If you want to learn the art of homebrewing, this book is the place to start.
How To Brew contains basic information for the first time brewer and technical information for the Master Brewer. This was the first book to include legitimate in-depth information on all-grain brewing at home. The author is a passionate homebrewer and a metallurgist by trade. There is a great section on the different metals involved in brewing and how to treat and care for them. The information in this book is so valuable, you will continue to refer back to it year after year--we know we do.
This is a new and updated version of How To Brew with more emphasis on the "top five priorities":
Sanitation
Fermentation Temperature Control
Proper Yeast Management
The Boil
The Recipe
There are also 5 new chapters:
Malting and Brewing
Strong Beers
Fruit Beers
Sour Beers
Adjusting Water for Style
Explore the evolution of one of craft beer's most popular styles, India Pale Ale. Loaded with brewing tips from some of the country's best brewers, IPA covers techniques from water treatment to hopping procedures. Included are 48 recipes ranging from historical beers to recipes for the most popular contemporary IPAs made by craft brewers such as Deschutes Brewery, BrewDog, Firestone Walker Brewing Company, Pizza Port Brewing, and Russian River Brewing Company.
Author, Gordon Strong, three time Ninkasi Winner at the National Homebrewers Conference takes you on a homebrewing journey.
Brewing Better Beer is a complete book how to brew great beer at home and win in competitions. A comprehensive format that includes tips, hints, examples, techniques, and recipes. Brewing Better Beer is the one book experienced homebrewers need to up their game.
Gordon won the Ninkasi Award in 2008, 2009, and 2010.
"Preparing for a homebrew competition helps you make better beer because it causes you to focus on what the judges will evaluate. So you have to optimize your brewing for the best consumer experience. If you can present a beer that will wow the judges, you can certainly have good beer on tap all the time at home."
"I really appreciate a good American Pale Ale. I think it's a good mark as to the brewer's skill since it's so straight-forward. It also can have a wide range of interpretations, so it does allow for some brewer creativity."
"I'm a Grand Master beer judge and the current president of the BJCP (www.bjcp.org). I firmly believe that becoming a beer judge is the single best thing a brewer can do to improve their beer since it helps you understand and evaluate your own products. It causes you to think about how the ingredients and processes result in what's in your glass, and to diagnose potential problems."
Everything that comes with our Deluxe kit plus some major upgrades Large 8.5-gallon brew kettle with ball valve port for easy transferring of liquids Copper wort chiller offers a quick & convenient way to chill wort — no ice bath required! Step-by-Step instruction pamphlet fine-tuned over 20 years for easy success Your choice of recipe kit included The Premium Homebrewing Starter Kit is our "get the best to start with" kit and comes with all the bells and whistles! Included in this beer brewing starter kit is a massive 8.5 gallon stainless steel brewing kettle, 7 gallon Fermonster fermenter, copper wort chiller, choice of ingredient kit, and all the time tested brewing equipment you need to make beer at home. Long story short, this kit has everything you need to start home brewing! We started with our Deluxe Homebrew Starter Kit (BRKIT20) and upgraded the brew kettle to an 8.5 gallon model. The larger volume kettle allows for Full-Boil brews which can have lighter color and better hop flavors. The included kettle spigot makes transferring liquid from your kettle to your Fermonster Fermenter safe and easy. Our kettle also includes a thermometer port with plug so that you can add a dedicated kettle thermometer at any time. You will also enjoy the new silicone handle grips and internally stamped volume markers. Then in order to quickly cool the beer after boiling we included our WC20 copper Wort Chiller (a $60 value!). To top it off, we upgraded the Fermonster by a gallon to a massive 7 gallon capacity. This can be key down the road when you want to brew certain styles of beer that foam a lot during fermentation. With smaller fermenters it can bubble right out of the top. Stay out of trouble by never making a mess! A larger kettle, wort chiller and bigger fermenter are some of the first upgrades new brewers make—save yourself the hassle and purchase these items at an amazing value as part of the Premium Homebrew Starter Kit, from Morebeer!™ The Fermonster Fermenter - A Huge Upgrade Over Standard Buckets or Glass "Carboy" Water Bottles Unlike buckets or glass carboys, the Fermonster fermenter was designed for brewing beer. It is made from tough, clear, virgin grade PET plastic so you can see the magic of fermentation. Unlike glass it will never break and shatter if dropped. It represents a huge upgrade over traditional buckets because these fermenters are much less likely to get scratched. Scratches can hold bacteria that can cause off flavors in the beer. The Fermonster comes with a built-in spigot that eliminates a long time issue in homebrewing of having to start a siphon to transfer your beer to the bottling bucket after fermentation is over. The large 4" lid allows for easily adding yeast, hops, or other additions. We also really love the molded-in level markers that tell you exactly when you have reached your desired volume. We Don't Skimp on Cleaning and Sanitizing Proper cleaning and sanitizing is one of the core tenants of making great beer. Some starter kits utilize an all-in-one cleaner/sanitizer that does neither job well. We’ve included the best-selling sanitizer for brewing, Star San. We also include Craftmeister oxygen-based cleaning tablets that make cleaning your Fermonster Fermenter a breeze. Other Upgrades That Make Brewing Easier We’ve also made a few items standard that really make the brew day easier including a thermometer for temperature monitoring and a hydrometer with testing jar for measuring sugar levels. Our reusable mesh bags allow for the easy removal of spent grain and hops at the end of the boil. The included stainless spoon is a really nice upgrade over plastic when you are stirring boiling liquids. Easy to follow, How-To Instructions with Videos & a FREE 800 Number with Actual Brewers to ask questions! We've taught hundreds of thousands of people how to brew in over 25 years. Upgrade your home brewery with an innovative, Stainless Steel, 7 Gallon Brew Bucket™ Fermenter! You will enjoy many of the benefits of a stainless conical fermenter but at a fraction of the cost and you are going to love how easy it is to use! Made by Ss Brewing Technologies from polished 304 Stainless Steel, the Brew Bucket™ fermentor is not only functional it is downright beautiful. At MoreBeer! we know brewing equipment and we truly believe this is a piece of equipment you are going to enjoy using every brew day.
We inspected and used the Brew Bucket™ and one of the most unique features that stood out is that the Brew Bucket can be stacked during fermentation, even with an airlock attached. We also like the conical bottom that allows trub to settle out in a concentrated space that minimizes the surface area of the trub that is in contact with your beer. The included Patent Pending Rotating Racking Valve is also a brilliantly simple design allowing you to rotate the racking arm inside the Brew Bucket down during fermentation to minimize trub, and later up to get clear beer when racking! Etched Volume Markers on the inside were super handy when filling and display in both Liters and Gallons.
The build quality is really amazing for the price. Welds are clean. The lid is strong and the spring loaded lid hatches are solid. The lid includes a removable, molded silicone gasket that ensures an airtight seal. We love an airtight seal so that we can be sure to see the airlock working. The welded on stainless handles make the BrewBucket fermentor super easy to move.
Overall: Very functional, easy-to-use, will last a lifetime, and looks amazing. Lets make some beer!

Five Gallon Stainless Kettle - It's Bigger Than What You Have in Your Kitchen
Over the years we found that many brewers thought they had a big enough kettle. They would go home only to return and buy our five gallon stainless steel brewing kettle. To make brewing easy, we've discounted our five gallon brewing kettle to be able to include it from the start! Plus, because it is made of food-grade stainless steel, you don’t have to worry about any off flavors imparted by your boil kettle.
We Don't Skimp on Cleaning and Sanitizing

Irish Red Ale is a genre-defying brew that continues to be one of our best-selling kits year after year. You'll love the deep, red color and distinct caramel flavor.
I Heart IPA was inspired by Bell's Two Hearted Ale, a universally adored IPA that features front-to-back hop additions of Centennial. Malt character takes a back seat to the pungent quality of citrus and lemon notes.
German Hefeweizen has a lovely blond color and distinct hazy appearance in the glass. This kit uses 100% Bavarian Wheat malt extract with just a dash of Northern Brewer hops for bittering.

Fermonster Carboy - 6 gal. With Spigot:
The Ported Fermonster is a brand-new fermenter designed specifically for fermentation. MoreBeer! gave product feedback for over 2 years of development and we think they nailed the design. The large lid allows for easy filling and makes hop or oak additions a breeze. The smooth sides are fantastic for sanitization - no ribs or texture to collect yeast or bacteria. The punted bottom allows sediment to collect to the sides so that you can siphon liquid from the center. Because they are made from virgin PET plastic, they're nearly unbreakable and a lot safer than similar glass carboys. Also notice the conical top which reduces surface area if you plan to store beer or wine long term.
Five Gallon Stainless Steel Kettle:
Made of high-quality stainless steel that is anything but cheap. The 0.5-mm thick sides and bottom are more than thick enough for this amount of liquid, and the riveted stainless steel handles on the kettle’s body make it easy to carry, even when filled. This 5-gallon kettle can safely hold up to 3 gallons of wort while boiling, making it the perfect size for brewing right in your own home!

You will also need one of the following to bottle or keg your beer:
(48) 12 oz or (24) 22 oz cappable Beer Bottles or a Home Kegging System
No more boil overs, no more blow-off tubes. Once you’ve used Foam Control you’ll never brew without it again! Foam control does just what its name suggests--it reduces foam production during the hot-break portion of the boil, and it reduces the amount of krausen developed during fermentation. Also known as FermCap S, Foam Control does not affect the head on your finished beer. In fact, it can actually increase the head by retaining head-forming compounds that would have been blown off during fermentation. It will settle-out of your beer before bottling or kegging as it is actually absorbed onto the surface of the yeast cells and filter media. Add two drops per gallon at start of fermentation. Comes in an eye dropper bottle for easy use. 1 oz is good for about 50 x 5-gallon batches of beer. Also available in bulk 1 gallon size. Note: Keeps best when stored in the refrigerator. Like Foam Control (FermCap S)? Then you will love CellarScience® Foam Axe - Anti Foaming Agent!
This easy to read book, is a great introduction to souring and wild fermenting your beer.
Explore the world of Lambics, Flanders, and the American variations of these styles like never before! These specialty beers depend upon fermentation by wild yeast and bacteria to give them their signature flavors. Jeff Sparrow has amassed a wealth of knowledge regarding these "non-traditional" beers and was able to put them into an easy-to-read book. This book covers the history of these beers, the breweries that made them famous, and gives an overview of wild yeasts and what to expect when attempting to use them in beer making. You even come away with recipes and techniques for cultivating your own wild yeasts to produce these sour beers.
National Champion Homebrewer Byron Burch gives his essential guidelines that will lead you to success. His recipes, techniques and secrets are revealed in this comprehensive book.
Heather has long been used in brewing, but especially in a Scotch Ale know as Fraoch. This herb imparts a nice aroma and a smooth hint of bitterness. Flavors are similar to a subtle Chamomile/mint blend with just a hint of lavender. Heather Tips are great when used by themselves, but can also be paired with honey. About 2 ounces added to the beginning of your boil will be plenty, but feel free to experiment.

Lallemand premium brewing yeast offers brewers unmatched consistency, reliability and purity from one batch of beer to the next
LalBrew Farmhouse™ is a non-diastatic hybrid that has been selected to make saison and farmhouse style beers. This product is the result of the research and development work of Renaissance Bioscience Corp. (Vancouver BC, Canada) in partnership with Lallemand Brewing. LalBrew Farmhouse™ was selected using the most advanced breeding techniques. The Renaissance research team used classical and non-GMO methods to remove the STA1 gene, responsible for the diastatic activity of Saison yeasts. Care was taken to retain normal brewing sugar utilization to produce dry saisons. Additionally, the patented technology from the University of California Davis (USA) ensures that the strain will not produce hydrogen sulfide (H2S) off-flavors, therefore enhancing the saison yeast aroma characteristics.

Updating the iconic series of Chronical fermenters is not something Ss took lightly. The Chronical was a product launched in the earliest days of Ss Brewtech. It, along with the Brewmaster Edition that would join a few years later, has formed a core product line that has elevated the standard of what homebrewers have come to expect from a cylindro-conical vessel, and what homebrewed beer could be.
So, with a blank sheet of paper, they went to work designing the ultimate Chronical fermenter. Priority number one was to continue on Ss's mission to elevate every home product they offered to sanitary connections and valves. For the Chronical 2.0 they addressed that by adding a new welded 3/4" TC sampling port, and paired that with an all-new sampling valve based on the Pure Flow sanitary technology. Secondly, Ss redesigned the lid to use the Unitank's lid-mounted cooling coil system, which removes the side-mounted weldless ports from the Chronical BME. The Chronical 2.0's lid-mounted cooling coils extend further down into the fermenter, enabling users to ferment partial batch sizes.
Although Chronical 2.0 is a massive evolutionary leap forward, Ss also stayed true to the product line's core. The full-width lid, a revolution when the original Chronical launched is retained, the pro-inspired 60° cone, and bottom dump port is still here. And last but not least, the ever-popular neoprene jacket from the Chronical Brewmaster Edition is standard on Chronical 2.0. This means that every Chronical 2.0 has a coil and jacket included as standard.

Curious about Sour Beers? This book details the wide array of processes and ingredients in American sour beer production, with actionable advice each step of the way. Inspiration and practical applications for brewers of all levels are provided by some of the country’s best known sour beer brewers, including Russian River, Jolly Pumpkin and The Lost Abbey.
Great read for those who, like me, find themselves wondering what about one of the most interesting and dynamic portions of the brewing scene today.
The Unitank 2.0 features 50% more cooling surface than the previous generation for better cooling efficiency and crashing performance.
Manufactured with professional level quality that has been the standard for Ss Brewtech's professional-level Unitanks
New Ss Brewtech Racking Arm co-molded with the geometry of the valve body and TC gasket which prevents the arm from coming loose
Quickly carbonate beer in under 24 hours using the carb stone while precisely monitoring head pressure
Adding an optional Sspunding Valve to the Unitank gives the brewer the ability to ferment under pressure
An evolutionary step forward in homebrew technology. The Unitank 2.0 builds upon the venerable Unitank line by increasing the full body wall thickness from 1.2 to 1.5mm 304 Stainless Steel. Then we added a fully laser welded, professional-grade jacketed cooling solution to the already advanced feature set the original Unitank is known for. With up to 50% more cooling surface area, maintaining a stable temperature and crashing your beer has never been more efficient.
Jacketed Cooling
The benefits of jacketed cooling are numerous, and such engineering has become the standard in Ss Brewtech professional Unitanks for years. With Unitank 2.0, those same benefits are available to the 5, 10, 15 and 31 gal home or nano brewer.
When paired with FTSs Touch and Ss Glycol Chillers, the Unitank 2.0 can provide an uncompromised level of fermentation control. The increased surface area of jacketed cooling allows more precise temp control not seen in the home brew industry. Additionally, the added surface area allows the fermenter to crash cool in even the most challenging environments.
Another benefit of moving to jacketed cooling is that removing the coil makes the cleaning process much more straightforward. When used with the Ss Brewtech CIP ball, cleaning can be performed just as the pros do in craft breweries.
Staggered inlet and outlet ports for the glycol jacket help with even coolant distribution in the jacket. The rear-mounted thermowell cleans up the coolant control wiring for an even more professional setup.
Keyed Racking Arm
Like the Chronical 2.0, the Unitank 2.0 features a version of the new Ss Brewtech Racking Arm co-molded with the geometry of the valve body and TC gasket; this ingenious design captures the racking arm and prevents it from coming loose. Additionally, the keyed elements of the valve allow the brewer to know precisely what direction the racking arm is facing based on the orientation of the valve on the vessel. What's more, the Unitank valve is the same full pressure-rated valve used on professional Ss Brewtech equipment.
All the Valves & Ports
The Unitank 2.0 continues with all the beloved features of the original Unitank. On top of all the fully welded TC connections and pro features, the Unitank 2.0 allows the brewer to quickly carbonate beer in under 24 hours using the carb stone while precisely monitoring head pressure. After fermenting and carbonating, the brewer can perform a true pressurized and closed transfer to a keg or canning machine significantly reducing the chances of oxidation when compared to open transfers.
Higher pressure limits allow the user to dispense beer directly out of the vessel. Lastly, adding an optional Sspunding Valve to the Unitank gives the brewer the ability to ferment under pressure and gives them the option to use the final few gravity points left of active fermentation to naturally carbonate their beer instead of force carbonate. This feature set and flexibility are why pro brewers use Unitanks in their brewing and packaging processes.

Haze Craze Flash Brewing® Kit
Haze Craze is the Flash Brewing® take on the hazy New England IPA recipe. Also known as a North Eastern IPA, or Juicy IPA, it quickly became one of the most popular beer styles in the US. It packs all of the hop character that craft beer nerds love, and it's much softer and less bitter than classic West Coast IPAs, making it a much more approachable style for the uninitiated. The style accentuates hop character while maintaining a smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Light in color but hazy due to heavy dry hopping, CellarScience Hazy yeast, as well as our custom blend of Flash Malt™ containing oats and wheat. Low in bitterness with a huge hop character due to hop-bursting, this beer will satiate even the biggest hop head.
NEIPA has become popular nationwide thanks to breweries like Tree House Brewing, The Alchemist, Hill Farmstead and Grimm Artisanal Ales. One taste of this delicious style will make it a staple in your Flash brew schedule.

The Brew Bucket was the first product and the origin of Ss Brewtech, and for many brewers, the Brew Bucket was their first chance to ferment in stainless steel. Nearly a decade later, Ss challenged their engineering team to pair some of the newest technologies with the original design.
Brew Bucket Pure Flow Valve
The star of the Brew Bucket 2.0 is the new Brew Bucket Pure Flow Valve. This valve uses Pure Flow technology, originally developed for the Ss line of professional brewhouses. The removable silicone membrane of the valve provides a sanitary environment where beer makes contact with nothing except silicone. Additionally, they have molded the racking arm geometry into the valve’s silicone diaphragm to provide a seamless flow path for beer when transferring from the Brew Bucket 2.0.
Sanitary Connection
The valve attaches to the Brew Bucket using a welded external garden hose thread fitting that allows for a compact, easy-to-use connection without the need to fumble with additional clamps and gaskets. The threads are located externally and sealed by the gaskets built into the Pure Flow silicone, keeping them clean and sanitary. With the new valve design, the brewer can fully rotate the racking arm 360 degrees for maximum control while racking a finished beer.
Conical Base
The Brew Bucket 2.0 continues what made the original a great solution for home brewers. The pro-inspired conical base helps minimize trub interaction with fermented beer, thus limiting any concerns of off flavors produced during maturation. Combined with the rotatable racking arm, brewers can effortlessly rack off clean beer like the pros do in craft breweries.
Full Width Lid
The Brew Bucket 2.0 features the same full-width removable lid as the original, with a wide access opening that makes cleaning and sanitizing a breeze. Finally, the included thermowell has been repositioned to the lid, and the increased length allows for accurate readings, even when brewing partial batches.

This BrewMaster Series kit was scaled down to a homebrew batch size in collaboration with the brewmasters at Social Kitchen & Brewery Decidedly dry yet sneaky drinkable and thirst-quenching with notes of tart citrus and tropical fruit Includes El Dorado and Mosaic® hops Estimated ABV: 6.9% Estimated IBUs: 24 Makes 5 gallons of finished beer If you're blue, and you don't know where to go to, why don't you go where dry beer sits? Puttin' on the Spritz! There's a new style on the scene that has everyone tapping their toes, and we're excited to bring you a beer from the man that started the tune. In our latest addition to the BrewMaster Series lineup we have one of the original Brut IPA's - Puttin' on the Spritz! This hybrid IPA is the brainchild of Kim Sturdavant of Social Kitchen & Brewery in San Francisco, California. We first met Kim on our journey to brew with and understand the amyglucosidase enzyme (the signature ingredient responsible for a Brut's dry character). Kim, being the stand-up fella that he is, was kind enough to not only share his knowledge of the AMG enzyme, but also the very recipe that shook up the brew scene and inspired countless iterations of the style. Despite its dry character, Puttin' on the Spritz is sneaky drinkable with a thirst-quenching profile. El Dorado and Mosaic® hops impart tart citrus and tropical fruit notes, while a grain bill primarily featuring pilsner malt and flaked corn makes for an ultra-clean finish with almost no caramel or overt malty flavors. Crisp, dry, clean, crushable. Curious about Brut IPA's? Check out There and Back Again, A Brut IPA Tale! In this article, our own Vito Delucchi takes us along on his quest to unlock the mysteries of the amyloglucosidase enzyme and discover the best methods for brewing Brut IPA's. Also be sure to check out Kim's Brut IPA website where he discusses the philosophies, techniques, and history of this emerging style. No Need to Upgrade Later, The X3 Comes Fully Loaded:
Built-in external cooling jacket with 1.5" TC Ports
Neoprene jacket for insulation
Pressure Pack lid with floating dip tube, draft style QD connections for sampling/serving, and an extra 1.5" TC for hop bongs.
The Clear Flex Chamber Bottom Dump allows you to see fermentation, collect and remove trub, and has added ports for purging, oxygenating, carbing and more... so flexible.
Highest quality mirror polish finish inside and out
Welded, ground and polished interior welds are the very highest quality and the ultimate for sanitation
New Features:
Professional 8” Tri-Clamp lid replaces the need for a complicated band clamp to attach the lid
Four crossbar reinforced legs, that flare out, create the most stable base and more access to the front fittings and dump system
Horizontal ports on the cone, just like pro tanks, allowing your racking arm, carbstone, and thermometer to have a horizontal placement in your tank. This allows for smaller minimum batch sizes, better carbonation, and more
3" oversized bottom port and Butterfly Valve with 3” tri-clamp Flex Chamber collection vessel
The new X3 from BrewBuilt sets the new standard for quality. We guarantee that you will love the fit and finish of the X3 Uni Jacketed Conical. Made entirely of 304 stainless steel, with flawless welds and a dazzling mirror-polish finish inside and out that is simply the best. The BrewBuilt X3 Uni is easy to sanitize and even easier on the eyes. It is definitely Instagram worthy! #BrewBuilt
External Cooling Jacket
When it comes to temperature control for a homebrew conical fermenter the holy grail has been an external cooling jacket. Internal cooling coils have long been the answer and while they are simpler to make and relatively inexpensive, they are harder to clean and have issues cold crashing in warm environments. The BrewBuilt X3 Jacketed Conical offers maximum cooling power without any compromise of sanitation.
8” Tri-Clamp Top Port
New to the X3, the 8” Tri-Clamp lid is rock solid and easy to use. The 8” opening allows plenty of space to still get in and clean the inside of the conical by hand if desired. A unique 8”, three-piece, tri-clamp is used to make sealing the top very easy and very secure.
Extra Large 3” T.C. Dump Valve
The largest in the industry. Dry hop to your heart's desire. Try as they might, hopheads will have a hard time clogging this conical. With an oversized 3" bottom port, you’ll have all the clearance you need (and even more than some pro brewers) to drop out your dry hop additions with ease. The slick mirror-polish finish on the inside allows flocculating yeast to collect neatly at the bottom of the cone as they slide right down the smooth interior walls. The butterfly dump valve integrates perfectly with the optional Flex Chamber Collection Jar and Yeast Harvester.
Reinforced Four-Leg Foundation
There’s a common complaint about the tippiness of three-legged units. Three legs may be fine when the fermenter is sitting still on an even surface, but users are often forced to purchase a bracing shelf for more stability if they add casters or leg extensions. A conical is only as worthy as its foundation, so BrewBuilt modeled the X3 after professional-level brewery tanks with a four-leg, reinforced base. This seemingly small design feature is more expensive to produce, but it's what makes the X3 conical exceedingly stable when compared to other models. When you fill up your fermenter with delicious fresh wort, you want to trust the vessel that’s holding your latest creation. Brewers shouted from the mountaintops that they wanted stronger, sturdier legs right out of the box that doesn’t require an additional bracing shelf. The four-leg, welded-bar reinforced system is absolutely rock solid. This is an especially critical feature if you plan to add rolling casters so you can easily glide the fermenter around your brewery.
The reinforced four-leg design not only increased the stability and strength of the conical but also allows the unit to stand taller, thereby eliminating the need for extensions in almost every situation. An elbow, a sight glass, or the Flex Chamber can be mounted under the unit with room to spare.
Adjustable Feet
The X3 Jacketed Conical comes standard with reinforced thread-in adjustable feet. If your home brewery has uneven flooring, you can quickly and easily level out the fermenter. The feet can be swapped out with high-quality casters at any time.
Flex Chamber Collection Jar - Trub Separator & Yeast Harvester
Working in collaboration with KegLand, we developed the pressurizable Flex Chamber Collection Jar. It attaches directly to the butterfly dump valve and can be used for removing trub, harvesting yeast, and many other tasks. Since it's made from crystal clear Triton, you'll be able to visually monitor fermentation activity just as you would with a sight glass. Ball lock adapters can be attached to the threaded ports on either side, allowing you to connect oxygenation or carbonation stones, or flush the Flex Chamber with CO2 and use it to inject hops or other ingredients into your conical. Also, a great option for storing yeast! Simply attach a 3" T.C. end cap or PRV and store your harvested yeast in the fridge for your next fermentation.
Pressure Pack with Clear Float Technology
Adding pressure capability will allow you to ferment, carbonate, and even serve all in one vessel. The Pressure Pack features the unique Clear Float Technology racking tube that can be used for taking samples, transferring to keg, or serving finished beer. This innovative feature draws beer from the top down, which means you’re always pulling the clearest, most sediment-free beer possible. Using pressure to draw a sample from the floating dip tube will also eliminate the tiny bit of oxygen that would be injected into your beer every time the traditional sample valve is opened.
Pressure transferring from fermenter to keg is the best way to protect your beer from oxygen when it’s at its most vulnerable state. Kegging could be considered the final hurdle in the brewing process, where limiting oxygen exposure is critical. This could mean the difference between your beer tasting great for months or tasting great for a week. Don’t take any chances. Use the Pressure Pack to keg from the top down and leave sediment behind.
Other Features You’ll Love:
Downward-facing Blowoff U Barb prevents blow off tubing from kinking and is much easier to remove and clean than a fixed stainless blow off
Stainless steel lid clamp with single-piece molded silicone gasket
In our GEN 3 redesign, we've added two more 1.5" T.C. ports to the cone and body for additional flexibility with current and upcoming product add-ons
X3 Accessories:
BrewBuilt Kit for Fermenting Under Pressure (Required to ferment or seal/cap an X3 with an active fermentation)
The Pressure Relief Valve (PRV) that comes with the conical is not sufficient for fermentation as it can become clogged with Krausen. To ferment or seal/cap an active fermentation requires the use and safety of the Pressure Fermentation Kit. This no-compromises kit includes the same hardware you will find on a commercial unitank, including a dedicated pro level spunding valve, a sealed pressure gauge, and a dedicated commercial PRV. Read more about these key hardware features in the kit copy. Also included is liquid Foam-Axe which helps reduce Krausen. Please read and follow all special instructions that come with the kit as well as your instruction manual.
Hop Bong Oxygen-Free Dry Hopping Device
The Hop Bong is a versatile pressurizable tri-clamp accessory that is perfect for purging oxygen from your dry hops before dropping them into your fermenter. Load up the Hop Bong, flush it with CO2, purge out oxygen with the handy PRV on top, then simply open the Butterfly Valve to inject your beer with a 6 oz payload of dry hops.
High Roller Caster Set
Go mobile with this heavy-duty caster set. Your fermenter moves around the brewery a lot, so why not give it some glide? Roll from sanitizing to kettle transfer to keg transfer to cleaning with minimal effort. Moving a stainless conical around can be taxing. Give your back a break and upgrade your conical with a set of rolling casters.
IceMaster Max 2
Built to pair perfectly with the IceMaster Max 2 glycol chiller. Easily and efficiently control your fermentation temperature and cold crash for conditioning and clarifying. Pair with our BrewBuilt Insulated Tubing Kit that comes complete with premium quick disconnects with shutoff valves that provide a “dry break” when they’re disconnected.
Immersion Heater
The X3's cone features a 2" tri-clamp port specifically for installing an Immersion Heater. The low watt density heating element gently warms your fermenting beer without scorching. A must-have for brewers living in colder climates or if you want the peace of mind that your temperature will never drop too low for your ale or kveik strains regardless of the time of year.

We've seen a lot of all-in-one systems over the years, but none are as feature-packed and affordable as the BrewZilla. While other units simply maintain your set temperature, the BrewZilla features a sophisticated digital controller which can be programmed with a full mash schedule, executing each step automatically. The built-in pump will continuously recirculate wort during the mash for more even heat distribution and higher efficiency, but thanks to the integrated camlock fitting, it has even more functionality. Add the optional whirlpool arm to make your late hop additions pop and speed up chilling time, or connect a camlock fitting and tubing to transfer wort to your fermenter. These are just a couple of reasons why MoreBeer! loves the BrewZilla, but there are so many More!
Our Top 10 Favorite Features:

Multiple power modes to cover each step of the brew day – low power to gently heat your mash up to full power for a rolling boil
Wort chiller included! Perfectly sized for this system and adds even more value to your purchase of the BrewZilla
High capacity brewhouse – with a volume of over 9 gallons, you can fit more grain and more wort to make MoreBeer!
Single wall design doesn't trap in heat – chill your wort quickly after the boil!
Super convenient bottom handle makes lifting/pouring a breeze
Rubber feet keep the boiler lifted off the ground and safely above any spills that may occur
Affordable! This is the best price for an all-in-one brewing system you'll find, period.
If you want to jump into all grain brewing right from your first batch, or as an upgrade from malt extract brewing, the BrewZilla is a complete turn key solution. The BrewZilla is an all-in-one electric brewery that has built-in elements for heating and boiling, programmable mash schedule and delayed start, a built-in pump for recirculation, an onboard water resistant control panel for setting and monitoring temperatures, a removable grain basket, and a built-in spigot for transferring. It is extremely portable and uses 110V power so it can be used nearly anywhere.
The V3.1.1 unit features an upgraded main circuit board that changes how the automatic step mashing functions. Now when moving from step to step, the timer for each step will not begin counting down until the programmed temperature is reached. This means more accurate mash schedules than ever before! The new board also introduces boil addition timers so you'll never miss the mark for hop additions.

New accessory! Check out the BrewZilla Whirlpool Arm, which uses the unit's internal pump to recirculate and spin the wort, improving hop extraction and chill times. No more stirring!
Automatic Step Mashing & Delayed Start!
One of the coolest features of the BrewZilla is the ability to program the unit with up to 6 individual temperatures and durations so you can step mash precisely how you desire. Simply press the "S1-S6" button to select the stage you want to adjust, and use the temp, time and +/- buttons to program the stage. If you have less than 6 stages in your mash schedule, program the stages you want to skip with 00:00 as the time and the controller will automatically move on to the next step. When all the stages are complete, the unit will sound an alarm and hold the last set temperature.
The programmable stages can also be used to set a delayed start of up to 23 hours in advance so that you can have your water hot and ready to go when you get home from work or wake up in the morning. In order to do this, fill the unit with strike water and program the controller with two steps. Step 1 should be programmed at a temperature lower than the unheated strike water (so the elements will remain off), and the duration should be programmed for however long you want the delay. Then program Step 2 with your desired strike water temperature and a duration of 1-2 hours, giving the BrewZilla ample time to heat up and giving you a margin of error in case you hit the snooze button the morning of brew day.
Recirculating Mash with Full Depth Malt Pipe
The built-in magnetic drive pump easily recirculates wort during the mash. We recommend getting some silicone tubing to go with the recirculation arm. This allows you more control over the recirculation and you can then use the pump to transfer your wort to your fermenter. As with any mash, be sure to stir your grain very thoroughly after mashing-in so you start out with an even temperature throughout the grain bed.
Some competing models advertise their perforated malt pipes as "high flow", but what they don't mention is how this affects efficiency. When recirculating the mash, wort will escape through the side perforations rather than passing through the grain at the bottom-most end of the malt pipe which can lead to lower efficiency. The BrewZilla's malt pipe is designed so that recirculating wort must pass through the entire grain bed before escaping through the false bottom and being pumped over the top of the grain bed again. If you're worried about the flow rate, simply add a pound or two of rice hulls to your grain bill. This is especially recommended when brewing with a high level of wheat, oat, or flaked grains.
Power & Heating Control
Dual heating elements run off of a single 110 volt plug and have individual switches allowing for more control over the heating process. One element is 1000 watts and the other is 500 for a combined 1500 watts! Use both when you need to ramp up the temperature quickly either at the start to get to your mash temp or to go from your mash temp to boiling. Use only one of the elements when you want to hold a temperature.
We highly recommend adding the optional BrewZilla Neoprene Jacket to help reduce heating times and maintain a more vigorous boil. The extra thick neoprene jacket is custom designed to insulate the entire kettle portion of the BrewZilla while staying out of the way of the ball valve and handles. The jacket can help you acheive up to 10% faster heat up times and cut heat loss from the boiler in half. And when it comes time to cool your wort after the boil, simply remove the jacket! While other units boast a double wall design for better heat retention, this actually becomes a disadvantage when it comes to chilling.
The digital control panel makes it easy to see the current temperature and set the temperature you want. The digital controller is also water resistant so don't worry about spills or some water dripping down the side. This controller is built for brewing!
The brewery also includes a stainless steel malt pipe with false bottom allowing you to easily shift from mash tun to boil kettle during your brew day. The malt pipe includes a handle to lift it out and tabs at the base so you can set the malt pipe over the kettle to let the wort drain out. It also has feet at its base to raise the malt pipe slightly off the base and help prevent clogging.
The included stainless steel wort chiller is shipped with bare ends so you can set it up for your situation. We list below the most common tubing and fittings to connect to a hose, hose bib, or faucet.
What MoreBeer! loves about this product: Homebrewing is trending in the direction of all-in-one, all-grain brewing systems and the BrewZilla is the ultimate value. The cost is half of the next comparable system with programmable mash steps and nearly the same as buying converted coolers and a kettle. We've brewed on all the systems and we can truly say the BrewZilla is the easiest to use. We feel confident that a lot of first time brewers could buy this and use it with ease. At the same time quite a few of our experienced, all-grain brewing staff are buying it to brew at home. The unit is extremely compact because the pump is built-in to the bottom of the unit. You can move it around with ease which makes it perfect for guys and gals that have space constraints. Someone on the team also mentioned how they like that you can drain it via gravity without having to use the pump. All in all a great buy and highly recommended. Please note you will need a few extra pieces of hardware to connect the wort chiller and at least 2' of silicone tubing for the sparge.
Use the Pump for More Than Just Recirculation!
One of the surprisingly handy features of the BrewZilla is that the recirculation pipe features a female camlock. This allows you to hook up other accessories and use the unit's pump for more than just recirculating wort. With a male camlock and silicone tubing, for example, you can use the internal pump to push wort through a plate chiller or counterflow chiller. Check out our selection of camlock fittings here.

Our Flash Brewing® malt recipes have been boiled and whirlpooled before they are dried. We then use a HopBite™ shot for bitterness combined with a mix of traditional hop pellets for flavor. Flash Yeast™ starts quickly and consistently produces clean beer that lets the malt and hops shine. The result is a high-quality beer that will absolutely surprise you.
