just not as strong.

Ages well!
This beer was great from the start, but just keeps getting better with age. I have some that is over a year in the bottle and tastes amazing and very authentic. I tend to think it is very similar to Orval, but I am no Cicerone certified taster. I just relax, don't worry and have a homebrew.

Amazing
I brewed this all grain using T-58 and fermented around 74. Absolutely delicious one week in the bottle (My new flip top) and I am having trouble letting this age properly. Excellent example of a Belgium Dubbel.
