Fruit Flavorings & Purees
Fruit flavorings & purees are a great tool to expand your home brewing horizons. Depending on which one you use, MoreBeer! recommends making the additions as follows: Purees are usually added to the secondary fermenter and fruit flavorings are added to the beer just before bottling.

Since the fruit flavorings are alcohol-based and the fruit puree was sterilized when it was canned, you do not need to do any extra work to sanitize them for use - just open them up and add them directly to the beer!
