Racking Beer (Siphoning)
Racking beer is the act of transferring beer from one vessel to another. This is usually done to remove the clean beer from any settled solids (trub, yeast, finings, etc) when kegging or bottling. For the home brewer working with carboys, racking beer is easily done using a racking (siphoning) set-up.
